  1. Purpose of this question is not offence, or nerdrage, but to OP, why do you keep making WS threads here? Sure you can do so on Off-topic but why? Wildstar has forums too with many people willing to talk about that game. So why here :(

     

    Because I would assume that he's more connected to the swtor community as wildstar is new and is asking for opinions

    On the game from the community he's more associated with.

  2. I bought it played for about 2days off and on got to level 14 on a spellslinger exile human

    Just couldn't get into it the questing seems tedious my character has no voice which felt abnormal and disconnecting after playing swtor for so long.

    I didn't like the pvp with the combat system and felt the limited action bar Was limiting

    The pve combat was ok and I liked the multiple bonus challenges in every zone, and there's alot to do in each zone

    My character felt quite powerful from the get go and was able to round up and take on multiple mobs as most abilties were aoe and you get cc very early also which makes kiting easy and fun.

    In games in mostly pvp orientated and I found it very lacklustre and one huge cluster of aoe mess..

    For me I think I'll just play the new wow expac instead when it's released and swtor as even though its lacking in certain aspects The Combat and character animations are very unique and will always hold my attention.

  3. The same 5 or 6 pubs are always on the same team. Either no one q's over there or....well....you know.

     

    Lol no bodies queue syncing in the solo queue on pub side there probably 10 players That actively queue on pub side and that's through the day at night it's even less so yes you will face them over and over again Because that's all there is in the system. If you want to face different players every match then roll a pub.

  4. There's only around 4-5 on each faction actively queuing on the bastion. There's far more sins sorcs pt and merc and the respective mirrors queuing actively, Might be different on other servers but they don't seem to be that popular and I find that a good balance team Beat 4 stacks of any classes.

The first 10matches are the most important if you lose anymore than 4 you will be starting at around 1150-1200 if you win all 10 you start with around 1450 And with bad luck ie teammates purposefully throwing matches undergeared bad comps your rating can plummet fast. You will need to do a lot of games to catch up and the ratio will need to be 2:1 even 3:1. On the bastion if you're apac pub player the best time for ranked is during the day because at night the republics population is to low and you'll get stuck with a limited player pool to increase the chances of getting a decent random team
  6. I did the opposite actually. My main was a Operative healer on the Imp side of Bastion. I re-rolled a Jedi Shadow that is now my main. I'm kinda surprised a decent PVP guild has not taken up the challenge of dominating Bastion from the Republic side.

    It doesn't work like that midian/don't panic they're the same people it's the same with other guilds they play both factions. The top pvp guilds recruit good players and it does and can destabilise Other guilds

    nothing you can do about it because good players aspire to be in these guilds The player base for the server is too small which is the overall problem.

  7. The reduce time in FD to 10sec will need to have a reduced cooldown to 1 min

    To make it bearable additionally I would like to see sabre ward reworked to all damage not just white range/melee damage as it is guardians base defences against force/tech attacks are pathetic

  8. It's a combination of things you need to rotate interrupts on the healer tagrget swap etc

    Focusing a healer does not work especially if they are good and have a solid tank it's not going to happen

    Your best option is to focuses a dps and stop the healer from healing

    Sure open up on the the healer test the waters but if he doesn't drop you need to change tactics fast

  9. It will be a close fight now with ED in play Smash/focus spec has 2leaps 1long range and 1short range leap

    Both on short cooldowns and with smash/sweep now requiring a target it never misses, All sorc/sages should be specing into egress now as its available to all specs So on the first leap use force speed he wil try choke/stasis to keep range Asoon as that ends use force stun and force slow get range and open up, On second leap zealous strike/obliterate use your knockback ED/FD can be used from 70% enure +medpacs can be used anytime.

    Against a smash/focus spec you will only have short windows to actually get damage off Best spec against this would be madness or balance Guardians and jugs have very limited defences against force attacks So your damage should eat through his health pool learn to whatch for sabre reflect and the 10stacks Don't try to stop dps and out last the 30 seconds for FD/ED you need to burn through it.

  10. Learn to play with mouse turning and keybinds on a keyboard or better a Logitech g13 game device or a razer orb weaver The thumb stick its awesome for strafing circles with mouse turning

    And the compact keypad makes key binding with modifiers a breeze like 1-7 Then shift 1-7

  11. No one is saying this game was meant to be played solo, you want to group up with a few guildies? Thats fine. Your guild has 2 premades queing and they just so happen to end up on the same team? Ok, that happens I guess. But if 8 man premades were meant to go around roflstomping pugs BW would have allowed ops groups to que for wzs. It's as simple as that.

     

    While we do have 2 teams queuing its rare to all Get on the same team and if you try to queue sync you can waste half your night Trying to get the 2 teams in the same wz which is why we don't sync I think there are systems in place

    They may not work well it's like arenas we can have 4 in solo queue but only 3 get the pop never 4

  12. So if you got a pvp guild of eight or more 55's online all queuing up

    Are we supposed to stop and say hey xxx player we got to many in the queue system you better stop for awhile

    Cause someone might get but hurt... We super queue if we got the numbers and people want to group up

    This is the game find a guild or get some freinds it's not meant to be played solo...

  13. A lot of not so good republic players from the bastion have been fleeing to harb lately

    As they can't handle getting beat but the same groups of imps over and over so Hopefully that might help balance things out for you guys.

  14. Personally myself, I just switch all my fly-texts off, I don't care for seeing numbers or anything like that in PvP/PvE, I like having an open clean UI screen to look at so I can clearly see my view and what I'm doing

     

    Lucky for you that you have this option

    I'm requesting something simple that the majority of popular mmos have available As a basic function where inbuilt or by player created addons that's also completely optional So players that like you prefer to see nothing but also caters to players that want to see and reposition everything, Thanks for the input though.

  15. I have to agree the CC in the game can be very frustrating at times. I also agree there is strategy in using CC abilities and the right time. However, many people in this game do not use them strategically at all and the changes, I believe 1.4?, that allows overlapping stuns was a crutch for baddies and wish that BW would change it back so stuns do not overlap.

     

    I would like to see the following changes to CC abilities

    1) remove the overlapping stuns. If you use your stun on someone already stunned you just wasted your CD.

    2) make snare and roots respect the resolve immunity BUT do not add to resolve.

     

    I think if these 2 things were done it would fix most of the issues people have with it and make CC more strategic, and would fix the loss of control feeling alot people have IMO.

     

    I disagree with this because using cc to cap objectives is strategic but so is stunning your Opponents to prevent them from doing any damage to you that is also strategic play, You need to maintain as much hit points (health) as possible through out the course of an arena/wz and using cc Is a major factor in achieving this.

  16. While I love it on my sage egress being available to all specs except hybrid tele/balance

    It's a pain in this arse for melee but its needed I main a vigilance guard Duelling a tele sage with bubble stun and egress is a close Match otherwise it would be no contest

    I had 6 lightning sorcs in one wz yesterday and it was a massacre

    But with that said it will settle down soon enough everyone's just enjoying their new buffs atm

    I never said that CC needs to be done away with. What you described is the way CC is meant to be used.

     

    I am talking about the stun lock that doesn't break when damage is dealt.

     

    I read the thread I come from wow and know all about stunlocking

    It's not that bad 1v2 it's manageable to deal with if your cooldowns are ready

    Otherwise you just need to take it on the chin

    And more than 2 on you well you Not going to survive without team support anyway so stuns don't matter

    I've been completely shredded in arenas pulling off 743 total damage in one round it happens somtimes

    From your sig I gather that you play a Mara so people are going to shut you down as you're viewed as a high threat target and left unchecked will wreak havok.
