Hello fellow warriors
I'll be playing a warrior the next week and I ll love to use Jessa as a companion as much as I can. As far as leveling goes, wich will be the best AC and spec to suit her better?
I was thinking about a Marauder in Anihilation spec or Juggy in tank spec. Will that work? Will I have problems leveling?

yeah...interrupting with an ability that only goes off after a couple of seconds compared to instants(flame sweep) is the smart way to go ... not to mention the fact it has 15sec cooldown ...
Missile blast > Flame Sweep
Same AoE (5m)
Same Heat Cost (25)
Same Cooldown (zero)
BUT 30m range

not personally a fan because I like Dart's utility in objective pvp to disrupt multiple attackers, which is very important because all of our other AOE requires a significant investment.
DOA and flamethrower are both channels, flame sweep is prohibitive on heat. Good Old Splodey Dart is a reliable go to for cap blocking.
Do you know an ability called Missile Blast? You got it at level 1 its a 30m AoE and works wonders for preventing caps.
NEVER use a delayed damage skill for interrupting a cap.

both myself and a friend of mine had problems on tattoine (im a tank, hes a merc dps) we found that it was due to a gear gap, having not geared up the companion as well as we could as well as not having as good as gear for yourselves. i would suggest finding a friendly armourmech to make some gear for you and mako, or check the GTN.
this solved the problem for us immediately and made a big difference. hope that helps
Gonna try that. Too bad atm I'm quite broke after leveling diplomacy and buying the speeder.

Hey guys!
I just hit level 27 today and I've been having a blast with my powertech tank. Problem comes in Tatooine. Now I'm having some difficulties with packs of strong mobs or one elite. Mako isnt healing enough and I'n not dealing enough dps.
Should I change my spec during some levels and go dps? Should I wait for Gaunt and use it as my companion while I tank?
I'm not saying that it's difficult to level in this game, just having some issues right now.

i sometimes do check the who on my social tab to check out how many powertechs they are on a planet. Less than the no of fingers on my hand and im Polydactyly.
Random check right now:
32 Sorc
18 Assassin
12 Operative
10 Sniper
30 Mercenary (omg)
4 Powertech
24 Jugger
28 Marauder
I didn't took into account the "basic" classes.

My main is a sorcerer, I would like to play another Imperial class, my main interests are great story and PVP gameplay. Would you recommend the IA or BH ?
For Class quests either IA and BH are great. Perhaps IA is a bit better in the end.
For PvP Operatives, Mercs and Powertechs are very strong (even with the upcoming Operative nerf). Sniper sucks atm

IMHO the only problem with Dirty Fighting it's the Upper Hand requirement for wounding shot. Otherwise It would be a great alternative to Scrapper.

Nothing beats a punch to the face, a kick in the groin and a Shotgun blast in the back. Scoundrels are REAL man with steel balls that smash heads with a pistol whip.

As the thread says, who here actually uses it? I never do. I think the UI might have something to do with it.....the debuffs are so small......If you use it is it good? I can't even tell what debuffs do in the game aside from like damage over time.
I always use it in PvP before using Dissapearing Act. Just to remove the DoTs people usually put on you. Sometimes works and sometimes don't.
In PvE I don't use it because it's hard to notice the effects on you, or the DoTs. If I was able to modify the UI I'm sure I ll be using it more.
PD: I'm DPS spec'ed

I have a 28 scrapper, but I am afraid to continue leveling due to QQ from lvl 10 scrubs that got owned by a 50 with stims gear etc. I can't just level it up ******y spilt. I dont have a lot of time to level. So what I am asking continue to level or re roll because a nerf?

Is there a better way to know you are under the darn crystal so it hits the boss?
Im panned out 100%.. i run to where the crystal comes from so that I can better follow it but... damn... I am like 75% or so which is good but you cant miss if you want to win..
Anyone do anything different or have any tricks? I am told people standing far back can see it better..
Try to max the camera distance and use and angle of the camera to your advantatge, its not easy
Another option is that one of your friends guides you via voice chat

Did you /bug them or report them in any way, shape, or form?
Yup all reported. I also filled a ticket for the No Weekly quest completion and the droid replied something like "Thanks for reporting but were not goin to help you"
Oh and BTW after the Gharj bug we also had to reset the Phase and kill ALL the trash again.
Seriously, did bioware tested this raid? Because after two runs we found a ton of bugs and also other clans found them aswell.

Well I'm goin to get to the point:
-First boss not appearing after defeating the turrets. We left the Operation, reset the phase and at the 2nd try it worked.
-On the trash droids I ended with 12 Grapple debuffs. Well it doesnt affect gameplay but its weird
-We were goin to engage Gharj and we stepped on the MOUNSTROUS RANDOM WIPE RAID BOSS. The only thing I could do was /facepalm waiting for my toon to die.
-Well let's go to the Gharj part again... we engage him everything is Ok the raid is topped... but... he didnt jump to another platform!! I was the Raid Leader and told my clan to go full DPS. Gharj was at 20% and then he spawned the 2 groups of adds together and the new platform. We go to the platform and suddently it dissapears... wipe.
-After defeating Gharj on the next try only 3 people got their weekly quest updated. No one died on the encounter.
-The puzzle part was fine
-After the puzzle we wiped because of the MOUNSTROUS RANDOM WIPE RAID BOSS.
-On the fight against the Sith we had to reset it 3-4 times, because some people weren't able to damage their boss. We checked it and no one was helping each other :S It was very frustrating.
On sunday we will engage Soa and I'm afraid we will discover another bunch of bugs.

I can't remember which Flashpoint it was... somewhere in the 20's.
But i remember reading in General chat, LF1m DPS for.. *insert flashpoint here*
Class roles??? in a Flashpoint? Bwwwuuhuh? My friends and I have 3 manned flashpoints, and not even with proper specs or Roles. No healers even.. we just throw out a couple of backup heals when we can. We roll thru it with that challenge for fun as well, knowing we can do it.
Meanwhile.. everybody else out there is all worried about the STATUS QUO way of doing things.. PROPER DPS #'s... PROPER GEAR.. PROPER SPEC...
you know.. something like this? LF1M DPS ! Must have over 4200 DPS! etc.
Wait... you mean you can't do it with a person who has 4100 dps? or 4000 dps?
Who are the bads now?
Work with what you got, Deal with what you got. Come and talk to me about who's good or bad, once you've started doing that, and not cookie cutting everything to the point of Easyness.

True story:
Try EV on Hard Without 2 tanks 2 healers and 4 DPS.

Let me tell you a little story. While my guild was raiding ICC we had a DPS DK in the group who raided consistently and as a result had top end gear, however after each fight she was always in the bottom third of DPS. With the gear she had, she should have been in the top 2-3 for DPS. However, and this is the very important point...we cleared everything!
Now, were we carrying her? I guess you could look at it like we were, and I'll be honest, because of having recount there were days I felt annoyed. This is my POINT, with no recount I wouldn't have felt any annoyance at all because we were CLEARING the content. This person was a consistent raider who always showed up on time, and was enjoyable to raid with. Does this person need to be removed? I would say no.
The problem comes when you DO NOT kill certain boss :-/ Right now our clan is in the Soa boss and we cant kill him because we lack DPS. We have 1-2 suspects but we cannot confirm who's the one not doin his job correctly.
With a combat log parser its easy to know who's doin something wrong and we will try to help him gettin better gear, optimizing rotations or changing his spec.
If you're only doin Hard Mode Flashpoints probably you don't care about DPS. But when youre raiding hard/nightmare operations thats a different story

just wondering what class is better for PVE DPS Operative or Assassin
Very hard to tell because there's no combat log or Damage Meter yet. As far as I can tell in my clan raids I've been the only one able to draw the agro from the tank.
I'm playing a Scoundrel DPS (mirror to operative)
Also I usually top the Warzones damage

You can also swap the 2 points of Keep Cool for Exploratory Surgery, because in PvP You ll be lacking those Upper Hands Badly.

I saw a post on this yesterday, but it seems like it's not here today.
Basically when I am standing behind an enemy, sometimes back blast will not fire off. I get the scrolling red text saying: "Effect Condition Failed"
I've died a few times when I needed to fire off backblast and it wouldn't :/
Anyway, I sent in a bug report and BW says that they need a screenshot. I took one last night, but that's at home, and I'm at work.
Has anyone else had this same issue?

Afaik theres no damage meters or combat logs. So, how do you know that Jugg dps sucks compared to ranged classes and marauder? =)
