  1. Not really a line, but it is worthy. Near the Act 2 Finale for the Smuggler, you take a trip to Port Nowhere. When you show up and start the conversation, a different sequence plays depending on which companion you have out at the time. If you have Bowdaar out, after making Wookie noises at it, he hurls a droid bartender across the room before the conversation begins. I lost it and had to restart the convo just to watch it again.
  2. Having done this quest for the first time ever today, I'll throw in my thoguhts. While The World Razer does have a pre-existing story, I don't think a story involving him will happen. Since he is on Belsavis, I would presume he is a Rakata so dangerous he was imprisoned. On that assumption, I don't think BW would make another Rakata Ops boss. Also, his dialogue points to his destructive powers not being immediately available, saying that I would be dust long before he came to destroy things. He used that statement to try to convince me to help him. Then, after I tell him I'm gonna seal him away, he curses me saying that my children's children will burn. On top of all of this, he would most likely never re-emerge because there was a light/dark decision involving is fate and that type of stuff is nearly impossible to write around.
  3. Planetary storyline spoilers for both factions ahead.

I like Empire because most of the planet story lines aren't "This planet is in the toilet. Help us get it out." It feels most of the time Republic characters are going around fixing things, not on the offensive. I know its not in the Republic's nature, but that's just my personal taste.

Taris is exactly this. While Imperials get some real action on Balmorra, you're on this slimeball trying to fix it. Nar Shadda is very much "Establish underworld ties" for both sides. Tatooine is Czerka and Sand People, but the story makes more sense on the Imperial side, as the Republic doesn't see the monsters until the last mission. Adleraan is good, both sides get a warpath right to Ulgo's front door. Then, Balmorra is a liberation campaign, which was ok, but the Imperials went and turned Taris into a toxic middle finger to wave at the Republic. I skipped Republic Quesh due to 2XP weekend permitting me to. Republic Hoth starts off as "Save us we're gonna die any minute here" and then involves Republic/Empire collaboration, then makes the Hailstorm Brotherhood leader (forgot his name) look like a savage cultist, as opposed the honorable warrior the Empire sees in their Hoth. Then you got some salvage in the starship graveyard. The Empire was kinda meh on Hoth too but it at least had some idea of military strategy and beating the Republic by attrition. Having just started Republic Belsavis last night, it already appears that it'll be running around saving the Republic's prized little prison world. The Empire was excellent on Belsavis, freeing the Dread Masters was pretty awesome, even if it endangered the whole galaxy. Republic Voss I presume would be the same as the Empire, trying to put the Voss on your side in the coming conflict.

I can't really judge the Republic class stories, as I've only done 2 acts of Smuggler and no other classes besides 20 levels of Consular, which I like. That said, the Empire has 3 excellent class stories, and when I finish my Inquisitor, I'll see if they have a fourth.

  4. I think it is because that part counts as being of soft material (like the bit over the mouth on the cowboy-ish headpiece you can get from the bounty contract vendors) and thus will move with the chin when you are talking.

Why would a full face helm have any 'soft material' on it? Its a cool helm for my Operative, it sucks that the mouth moves. I tried using it but the mouth moving bugged me too much to wear this otherwise awesome helmet:(.

  5. As the title says, the Imperial Battle Ace Pilot Helmet has the strange property of moving when my character speaks. It is a full face helmet, none of my character's face shows. Then why does the mouth part of the helmet move as I speak? Is it a bug? Is it an oversight? This happens on none of the full face helmets I've used before. Why is it happening on this one? :rak_02: Any clarity as to why this happens would be appreciated.
  6. I'm gonna have to say the Smuggler Act 1 Finale. Many twists and turns make it very memorable and mind blowing the first time around. It goes a little like this...

Finding that Nok Drayen was the man in carbonite, that Risha was his daughter, and that his whole treasure trove was yours for the taking (Shy of a crown) was surprising and awesome. THEN Skavak pops out of your ship, gun in hand to take the loot after you retrieve it and you kill him. Upon return, Nok is slowly dying, and crowns Risha Queen of his planet, and then tells her to kill you, but she rejects his demands. Nok then dies thinking all his effort was for nothing, as Risha could never rule without being as ruthless as him. Watching someone like Nok be completely be undone and lose it was amazing.

  7. While I don't oppose this idea (More options=good), I don't feel that a force-user would fit into the crew of a non-force-user. One my favorite things about playing the Bounty Hunter was my lack of force-user. It made my Bounty Hunter feel separated from the force through the story. This also applies for the part of the Smuggler story I've played. It would be weird for the 4 tech classes (Trooper makes some sense) to have a force user. Why would one want to travel with a Smuggler/Bounty Hunter? In the case of the Agent, I say a force-user draws too much attention to fit the Agent's style. With Troopers, Jedi are used as part of the Republic military structure, so it would feel less awkward. Even with those points made, I like the idea of a healing companion that uses the force. I always wanted to Jasea on my SW, but I had to use Quinn in order to survive. A force-healer would fulfill my dream of 2 Sith terminating the Empire's enemies AND allow me to not die almost immediately.
  8. I think objective stealing is a bad thing no matter the circumstance. That said, I do it very, very often. Why? All reward, no punishment. If someone calls me out, I'll close the chat window or swap characters for a few minutes. When it happens to me, I silently accept it as objective karma making me pay for my past wrongdoings. In a game like this, objective theft sadly is an inescapable fact of life.
  9. I know of the existence of this mission, it is confirmed by both TORhead and this website's Elder Game Guide, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. It is supposed to be available at level 53, so I should have no problem getting it on my level 55, right? I've checked the fleet and Makeb. If it makes any difference, I'm on the Imperial side. I couldn't decide what category to put this thread under, so I stuck it here. Thanks in advance.
