  1. It's SUMMER, and Bioware has hit a two-month delay in launching their new expansion. You honestly think because a couple of queues didn't pop this will immediately mean server mergers? Absolutely not.

Wait another month til housing launches and summer wanes, and we'll see how the population is then.

My guilds gone from around 35-40 to about 7-12 online during peak hours over this month, sure some of its due to summer but most simply lost interest (same bosses and scenery over and over despite the increased levels of difficulty gets mind-numbing after a while, the pvpers just got burnt out) and granted fleet numbers are still high, when more than 50% of your guild trickles off the game starts to feel a little empty.

As for the expansion, never really saw the point to housing in games like swtor though that might depend on what exactly you can do with it, if its purely cosmetic then it just seems pointless to me (afk spot?). Hopefully there's more to this expansion than just housing and guild ships (hoping that too isnt just a gimmick).

  2. Going off-topic for a bit, but I don't think my question was worth its own thread.

After playing around with madness for a bit, is there a better way to keep track of my dots besides singling my own out of everyone elses? I haven't been playing it for long so maybe I just lack practice but my rotation falls apart in an Op that requires a certain amount of situational awareness.

I've been looking through the interface editor for some option to display my debuffs only but I can't seem to find it or anything similar, not sure if I'm missing something.

  3. I'm not a beginner, I've played and won my fair share of Queshball and still find it tedious, so until I can opt out of Queshball, I see no reason to not complain.

    Conclusion:

    Screw Queshball.

  4. Nothing more depressing than getting Queshball 4 times in a row.

Had to leave, get off my *** and soak up some sun.

  5. It doesn't matter if it's just her or if there were a hundred NPCs with that style. It doesn't fit with the rest of the art. It'd be like walking through a classical art gallery and coming across a stick figure picture on the wall amongst the other paintings. The difference isn't on that level, but it still doesn't look right when put next to the existing styles we have in the game.

Agreed, I can understand them wanting to create a unique looking character but she just stands out in an awkward sort of way.

Not sure if its the hair, attempt at mascara (at first I thought it was a facial glitch) or near invisible eyebrows but its like a badly animated version of my kid sisters' barbie doll.

  6. Hutball, IMO, just...sucks.

it annoyed me a bit that they spent resources on a new map for it, but I guess its popular enough to warrant one... right?

What PvP in this game really needs is a bigger population (X-Server support) and a large persistent battleground. I mean comon, this is the Old Republic era of Star Wars, we should be seeing some huge conflicts. Instead I've got a what, 2 in 6 chance of tossing around a ball?

    American football in space FTL!

PS. I really really really really really wish you'd make it so that I'm told exactly which Warzone my que just popped for. Makes me feel a bit guilty every time I leave a hutball wz.

  7. The flash points are only a prolog of the overall story line. They are design to introduce you not tell you the full story yet

I'm aware, I would have liked the full story but just a prologue is fine.

This on the other was like reading the first page of a book, there was no depth and the flash points which should be important events felt like trivial "clear out those guys over there and come back" quest.

  8. After finishing both FPs and story I found the experience to be quite anti-climactic, considering that we're invading/retaking the seats of power for both Sith and Jedi, I expected something a bit more epic. The Flashpoints didn't have anything to offer, it was just in the way of quest completion.

Crappy loot and unimaginative FP-related vendor armor design aside (Seriously, two identical sets with differing color variations and ugly to boot? That's what we have dyes.) All I got from this (Empire side) was some lame foreshadowing and Lana the animated barbie doll, I'm quite sure she's the most plastic looking model I've seen so far.

  9. Recently started this game, and have been playing Imperial. After hitting max on my main I decided to check out the Republic side of things and went Consular/Sage, and was surprised to see that the force lightning mirror ability is basically a pebble storm?!

To seriously think that of all the abilities displayed over the Star Wars saga, that this was the best they could come up with, is insulting.
