  1. You won't "lose" them. My point is, if your server is dead now, then just reroll another toon elsewhere until you're able to move your 50's. Either that or unsub /shrug.

Yeah he wouldn't lose them; he just wouldn't be able to play them again until the hopes of one day the server becoming randomly active again. That is a poor premise and one of the more annoying responses I regularly hear on this forum to peope on dead servers.

  2. I think once the free transfers have cycled through, they will begin to allow players to move to any server of their choice for a fee.

Which of course is what's ridiculous. Some players will be forced to pay because their particular transfer did not create a viable server population.

  3. Well either way for the moment it's back to League of Legends which may turn out to be the only game I play if this crap doesn't get fixed. I really enjoyed this game a lot but this is beyond ludicrous. If we don't get ours today I will be extremely upset and probably unsubscribe until they add our server to the list, because literally I've been waiting for this day to come so I can move and play again and I am literally paying for a game I haven't played in about a month.

Exactly, I've been on my "free month" and haven't even touched the game because of dead servers. The ironic part is that you may not even get a good option to transfer to once you finally get your chance. That is the part that burns me.

  4. What enrages me is I wait forever for this day to come, and I am on Thendys Noori the second least populated server according to Torstatus and we didn't even get on the list. Saddest part is neither did the lowest populated server. What a joke.

Exactly, my server is ridiculously dead and these "progressive" rollouts will take how long?

I have no idea how they determined their transfer servers but now the rest of us must wait not only for the option to transfer but hope we get a good option of a server to transfer to solely by the roll of Bioware's dice....which ironically may not fix our experience in the slightest. Then what? We wait another three months to have a "paid" option to go to a good server that many got a free option to transfer to? Terrible concept.

  5. Clearly Fatman is the last highly populated pvp server. Good news for the one server who was able to transfer there for free.....guess the rest of us have to pay in a couple of months to have Fatman access. The rest of us now have to wait and hope we get a good option to transfer to. Strong work Bioware. BW's ability to enrage their customer base never ceases to amaze me.
  6. Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Game Director James Ohlen highlights some of the new content coming up in Game Update 1.3 and beyond, including a fully-featured Group Finder, a Character Transfer System, several new Legacy Perks that allow you to customize your experience, and more!

    Watch Now

Good thing none of this will help the current state of SW:ToR. You are losing subs left and right bringing the game to population extinction, and bioware is spending their time on legacy perks? Really? The group finder can be "fully featured" but pointless when there are 6 people on the fleet of each server.

  7. As a fresh 50 with full recruit gear... Pvp is still depressing. I really enjoyed pvp while leveling... But at 50 i did not enjoy going in and not even be able to put a dint in the opposition. Being facerolle in pvp because everyone out gears you is not fun and just a turnoff.

Pvp should be about skill... Having pvp gear that mitigates player dmg etc destroys that concept. As a fresh 50 im not expecting to faceroll people but a fair fight would be nice.

PVP at 50 is horrible in it's current state. As soon as you roll to 50, it becomes a button smash, glass cannon battle, excluding Marauders of course which are just dumb OP at the moment. Its like going 35 mph in a residential zone then hitting the freeway at 70mph. It can be shocking for the first time.

  8. Seems patch 1.2 and the class balance fiasco has done to WoW what Blizzard could not do and that's is actually grow sales as well as secure a phenomenal 6.3 million sales for D3.

If that was not enough GW2 the follow up to GW1 which sold over 6,5 million has had more box sales then actually players logged into SWTOR right now!

PvP balance or lack of as well as lack of PvP content has driven this game into a rut.

The best thing these guys at BW could do is revert class balance to pre 1.2 unless of course its true that game designers are playing Marauder!

Yeah Blizzard should be sending Bioware the best Christmas wine basket ever this year.

  9. I guess I'm talking in a general sense here. To get my anecdotal bit out of the way, I went back to DAOC about six months after I unsubbed (this was 2003-2004ish) and played for a good year or more. That's the only game 'I" can ever remember being lured back to, and that had more to do with friends still playing it then the lure of the new features.

How about you guys? Ever been lured back to an MMO after an unsubscribe and played more than a month of subscription after coming back?

SW:ToR is a little different when wondering if people will ever return as compared to many other MMOs. Bioware has immensly angered its original fans to the point of disgust and resentment, only similiar to the result of the Sony/SWG fiasco. If you pull up any gamer website currently, there are hundreds of flat out "hate posts" against Bioware and what they did to this game. As with Sony, this reputation is still held today after around 6 years; a positive MMO reputation will take years to regain by Bioware... if ever. Old subscribers will not return and new subscribers will be hesitant to try the game with this much negative press all over gaming websitea.

  10. Look, before you ask, it's not only Bioware's fault, but the community's. By un-subbing, the population lowers, in which ironically people un-sub about there being low population *Chuckles*. However, this is also bioware's fault by spreading out the community in having too many servers. Just my 2 cents here.

Yes we should all continue to reward Bioware's blatant incompetence by paying our monthly subscriptions so that "one day" they can figure out how to run an MMO. That's a geniius point.

  11. You sir, fail. A lot of us put a good deal of effort into our mains and now we can't play them. I feel robed and I too have lost faith in BioWare. I will not be resubing.

The mere fact that there is already a "last stand" server on Fatman in order to have a community, is sad. Everyone in the game should not have to reroll or transfer just to have a poplulation to participate with. Those who make that move are going to be disappointed within a couple months anyway. The thing about a last stand server is that it dies eventually and quckly too in the end. This game is in ashes and it will not recover.

  12. so depressing I spent all this time leveling my character and getting him gear to compete, the ques take forever and there is nobody to fight in world pvp (the funnest part about mmo's). The developers dont seem to be overly concerned about fixing PVP, 1.3 is still some time off, and has a lot of fluff and zero solutions so I will sadly have to unsubscribe. UGH I hope bioware gets its act together I will be following patch notes, heres hoping there is a game to come back to when they do finally get there heads out their arses.

Thats because 95% of servers in this game are dead. I'm on Iron Citadel and I haven't seen more than 15 people in our fleet all holiday weekend.

  13. So im playing huttball last night. I have 2 guys healing me as i grab the ball from the middle and make my way towards there goal line. I got my iphone stopwatch going.

I make it probably 10 feet in the span of 50 seconds holding the ball. Between stuns, roots, mezz, snares etc etc.

    Really?

Why arent roots and snares affected by resolve? And why cant a grapple someone with full resolve? If they can root me, why cant i pull them? What is the logic behind this ?

Wouldnt it make more sense to be immune to all CC whilst your resolve bar is full?

Wouldnt it make sense to get some sort of immunity to all cc after you use yer stun breaker? even 5 seconds?

Games are meant to be fun. Being cc'd for 50 second continously is not entertaining at all.

Anyone else think the whole system is ridiculous?

edit: Oh and why does my huttball pass target disapper when i get cced? Why do i have to keep spamming my hotkey so hopefully i can get a target so i can pass the ball in the split second before im cc'ed again. Why cant the target just stay open the whole time. Just seems ridiculous....

Resolve has been broken from day 1, but what hasn't been broken in this game?

  14. The difference is that mauraders can do as much or more damage than any other class BUT stay alive 5 times longer which puts them in God-Mode. There are tons of threads about marauders because it is a blatant OP problem that BW refuses to fix.
  15. So is anyone on the development team looking at the amount of damage Marauders and Sentinels are doing in PVP?

They practically faceroll the keyboard and win, hell half can auto attack and kill you outright.

I am mainly a ranged class player, and before you say "Learn to kite". It's pretty much impossible, and if they are halfway decent players you may as well /stuck and just respawn faster.

I know how to kite, the problem is that they have too many "O ****" buttons and gap closers....O and stealth for a few seconds, don't forget that...

If you think the model for their damage is fine you need to give ranged class the ability to perma slow them so if we are fail enough to let them stay on us the entire fight we deserve to die.

I understand SWTOR is still a very new game in terms of MMO's and honestly PVP is pretty balanced against the classes for just coming out. But this Marauder / Sentinel stuff is just out of control.

Marauder in "god mode" has been a severe problem for a month now. BW could give a crap about this game however. They are too busy doing PR damage control to take any type of real interest in the game.
