  1. I've been hoping for the last year that they would fix this. :( It's a small change, sure, but color crystals are fun for a reason. What's the point if some of your skills don't use them? I didn't realize that snipers didn't have this problem. That makes it even more unfair!

Its one skill. There are hundreds of more important bugs. There have been visual bugs with just about every class since the game came out.

  2. Yeah, sure, but they were supposed to bring them up to pair with 4.0. it sort of happened, but it`s far from complete IMO.

I much prefer DP/TFB over EV. Mechanics are fun. We used defensive CD-s and swaps appropriately and beat the fights eventually. No problemo. It`s just the imbalance I am talking about. An enraged EV boss should at least hit hard. But it has an effect of a slow rubber frisbee hitting my butt. Not much.

Bioware doesn't care about operations anymore. They put the least amount of effort possible into bringing them up to 65 and thats it. Which is why you don't see any new drops bar a couple deco's, and why certain ops are a complete pushover. Pretty sure there wasn't any testing done because of certain bugs that occur such as Arkanian loot dropping in hm, no loot at all, etc.

  3. You all can thank yourselves for the content being too easy. This forum *****ed and complained about how everything was too hard in 3.0 so now you have easy content but you're unhappy cause its too easy? Do you all even know what you want anymore?

You want something challenging then go into nightmare ops. If you don't raid then sorry to break it to you but you're never going to be happy because the content is not going to be difficult outside of operations. Which even then several if not all the ops got nerfed pretty hard so...

  4. I want stuff back. I want to know where to find stuff & get it. Stuff is good. Right now I mostly want Hellfire stuff but that is no longer available. That is no remotely cool.

    Bring back my stuff.

Put the vendors back & their gear back. Happy players (who pay for this game) playing their happy games.

Put the gear as quest rewards back & as loot drops back. All of it.

    Okay. Simple. Do it.

Your attitude is awful. People like you are why I would hate to be a community manager.

  5. You're comparing the first operation the game ever released several years ago to one that came out a couple years after the game released. Of course they are going to be way different. To be honest hard mode is not bad at all. The damage output is easily manageable when you use defensive cooldowns appropriately.. If the hm ops were all the same then every fight would be a tank and spank like EV was with little to no mechanics at all.

The easier hm's are there so that people who struggle or are new can get gear without having to do content that is actually challenging.

Oh and you should be doing a swap right as/after you get hit for 70k on Raptus. That's how it always was before people outleveled/geared the instance.

  6. They haven't done that yet, so I don't know where you'd get that idea....there have been countless awesome looking armors removed from the game in expansions over the last few years that have never reappeared...I'd gladly pay for them but they appear to be just gone forever. Instead, we get the same re-colored, re-skinned crap with every new cartel pack.

All the old pvp and FP gear from launch, from before RoTHC and from before SoR has all vanished. I don't even think the recipes for the few pieces that were craftable drop anymore.

You do realize that the old columi/rakata operation/some old pvp gear was recently re-released through Cartel Packs correct? So they definitely have done that already and will do it again. I wouldn't be surprised if they rename the Kell Dragon/Dread Master shells and sell them through the market to make more off it.

You can't sell armor through the Cartel Market right after you removed it from the game, but you can if you wait a bit. Not as many people were playing when Rakata gear was standard so the time gap has been long enough that people such as yourself don't even know that they're doing it.

Personally I don't really care and its better than just completely removing the armor from the game. But people love to ***** about anything so...

  7. Who gives a thing about tactics I wanna jump all over the battlefield and look cool doing it. Have you seen mad dash that stupid thing has no precision and its a sure way to die because in this game there a ton of platforms with a never ending hole. It was not removed but it went great to close the gap when you killed one mob nobody wants to lose time moving from mob to mob. Marr/Sentinel are dps nothing else but dps they are nothing else but dps they can not afford to lose time not doing dps.

Damn it bioware why do you destroy what you do right.

What? Mara dps is in a better spot than it was the entirety of 3-4.0. As far as mad dash being a sure way to die and having no precision, you go 20 meters in the direction you are facing and Tyrans is the only fight I can think of that would be risky to use the ability. Adjust to change, you'll be better off.

  8. No. Just no. Now you always have a leap up when you need it and aren't forced to blow your leap on CD for focus/rage. Anni mara's now have a leap to use for mobility 100% of the time, a brand new gap closer/immunity (which is also amazing, if you disagree its a l2p issue.) in the form of mad dash, and while not as new the ability to use predation every 30 seconds without the cost of a berserk/bloodthirst. (Predation also provides 10% melee/ranged defense to your group. A very useful bonus.) On top of everything else you aren't forced to self root yourself to build focus. I'm sorry but there is literally no reason to complain about the change. Stop thinking inside the box and trying to hold onto the same old static rotation. This change is good for the class and only that.
  9. HM +2 solo with companion is doable....its just boring and repetitive. Why would I pay to be bored by repetitive content?

Right now other than a couple implants, an earpiece and my PVP relics, everything I have on is 190 and I've had that gear since completing SoR.

Am I really that wrong to feel like an expansion should benefit all players and not just the top end raid core of the game?

Then what do you even need the gear for? You don't need 200+ gear to do any solo content in the game... I just don't understand why you're having a problem aside from wanting something you don't need for any reason but to have it.

  10. The Story is the only thing about TOR that isn't a sad WoW clone. There is already WoW and a ton of other WoW clones that are all very debatably better.

Yeah, I love FPs Ops, and PVP, and hope to continue to see more, but at the same time I'm glad this game is finally trying to make it's own way instead of being the lame WoW clone with VO questing. If you want to play a WoW clone, WoW is still probably the best one on the market.

WoW is fantasy, SWTOR is sci-fi. I'm sure many have tried WoW and didn't like it for "x" reasons. I did and lasted about 20 minutes before I knew it wasn't for me. Some people just don't like fantasy and while certain aspects of the game may be better if you don't like what the entire game is based off of you're probably not going to enjoy it as much. In a perfect world the raiders would just go play WoW, Pvpers go to whatever game has the best pvp atm, etc. However its just not that simple unfortunately.

  11. Yes.

The story is the only good thing about TOR. The people who think it has any other redeeming qualities are morons and delusional. The PVP is awful. The gameplay is tedious and they're making it less so. I'd rather wait 6 months for well-written content because, guess what, I don't spend all of my time playing this game. Imagine that. If you want an MMO that gives you 6 months of boring content, that's on you, go play all of the other games. GW2 has better PVP. Wildstar has better gameplay.

    Look at my sig, bro.

You do realize that there are things called personal opinions and your post is glaring with them? Some people don't give a damn about the story and do enjoy other aspects of the game such as raiding and pvp. You call people who enjoy different things from you morons? I'm sorry but you are the real moron here. Not sure how you don't know what an opinion is but some people are just not very intelligent I guess.

  12. Raiders can have this game as far as I'm concerned. If this is the direction BioWare wants to go, thats not a decision I can change, but I can definitely state that I will never be interested in raiding in this game or probably any other game after it, its an old MMO dynamic that is no where near even interesting to me any more. Even toxic PVP culture is more acceptable than toxic PVE raider culture where people think they deserve the best because they figured out how to beat some visual math and think they're actually good at something, at least toxic PVP players actually have to be good enough to beat other human beings, and not just a string of repetitive code cycling until a boss reaches 0 health.

Raiders can have this game? You clearly have no clue of what you are talking about. This game has been dumbed down and ripped to shreds to cater to people like you and the best part is you're never gonna be happy til you get a button that lets you 1 shot mobs that drop the best gear. You don't need top tier gear to run around roleplaying with your companions/build a pixel house so your complaints are completely invalid.

I especially love the bottom half of your post. where you say "Even toxic PVP culture is more acceptable than toxic PVE raider culture where people think they deserve the best because they figured out how to beat some visual math and think they're actually good at something, at least toxic PVP players actually have to be good enough to beat other human beings, and not just a string of repetitive code cycling until a boss reaches 0 health."

You sound like a bitter child with a strong sense of entitlement. You do realize this is an MMO right? Not a single-player role playing game. There are plenty of options for players like you who don't want to do group content and there is nothing you are going to do that requires high end gear. If you REALLY want it then you can just buy it. This post is pointless.

  13. There are way less resources being put into raids in this game than you think. You get more than enough RP content throughout the 12 months of the year while we had what 2-3 new raids last year? All of the content you guys got and you for whatever reason think raids should become a thing of the past so that what....you can have more? Some of us mainly enjoy the raiding in this game as well as PVP and don't give 2 ***** about housing or the newest cartel pack but you don't see us whining that they are putting resources into it. Think about other people before you let words fly out of your mouth.
  14. As people have already said somethings missing. Did you pull the boss and fail to move whenever load lifters came at you? Consistently eat fire barrels? Do poor dps and/or take unnecessarily high amounts of damage? Bulo is one of the less problematic fights for melee. So either your guild is bad, they want to clear the fight ASAP, or you aren't telling us the whole story. Oh and 100+ pulls i kindve a lot on Bulo HM so that makes me even more skeptic. Although honestly with that many pulls even if you died at 30% at some point your guild should still be able to kill the boss but whatever.
  15. A common parse for me, not the highest nor the lowest, i'd say one of the "normal" parses these days...

don't ask me about my gear as i would love to sink into the bottom D:

without lags and trying to reach a nearly perfect parse i think 4,6++ is daily business for a watchmen sentinel

if there are question regarding translations or anything let me know =)

but for the community, how can you even parse that high ?! O.o with the lags i am having, impossible....

ps: alacrity = 0 as i want to try out moar things and till there are to many puppetlags i am not thinking of going into some alacrity

For the lag don't parse unless its late at night. The lag is unbearable earlier in the day and its impossible to get a good read on what carnage is doing because you are unable to do things such as reliably clip ravage and maintain a perfect apm, a 4.5 sec gore window would have made this much more bearable but you know.

In 192 gear with a 198 offhand/ruusan relics I'm able to consistently do 4750+ dps and 4800+ on the high end. I feel that in 198's the average will be 4900ish with a possible 5k on the high end for anni with really solid crits.

As far as alacrity goes I'd recommend throwing in a piece. While it doesn't sound right it is. Just try it out.

On a side note lol @ all the edited parses on Torparse. For being down a really long time (a year?) and all the time that has been spent supposedly working on the site it sure looks someone started working on it last week. 95% of the old features are "coming soon" and viewing logs is a joke you can't even see crit rates/average damage.

  16. While 8 may be a bit over zealous 10-11 is definitely doable. 1 tank 8-9 dps 2 healers. If you assume 1 or 2 of the dps can cleanse and some have self cleanses there shouldn't be much of an issue. Also if your cleanse CD is reduced for the older operations then there would definitely not be an issue with death marks. It was possible to under man before 3.0 came out and now with the 5 level difference and amount of hp players have in 192+ gear the damage going out would be much easier to heal. Plus if people weren't standing in stupid the fight wasn't extremely heal intensive. The only issue would be DPS. Obviously you aren't going to 10 man it with randoms on fleet. But randoms on fleet aren't going to be selling the runs either.
  17. Hello,

    TL;DR

    - I want all the HM FP from 50 and 55 available at lvl 60 group finder

    - I hope new FP will be classic FP again and not tacticals

    - I would like 8 man Ops in group finder instead of 16

    - I would like a counter to show how many people are queing for an Ops

    - I would like to be able to run older Ops through the group finder at lvl 60

Eventually I'm sure at some point they will add the old 55 hms to GF, but I don't think the 50 hms will be added seeing how the enemies can't even hit you so that's a little much. Maybe if they create something similar to bolster which lowers your level instead, but other than that doubt it'll happen.

I highly doubt we'll be seeing anything but tactical flashpoints from here on out. The classic FP structure will be what hard mode FPs are, as seen in the xpac.

I agree 8 man should be the amount for GF. 16 man with the new ops is laughable with a pug. Not worth the time. I suggest just finding a group on fleet, you'll get better gear running through it and the token pieces are better than 198 comms gear plus you get the set bonus. Overall win. Farm ultimate comms through weeklies. DF/DP hm still give ultimate comms so thats a great way to get them.

A counter for GF que would be amazing. Unfortunately I don't see this being implemented anytime soon. I'd love to be proven wrong though. (Edit: I'm pretty sure this is what Remari was referring to and they are planning on implementing this. So that'll be really nice to have and will probably encourage more people to que up and be a nice QOL change.)

Doubt the old Ops will be put into GF ever if they follow with what they've done in the past with not allowing people to que for operations at a lower level. Guess we'll see though.

  18. I don't want them to nerf content, however if they are going to make content queue-able then they should remove the penalty for a non completion.

I've said it before and I'll say it again I still think story mode shouldn't have lockouts, only hard and NiM.

There is quite a few reasons why these suggestions would never work. If they removed the penalty for non-completion then people would leave even faster if things went wrong than they currently do. They also can't remove lockouts for story mode because then people would be farming mats and the market would be destroyed. (Yes I know its already ruined thanks to exploiters but that shouldn't happen to begin with.)

You also need to consider how quickly people would get burned out on the ops that literally JUST came out. If you were around during the tfb/sv cycle you know how tiring running tfb over and over and then S&V got. There are huge gaps between new operations and to keep people from quickly getting tired of them they need to keep lockouts.

Plus I mean unless you just started playing you should have plenty of alts to run on and the SM ops don't require anything higher than basic comm 60 gear. I don't see an issue with lockouts.

  19. Really I'm trying to find out with the lack of abilities that have a Crit/Surge bonus, and the changes to Alacrity, would it be worth stacking Alacrity earlier to try to get an extra attack in during a Gore/PS window?

At some point it may be. I haven't done much testing using alacrity but as it stands you are able to get an extra attack in the current gore window WITHOUT the alacrity and even berserk. To be able to do this you need to know how each attack works and the time it calculates the damage it will deal. For example dispatch will not decide how much it will hit for until the saber reaches the target. What this means is you can use dispatch/vicious throw and wait half a gcd or so to hit gore/ps and still have the armor pen be applied which allows you to get in an extra massacre/blade rush under gore. If you have berserk/zen up you can also use vicious throw/dispatch - ravage/master strike - clashing blast in one window.

Dispatch/Vicious throw don't calculate whether it is under gore/ps til hitting the target - can wait to use gore til the last Milli-second.

Massacre/Blade rush damage is calculated as soon as the GCD goes off. This means that you can get it in the window even if gore/ps is out when the attack hits the target. A tip with massacre is to use the trick with dispatch so the window looks like this.

Dispatch - (gore before saber hits) - Clashing blast - Massacre

You can get this window in even without berserk/zen up. Another good window to use with the dispatch trick is

Dispatch - (delayed gore as described above) - Ravage - Clashing blast

In order to get the window I just mentioned you need to clip your ravage/master strike. Ravage/ms deals the full damage before the 3 second (or less with berserk) cast is up. I can't tell you the exact timing off the top of my head but you basically just need to practice doing and get a feel for it. If you clip your ravage/ms you can get more than 1 attack in a window at once easily, if you let the cast go its a 3 second one so you'll never get more than one which is a dps loss.

Even if you already know all this I'm sure someone who reads this won't. Which is why I wrote it.
