  1. Rage mara's can pretty much counter everything you do. You'll never get a ravage off, or get use out of your gore.

No marauder will ever get a ravage off against another one, even if yours is talented to be uninterruptable or you force crush the guy. That is, if the guy doesnt have downs, wich is a rare thing. Gore can indeed be pretty useless tho, but that doesnt mean he cant out dmg you. With alot of gear and well used cooldowns, the Rage burst can be countered, while the carnage has alot more substained dmg and has a good chance to win in a 1v1 situation. Equal gear and equal skill situations rarely happen tho so its hard to know

I also agree with the OP that we have good dmg, but 0 utility, wich would make our class somewhat obselete in any kind of competitive ranked PvP. As great as our dmg is, there are other classes with the same dmg output and utility. We also are getting stunned and knocked down ledges all day, and with 1 gap closer and no real stun, while most classes have more than 1 stun and knockback, we get kited alot.

  2. I agree the DK killed my warrior and playing marauder i get a little of my warrior back! Only this time im leaping through the air with light sabers and a bad attitude.

The thing im interested to see is this. When everyone is 50 and has decent to good gear will be still be throwing up large numbers? I kind of feel like a class that does a lot of dmg but if a group of ppl see me they will go out of their way to kill me first. Im thinking once everything settles down its going to be healer, marauder, everyone else haha.

Time will tell but for now im having a blast pvping and look forward to it developing and becoming more competitive.

Altho, opinions from random players playing against other random players, who are both possibly at a low skill level and gear level doesnt really mean anything, I have beat lvl 50 geared marauder with my lvl 12 bounty hunter just as lvl 12 marauders have beaten lvl 50 bounty hunters, it doesnt mean **** whatever any 1 has done.

Taking that into consideration, my lvl 50 Marauder does dish out pretty good damage and can 1v1 most classes with equal gear, if they have downsyndrome that is (luckily most people do!). The damage is not the problem, the class is decent, the problem is all the kockbacks and stuns combined with the *******st resolve system ever.

All the classes, except us, have some kind of stun or knockback, or both. Very often, especially in huttball, you need to charge on your target to get to him alive, and what happens is you just get kocked back down, or stunned and kited. Our slow is sub-par and the only stun we have breaks on damage. If you charge a target with his knockback or stun on cooldown, youll probably **** on him. If not, hes going to either stun you and run away/kite you until he stuns you again and eventually kill you, or knockback you and do the same thing.

But, I mean, its okay, like I said, most people in this game are terrible and panic when you jump them so you will still get kills and somewhat good damage, but be ready to get trained and kited and knockbacked ALOT. Im not saying the marauder class is completely broken, just very frustrating. Add the whole Ability delay and ravage bugs/other gamebreaking bugs making the gameplay a bit boring too.

In competitive PvP scene, this class would not do well at all, but most people here dont even know what real competitive pvp is and think doing 400-500k dmg and screenshotting it means they are good, so wont realize the problems with the class and will still enjoy the class, so have fun with it, its still fun, just annoying!

TLDR : YOU GET TRAINED, CC, KITED AND PUSHBACKED ALOT, ITS ANNOYING AND FRUSTRATING THE VERY RARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A CLUE IN THIS GAME WILL MOST LIKELY WIN IN 1V1 SITUATIONS AGAINST YOU. YOU ALSO HAVE ALOT OF GAMEBREAKING BUGS

  3. For all you baddie Scoudrels/Operatives who think you are not op.

Step 1 - Get full pvp gear (400+ Expertise)

Step 2 - Hidden Strike target for 6.5k Crit or 4k Crit

Step 3 - Backstab twice for 3.5k Crit or 2k non crit

Step 4 - Stealth back and repeat

They trinket your stun? Just run around them backstabbing them to death, you outdps every class at that point/gear

You also have about 15-16k HP so the only ones who can really **** on you are other well geared lvl 50s

If you get 1v1 as an operative with 400 Expertise, reroll now, cause you suck.

Crying is irrelevant tho, the nerfbat will come, whatever all those bad WoW Challenger kids are saying about the class not being op, or all you butthurt people saying OMG SO OP

Until then, ill enjoy my 97.5% win ratio and farm my gear some more.

  4. As soon as more Operative/Scoundrels hit 50, this forum is going to be Crying Central.

Everything people say about operative not being op is correct, until we hit lvl 50, then it becomes a ****fest.

Also, the resolve bar system is broken to ****, so that doesnt help

  5. Hey, so my friends group did Boarding Party on hardmode, the last boss made them wipe a couple of times but they managed to kill him, only to have his chest be non-lootable.

Now, when he asked about it in the guild, some people mentionned that wiping on hardmode makes it so you dont get the loot from the boss in question. I havent found any mention of that anywhere and that sounds like a bad idea if Bioware really did implement that.

What me and my friend tought is that it was simply bugged, like pretty much every part of the end-game right now.

Anyway, is there any 1 here who can confirm that?

  6. You want the combat area on the Fleet. There are like four tables with 4 NPC's behind each one. there is a table for every class, so theres one for Trooper, Knight, Consular, and Smuggler ( there arent titles though that tell em apart so look at their appearance to help find yours. In addition, the four at each table sells different tiers. lower levels ( 20, 30, 40) want the one just titled PvP vendor ( not champion or battlemaster). ALSO, theres a PvP weapons NPC around there next to the PVP quest terminal that sells your PvP weapons from lvl 14 and up.

    This.

  7. Hey gus,

What about Space Combat PvP? I'd love it.

It would obviously not work with the arcade gameplay that missions have, but something like Star Fox if you ever played that on the nintendo. Missions where arcade, but in PvP arenas you had full control to navigate your ship.

Hopefully in the future, their air combat is really well done so it has alot of potential
