  1. While I agree with this comment, the devs don't always do this. Most of the time they don't take the servers back down to fix this so I doubt they really care that much due to their past history.

Times do change. I'd rather give them the benefit of the doubt rather than keep calling up their past mistakes *shrugs*

  2. I'd rather it go down several times and get everything right, than go down once and things still be super broken. You should actually be THANKFUL that EA/Bioware cares enough that they catch mistakes and correct them before it makes the servers unstable, thus making the game unplayable, thus making players unhappy. I understand it's frustratingly annoying for the servers to go down when you want to play, but wouldn't you rather the bugs get fixed rather than just left for players to exploit and/or work around themselves? At least the devs care enough to fix the problem right away rather than let it sit while the complaints pile up
  3. couple ideas I think would bring back old players, and attract new players. Firstly, don't make F2P so restrictive. Ease up a little on it. Another thing, add content for new people, new flashpoints, new side quests that tie into the storyline, things like that. You're a lot more likely to bring back customers and gain new ones if you add new content for everyone to enjoy, not just end game stuff and a new level cap.
  4. ^lol, so true, would be ignoring every 13 year old in existence.

Wait...13 year olds play this game?!?!?!?? Oh God *cancels subscription immediately*

lol in all seriousness, Bioware just needs to invest in a large mumble server that's separate from game servers. And everyone who has mumble (not everyone does, believe it or not), can create a channel on that server or join a public channel. But...I don't see Bioware doing that, because as you said, they won't invest the money in a new server. Or maybe they will, who knows?

  5. start --> run --> msconfig and turn off everything you do not absolutely need. You'd be surprised how much crap runs in the background of windows.

That was one of the first things I did, but thanks. What I'm looking for is in game settings and/or ini tweaks to make the game look good, while reducing or getting rid of the lag

  6. Can anyone suggest some settings or ini tweaks to where the game looks good on my system, and doesn't lag to hell? I've got a low end system, specs are below:

    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13Ghz

    4GB RAM

Nvidia GeForce GT 430 4GB video card

    30Mbps Down/5Mbps Up internet connection
