  1. The objectives themselves are better and more fun. Instead of going out of our way (regular activities) to do a mindless grind (kill x insects on y planet), we are funneled towards the fun activities.

Yet, the new system still creates more frustration than fun.

As the objectives do not give the same amount of points, you can very easily get screwed over as happened to me today.

I got to 24/25 on the GSF objective for 12 points. Then, in a moment of distraction, remembering the weeklies reset tomorrow, I used my reputation tokens.

It completed me the reputation objective (8 points) and my whole week of GSF farm is made completely invalid.

From a shoddy designer's point of view, this is fine, because it is only a difference of 4 points, it is minor.

The reality is that the difference is my endless hours of GSF poured into it, for nothing.

Remove frustration, add more fun, with this simple fix : unify the point reward values.

ESO has a comparable system : you have 5 weekly endeavors available, you can do 3.

When you accidentally complete one, it is a happy surprise. There is no frustration, only fun.

Swtor player mindset when tackling the weekly season objectives : oh crap, which ones do I have to hop through hoops to avoid doing by accident?

My main is a Sith Warrior, I had to be careful not to complete the "do 15 quests as Sith Warrior" by accident because it only gives 8 points and it could screw me over. And I still failed.

This is not well made and it is not thought through, even if the objectives themselves are better. It is not fun choice, it is pressure and punishment.

  2. I was having this same problem, but when I was on a level 75 toon, I was able to open the grade 11 satchel of crafting materials. I'd doublecheck that to be the case. The satchels are legacy-bound, so you can at least dump them into your legacy bank and use a 75 toon to open them.

This works. My Smuggler level 73 had eight satchels, I placed them in legacy storage then took them back on my Jedi Guardian level 75. I could open them all.

  3. Another dead character appeared in a dialogue of "Objective Meridian".

    Exactly :

I have killed Darth Vowrawn and Darth Shaar on Mek-Sha yet Vowrawn has a line in the dialogue of "Objective Meridian" quest when talking to the Dark Council.

Here are details on my character, should they help to find what causes the bug :

Chiss Operative saboteur. She sided with the Empire on Iokath (Acina still lives) but chose the Republic afterwards.

I have not taken any saboteur options on Onderon and Mek-Sha. But I have killed Vowrawn and Shaar at the end of Mek-Sha.

I did not pick the saboteur option at the Corellia flashpoint either.

In the quest "Objective Meridian" when I do the dialogue whose objective is "Speak to the Dark Council", I told Jonas Balkar that I wanted to stay a saboteur.

  4. During the dialogue of the "Objective Meridian" quest back on the fleet (the one whose objective is "Speak to the Dark Council") I have encountered a bug where Theron is wrongfully having an input in the dialogue.

My character, a marauder, had romanced Theron then left him to die on Nathema. The character had also romanced Malavai Quinn and killed him on Iokath.

After Lana speaks, Theron says something while being invisible and all my options are about answering him. He says "There's supposedly a pretty crazy party happening up in the officer's lounge. I can behave, if you want to go."

  5. One of my toons had her hair restyled randomly. She uses Hair style 3, and the Toon Modification Station shows that it is 3 but instead showing one of the Cartel Market unlocks visually. Only affected the one toon that's using that hair style.

What it looks like right now:

    What it should look like:

As it stands, she's too embarrassed even to start Onslaught because some hair stylist butchered her hair in her sleep between last night and this afternoon.

One of my female's human hairstyles got changed when I logged in after the update. My toon used to have female hairstyle # 3 (similar to Jaesa's hair) but it got switched to one of the more recent hairstyles. So I went over to my SH's appearance mod station and saw that it was the same as female human hairstyle # 58. Female human hairstyle # 58 is listed twice at the mod station now and the old human hairstyle # 3 is nowhere to be found. Even if it were listed as another number, there is no way I am going to pay 40 CCs to change it back. Now I have to suffer looking at the ugly female hairstyle # 58 (which makes her look like an emo girl.)

Same bug to me. My female Mercenary has hair style 3. (body type 2) It was replaced with another hair style, while in the appearance menu it still shows her as currently using number 3.

  6. Back in the beta, the last title for Sith Warriors was "Emperor's Wrath". Close to the release it was changed to "Darth", probably after lots of feedback from players wanting both Sith classes to end up "Darth".

The problem was that the french translation team kept the old translation. French Sith Warriors had the "Furie de l'Empereur" title, which is the french "Emperor's Wrath".

The patch replaced "Furie de l'Empereur" with "Dark", as it should have been from day 1.

Frenchs translated "Darth" in "Dark" back in '77 because they aren't used to pronounce "th". Ask a french to say "the" and he'll come up with "ze" if he's not very used to talking english.

Our cultures makes us used to pronounciations, try to make a Japanese say "Excalibur", or an English say "crème fraiche" properly.
