  1. I was wondering if BW may, in the future, give us the ability to rename our companions the way that hunters can in WOW? It just doesn't seem as emmersive with 1,000,000 players running around with all the same companion. I can live with them all looking alike, but they should have different names.

    I promote this one

  2. The mouse worked fine in WoW, and I had working in RIFT and EQ2.. So I know that it works in other games.. everything with SWTOR and outside equipment is buggy as hell and annoying.

It could be the lack of being able to make macros in the game. If you want a alternative try using a logitech g300 its 40.00

I've been look online and it seems this mouse just doens't work with SWTOR, you could try reinstalling the mouse also that may help

  3. Figured I'd start a thread not dedicated to ************ and moaning about what appears to be an experiment in EGA launching.

I'm not necessarily talking geographic locals, however - University of Tennessee, sup?

I mean games; what gaming backgrounds make up our late-to-preorder SWTOR community? Lineage2, WoW, Gears of War mainly. Can't stand CoD as of late. love you

FF11 and 14, WoW, DCOU, LOTRO, Warhammer Online

Guild Wars, Maplestory, Rift. DND online.

I tried most of the AAA mmo's on the market right now so i have a vast understanding of MMO's or MMORPG's and countless console games

I'll play SWTOR loyaly until GW2 then i'm out for good

  4. So I did a search, and can't seem to find any "active" threads on on this issue.

So last night I was able to bind all 14 buttons on my mouse, today I log in and low and behold nothing is working. I did have to re-boot my PC for an update.

Anyone have any ideas on how to make this work again? I tried mapping keys to SWTOR then make the same key macro's but that doesn't work at all... Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

This is not in anyway confirmed but I read that another player was having the same issue and the mouse might not work with anything other than WoW. My advice is boot up WoW and see if it works properly first

  5. "Darth" is the title of someone who is both a tool in real life and in this fictional setting, all things considered.

But if you want it, go for it. Only Sith Inquisitors I heard though. =(

Ironic when you think about it.

The real tech would be naming yourself WingDuck and then getting the Darth title.

Well the title means something to Me, It's my introduction to the Star Wars universe. So A tool I will be

  6. What I heard is that SI and Warrior can be Darth or Lord.

You get Lord from finishing the first third (or was it second) of your class quest lines, and Darth when you've finished up the entire class story-line.

Thx I don't wanna be a Lord only a Darth, anything less would be disrespectful

  7. I don't have early access (because I preordered Monday). So now I'm stuck between watching other people play via twitch.tv, Skyrim and WoW... please god no more WoW. :jawa_wink:

What are you other procrastinators doing to pass the time?

I just cancelled my WoW account still gonna play the time I have left though. Itz gotten stale over there

  8. I'm having a really good time with this game so far.

But some UI limitations are bugging me.

No shift/alt/ctrl modifiers for self heal or attacking your focus is really annoying. It's default key is Home or End, which is just bizarre.

A simple macro fix would make this problem not exist, but insanely you can't make macros in this game either.

Please, look to other MMO's for advice on basic UI functions.

They are working on it the UI needs some adjustments but plz no macros

  9. Some other threads are stating people are running this game on max settings on their laptop... this game runs REALLY poorly on my laptop. So bad that I have to turn the game down to the lowest settings AND reduce the resolution to have it's native res...

I'd like to know what, exactly, is in your laptop and how the performance is. Here's my specs:

    Intel i5 @ 2.67GHz

    8GM RAM

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 420M

    240GB 6GB/s SSD

I would have thought the game would have played a LOT smoother. The native res is 1920 x 1080.

(I normally play this on my main PC but I'd also like to be mobile and not have to play at a lower res)

All my drivers are updated, etc... I don't run any AV or background processes that suck up resources...

try this site it gives pretty accurate info of you system http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=363&game=Star%20Wars:%20The%20Old%20Republic

  10. I played SWTOR beta with 8800GTX and C2D 6750 but both OCed and i had everything at max except for AA which was grayed out and shadows at low (yeah shadows who need that)

with a res 1680x1050 (i have the second screen for Internet Browser Vent and hardware monitoring) the frame rate was around 45-50 and on some rare cases drops to 25 for 2 secs or so.

So all the hype around getting top of the line hardware when you don't really need it is pointless. except if you want to play BF3 or Skyrim ay max then yeah you'll need to get top of the line components

well i bought this laptop because I plan to play more than just this game
