  1. OK thank you, Also
Tempest Warden's Breastplate for Female Sniper is bugged! The backflap clips through her body everytime you heal or do some moves in combat.

these 2 bugs are still present in the game developers please fix the bugs of these 2 affecting the female sniper and female assassin and jedi shadow. the running in combat animation is bugged for female shadow and assassin and imperial sniper female the tempest warden breastplate clips through the butt of the female revealing her butt armor. please fix by star wars the old republic legacy of the sith. PLEASE ITS ANNOYING.

  2. Agreed. I think the cooldown should be 6 mins. That is, IIRC, the same as an unmodified Quick Travel CD.

Better than what we have currently, 60 minutes is way too long. (Sorry I was away, if people thought this was a necromancer bump - devs need to lower heroic travel timers big time, 6 minutes is fair.)

  3. currently they are 60 minutes. that is way too long. please lower them to 5 seconds. like the other forms of fast travel. they used to be ridiculously long like 30 minutes to 60 minutes to 24 hours. now they are 5 seconds the emergency fleet pass and quick travel.

please lower the heroic missions (+2 players) there is atleast 20 of these on a terminal on the fleet, to 5 sec cooldown on the fast travel to them currently they are 60 minutes.

    thank you.

  4. OK, so let's say they decide to do this. What do they optimise it **for**? Multicore processors? Fast graphics cards? Acceptable performance on slow processors? Acceptable performance on slow graphics cards? Good performance when there are lots of characters in view just standing around? Good performance when there's only, say, 16 players and a couple of bosses all flailing away with flashy abilties?

Multicore Processors and Fast Graphics Cards atleast.

You can't optimise for *everything*, and MMORPGs have wide variations in what they do, what hardware they run on, etc.

In a perfect world, it would be everything.

Justify. Why do you think it would onlly take 6-12 months?

because its the game engine that can take a long time i think if they put a team to it, they could do it in that amount of time atleast. at most, 2 years tops if the dedicate to it. like an expansion pack.

You post on a public forum, you get feedback from the public. The reason why "some techy" (that is, someone who actually knows the subject matter) posts that sort of thing is that BioWare (more properly EA) is a business, and decisions must be based on, or at least consider, well, business realities. Those realities say that if they develop X, there is Y amount of net business benefit, and if they develop Z, there is W amount of net business benefit, and because Y is tiny and X is a huge chunk of work, while W is huge and Z is a tiny amount of work, we're liable to see Z, even if we would prefer X.

In this case, it's worse still, since the business benefit is impossible to quantify, and the cost is huge.

they make so much money off this game and put so much money into it its not even funny in an imdb it said its the most expensive mmorpg ever made if they just put more money into it again and start working on it to improve it so it doesnt lag on gaming systems (which is the point of this thread, as it does, so they need to improve the game engine) since the game still makes money as the game is still maintained so it should still be supported, thats my logic.

On a more practical basis: would you want to see a total blockage of new content for whatever time it takes them to develop the newly-optimised or re-engined version of the game? And a whole raft of new bugs that don't show up in internal testing because they *cannot* test everything?

No i would not want to see a total blockage of new content for them to develop optimizations for the game. they do a pretty good job of squashing bugs on new content in this game ive been playing this game since 2012 off and on the amount of bugs ive seen in the game i can count on my right hand alone they get a 9/10 overall on this game from me to be fair. 10/10 if im in serious mode because i see this games potential they just gotta put the time and money back into it again.

  5. seeing how good video cards are nowadays and systems this game could use an engine optimization pass. they did this for PlanetSide 2. in this case its easy to get well over 60 - 144 - 200+ FPS in this game fully maxed out with a good video card RAM and CPU and monitor. Devs what do u think so this game doesnt hiccup / stutter when well over 60+ fps. dont get me wrong it looks really good on G-SYNC 240HZ monitor at 1440p dynamic super resolution from Nvidia.

but if u guys can make a engine optimization pass like how daybreak did for planetside 2 u just gotta do your research and put effort into it i say u can do it in 6 months - a year. its well worth the investment if u put a team to it. will bring players back and revitalize the game and is a much needed upgrade to star wars the old republic as a whole.

please no one shoot this down its much needed for this game, constructive feedback only please so devs seriously take it into consideration. that means no posts from some techy saying 'oh the resources are just too low' or 'its not worth it' or 'they would be better spent somewhere else this game is going on 10 years, resources would be better spent somewhere else, etc.

PLEASE CONSTRUCTIVE FEEBACK ONLY PLEASE! I really want the devs to make this happen!

  6. considering all the complaining we've seen about people death matching during objective driven matches, it would be a good idea to have a death match que. There's been some good ideas here, don't really have anything more to add, except adding support, the more voices requesting it, hopefully the more they'll listen :)

EXACTLY! its a sense of Humour!:) I hope more people contribute. the people that dont get it i will enlighten. thx for the support!

  7. I think there's a debate here that's hard to decide: are players playing Warzones to participate in PvP battles, or are they playing them to complete matches for the [DAILY] and [WEEKLY] missions?

I personally am playing to participate in PvP battles. If people are playing to complete daily and weekly missions they don't have to alter what we currently have that can stay. What we have is casual atleast. But i'm advocating better queues so PvP as a whole can be better in this game as it is it's too simplistic. It needs more features like Flashpoints. Atleast for me more hardcore options for PvP like how they have master mode and normal mode for Flashpoints. Pvpers example: Ranked 8vs8 [x] ranked huttball [x] and they already have ranked arena. Team Deathmatch really is needed for ground PvP outside of arena for a game of this caliber. They already added that in for space called Galactic Starfighter in 2013.

On imdb it said this game is the most expensive MMO ever made going up at over 250,000,000 million spent on it. Well if they have that kind of money they should put more into it on making more PvP match options as it is, unranked, and ranked, isn't good enough especially when u compare that to Flashpoints.

On Flashpoints there are 5 categories with checkboxes for each mission. Story Operations 4/4, Story Uprisings 10/10, Veteran Uprisings 10/10, Veteran Flashpoints 24/24, Master Flashpoints 26/26. This exact format is whats needed for PVP. Also they need that many maps for PvP. That would be swell, like Counter-Strike. They need to focus more on PVP nowadays with how much money they sunk into this game. They just need to do quality of life improvements instead of the tedious stuff like story and balance. They do Story and Balance ALL. THE. TIME. The Story and Balance is there, it's PvP's turn.

While this MMO is successful they need to look at Counter-Strike when it comes to PvP. That game is hands down the most successful PvP game ever made in this case, FPS game, but it is PvP in a nutshell. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) expands upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 19 years ago. CS: GO features new maps, characters, weapons, and game modes, and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust2, etc.).

If people play Warzones for the fighting, then clearly the proposed format (including the 100 kills to win a round // win three rounds requirement) meets that wish (although see below for a caveat to that). I suspect that a lot of people (not everyone, for sure) are playing at least in part to complete matches, and the proposed format is in direct conflict with that, so those people will uncheck it consistently.

It's completely ok to uncheck it if u don't like it. That's exactly how I am with huttball and arena. This quality of life improvement of the game for PvP is very much needed. Even though it seems it would lessen queues as a whole. It would essentially make the matches as a whole better as u would have people that actually like those type of matches as opposed to what it does now where it just filters everyone in to mixed matches with no personal choice of which 1 u get into. They need to copy the exact format of how Flashpoints are handled with how u can personally choose specific missions in Flashpoints. They need that for PvP Big time.

I also suspect your estimate of 20 minutes is on the short side, and that such a match between well-matched teams could easily exceed an hour, maybe even two hours in extreme cases, in which case real-world factors (network glitches, people coming to the door or calling on the phone, calls of nature, dinner time, etc.) start to become bothersome. It might even be better to just take your sixteen people to the PvP instance of a shared planet and go to it, so that people can trivially drop in and drop out as needed.

Think Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in this case #1 PVP King. If that match really can exceed that long they can put a 30 minute cap on a round so PvPers can finally have intense matches they always wanted from a 250,000,000+ dollar game.

Players are tired of guarding a node, some players want to kill other players straight up without having to worry about some objective. Team Deathmatch is NEEDED for this game. The format is right there in Galactic Starfighter and the format is right there in Flashpoints they just need to ADD it to PvP. Ground PvP currently has the most underdeveloped format in this game. It's pretty bad to say this games been out for 9 years and they don't even have filters for it outside of unranked and ranked. and ranked is only arena (lol)

As I said, it's not a bad format, but the numbers are too high for it to be viable as a Warzone format. I think 20 kills per round for best-two-of-three would strike a better balance. At that level, it would probably be *insanely* popular(1), so the "rush" of continuing would be there because it would pop consistently quickly.

Numbers are fine from a hardcore pvper standpoint ive been playing pvp games for 20 years now. The format is fine, every hardcore PvPer would agree with me. This game needs more Hardcore PvP outside of something like Ranked arena that I dont even queue for because I dont like the format of it in this case compared to something like 8vs8 objective or 8vs8 team deatmatch what this game still needs with [x] check boxes like Flashpoints. Devs need to see this Thread really badly and add feedback. Big. Time.

    (1) Heck, *I* would play it at that level, while at 100 kills per round, I would not, even if there was only one round.

OK I know this post is old but it's a constructive bump to a constructive thread and that is allowed in the rules so I finally added when I got back. + I will start debating with you guys regarding the PvP improvements I want the devs to add really. really. badly. So I will be doing constructive bumps on this thread periodically to see if the devs of this game ever take note of it and put in checkboxes atleast for warzones and possibly adding in team deathmatch for ground warzones.

Thank you for the constructive feedback. Please future posts constructive feedback only please like the above poster. <3

  8. How about when the devs get more manpower going again they redo the whole game like eternal throne where u can repeat class and game expansion stories on story, veteran, master difficulties with checkpoints like eternal throne this would be way badazz given how much story content is in this game and way badazz with friends. so u can choose which parts of the game to play with friends this repeatable content would be way epic and is way past due.

Thoughts? please no one shoot this down constructive feedback only please, this game is epic just think about it, even put some deep thought into it this would be epic especially since this game has so much content it would directly upgrade the gameplay with no downsides it will just take some manpower like making an expansion, devs should seriously commit to this so content thats added to the game doesnt get pushed aside after like 1 playthrough this framework for the game would be badazz it looks great on eternal throne they just need to expand it to the rest of the expansions and class story content so they can be repeatable like heroics flashpoints, warzones, etc.

  9. Yes seperate queues!

Huttball needs to have a solo unranked and a group ranked (league) mode

8v8 deathmatch should be most kills in 10 minutes.

8v8 Ilum style walker escort warzone would also be cool.

Capture the flag pvp 8v8 (I've seen something that there was a scenario planned during RotHC but it got scrapped)

Instanced Battle Royale pvp mode, I know everyone hates BR but it is a really popular game mode and could be fun.

^ yeah something like that! there needs to be seperate queues like how they have in flashpoints and new modes its way past due. thank you for the constructive input!

  10. Alot of posts didnt think this would happen which is ok your opinion is perfectly valid however if this idea did happen which is why i presented it it would be far superior to what this game has in terms of dyes in general just check out razer synapse for your razer mouse if u dont understand thats a good example of what this game needs in terms of an UPGRADE as this game upgrades content all the time an upgrade for dyes is way past due.

thank you everyone for the input i do hope the devs do improve the dye system so people can get exactly the color scheme they want. as of the current dye system this is not possible.

    thank you.

  11. On the character Outfit Designer tab like a Razer Mouse in the Razer Synapse program :):p

I think thats a pretty good idea. Then everyone would be able to have the exact color scheme they want for their outfits.

and put in weapon designer too where u can choose a different model for your weapon like outfit designer.

    Way past due.

    Have a nice night!:rak_03:

  12. OK how about a Weapon Designer to go along with the Outfit Designer?

Basically to alter the appearance of your weapon. So for example I could use a weapon appearance I like but have the highest stats with said weapon since it will use the appearance of the weapon I chose for the Weapon I use in the Weapon slot in the character sheet window with the implants and relics, outfits, weapons, secondary weapon slot, etc.

Like how you can have high stat outfits then use the outfit designer to customize the appearance of it. Basically add one for Weapons.

    Thank you.

  13. I think the specific numbers are a bit high, since that makes it "best three of five" at up to 199 kills per round (meaning you'd be stuck in there, potentially, until almost a thousand kills were racked up), and the matches would be ... long ... as a result. That said, it's not a bad format.

There's an unanswerable debate around that, since it would also do odd things to the dynamics of queueing in "slow" times, and those times are already liable to PvP not popping.

Huttball maps *are* 8vs8 Objective Warzones. Again, this would have the effect of fragmenting the queues and lengthening pop times.

I fully understand where you are coming from but mean absolutely 0 offense with this but this mentality is why the queues for pvp are still terrible as it is where u just get random garbage warzones u dont even care for im sorry but they need to make it like flashpoints where u can queue for specific warzones or types of warzones altogether its long overdue this game really needs a quality of life improvement update to it since its going on 9 years old and this format has been around since the games launch except arena which is a new addition to warzones and a few 8vs8 maps. but my point is this is needed as with a netcode update they pushed out so many +3% to this ability and -3% to this ability it ****ed the netcode up to where anything that runs fast or has a leap in the air animation and runs around has a teleporting effect on it, i will record a video of this happening when im getting like 70 - 90ms ping in the game and get 40 - 60 - 80+ FPS throughout the poor optimization of the games engine as a whole on a Geforce RTX 2080 Super on G-SYNC Monitor 240 HZ

Also its because most 8vs8 warzones matches are too short they last like 5 - 10 minutes tops. my team deathmatch suggestion eliminates that problem where players like me can kill ridiculously long time like an FPS game server for 15 - 20+ minutes is nothing check this mod i made out of l4d2 campaign its a mod that makes l4d2 ai director more intense for players and exhilerating experience for pros of FPS by increasing the responsiveness of the SI and speed of them to better handle experienced players of the l4d2 game in general and FPS games as a whole.

Demonstration of how to make a game go from boring to fast paced action.

my point is the devs need to make pvp matches last longer atleast 20 minutes so they can actually be fun and fuel the adrenaline/ragedrive, add in team deathmatch, put in checkbox queues for types of warzones u queue for like arena huttball and 8vs8 objective and 8vs8 deathmatch

    1. Activity Queues (Flashpoints, Operations, Starfighter etc.) need to be cross server, you shouldn't be punished for playing on a lower pop server when it comes to this. This is all instanced content that is likely hosted on a different server already, why is it limited to the server you play on? It should at least be cross-queued with everyone in your region. WoW even has it so that you can do cross-ops (raids) for everything but the very highest level of difficulty.

    • Combat Proficiency's (Specifications, damage dealer vs healer etc) need to remember not only your Utility Point allocation but also your where you abilities are placed on your bars so that a healer can easily do other content without having to worry about getting everything back in it's place. It feels like healers are punished with the way it is currently implemented.

These are QoL improvements that any modern MMO would have.

I agree with this on a more modern note outside of MMO gaming, every last First Person Shooter (FPS) which ive been playing for 20 years now has a server select option so u can always go to a higher population server and keep all your crap. cross-play like you said would be perfect and i know every over dev there working on SWTOR is a smart guy it would just take time to implement but i know they can do it with the money they make off this game and how the cartel market always has something new.

Also to take cross-play a step further since an engineer can easily do this make it so your character is persistent and not locked onto a server so its like an FPS game database. example i load up SWTOR i choose my character, i select the server i want to play on, US East, US West, South America, Asia, etc. with whatever character i like and i can choose any server i like and play with anyone i like on pvp or pve group zones.

Please constructive feedback only this guy has the right idea with crossplay this game can only get better its been around for almost 9 years quality of life improvements are what this game needs instead of the devs working on it going to the next story content update every time or doing the update with the +3% increase to class ability or -3% to this class ability for example this game needs quality of life improvements not crap like that all the time honestly devs please get some engineers on the task for quality of life improvements like this and this http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=983782

    Thank you!
