  1. . It's your $15 a month, after all, you can play the game however want

Then why are you moaning about them queuing up together for regs? "SORRY guys, we aren't allowed to queue 4s for regs because some JagOff is paying all our 15 dollar subs and decides what we should be doing with our playtime". GG sitdown.

  2. Why u no Mara! Come to darksideeeeee!

In all seriousness, a really great guy and a solid raider. You will not be disappointed by him. Erexion going in!

    - Ax

ps: say hi to my Disco ball :p

<3 ax. I will make a mara just for you! Now what to name him...... :D

  3. As the title states, I'm looking for a group that is working on or starting NIM DP progression.

I am currently 4/5 NIM DF and have a few pieces from there but have not spent much time in NIM DP as a dps yet.

I am not looking to leave my guild as I am pretty happy there and I do run a group on my shadow tank in the guild.

I am free pretty much any night except for Wednesday and Sunday nights because that is when I raid with my guild and unfortunately these nights are not able to be changed.

    Ops dummy parse:

    Ops dummy: 4128 DPS

Some sample parses from NIM DF:

These aren't the best numbers I've ever pulled on these bosses but I feel they are adequate (all are in Watchman spec)

    Nefra: 3988 DPS

    Draxus: 3127 DPS

    Grob: 4171 DPS

    Zero: 3407 DPS

If you have any questions feel free to PM me here or hit me up in game on either Bunions or Erexion.

  4. I think it really depends on your group composition because a very well played watchman sent can be easily viable and competitive for every single NiM fight. However, if your group lacks burst or AoE damage then being able to respec can make you a huge asset.

To give an example......I have pulled 4300 DPS on the post-nerf NiM Grob'thok as a watchman sent however obviously the majority of my DPS is coming from hitting the boss. In focus spec you could pull the same numbers but would be doing more damage to the adds. If adds overwhelming the raid was the problem then the focus sentinel wins even though they were pulling the exact same total DPS.

  5. I'd have to agree with your post here....

    1. Dedication - It must hurt you to get crushed and humiliated in every warzone you play in and yet you keep on queuing up. I admire your dedication.

    2. Pain tolerance - As a sorc, I've seen you get blown up in 2 GCDs and yet you still have not whined or cried about it in /say.

    3. Forseeing future events - I can imagine that it is hard knowing that you are probably going to lose any warzone that you step foot in, but you seem to make the best of it anyway and accept the beat down that comes your way.

You are a true testament to our PVP community :D

  6. Nah I dont really even care about the rating anymore. I don't get q pops as tank anymore therefore will never catch up to the top 3 overall guardians/juggernauts. I don't even get 3 matches in a 3 hour span. I was just proving it to him that the elo system is working as intended and just like you I only put my rating in there the further prove my argument. I don't care if my rating is lower than yours. You also get 5X's more q pops than me and so does every other dps. I don't need yolo q rating to know I'm a good player. Btw the elo system is not flawed it is the matchmaking system that is flawed.

Eh I really don't get 5x more pops than you would. I generally sit in solo ranked queue for about 30 mins (on average) before I get a pop, even at peak hours and this is as a DPS. After 30 mins I'll finally get into a match with lower rated players and if I don't win (regardless of who is on my team), it seems like I'll lose 16 rating since it's all lower rated players. Yes matchmaking is screwed up but the elo system is as well. At the start of season 2 I used to get pops all the time, now it's completely different. Either because my rating is much higher now or because ranked is dying off, or maybe it's a bit of both.

  7. Do what they did with NiM TFB, make the PTS fight easy. People can test out the mechanics and sort out the bugs/exploits. Then when it come live, buff the damage, HP etc.

You get to test the content this way without really affecting progression on live.

I don't really see this as a good example because when NIM TFB came out, many of the "top tier" raiders were complaining about how DG was "mathematically impossible" and thus resulted in two nerfs of the fight. These days, with people unable to skip content in NIM by dropping down to HM, this would create a bottleneck that people would probably quit the game over. SWTOR has never been a great game for end-game raiding and it never will be. Surprised people haven't figured that out by now.

  8. Solow changed his name to akiva. Check it he is number 2. Like fusebox said it is not the ladder system that is wrong, but the matchmaking. You say it's not serious business, but isn't the reason why you posted on the forums because YOU CAN'T GET OUT OF ELO HELL. Don't put this on other people and then say it's not important. You brought it up bro.

I don't really necessarily agree with tangtop's view of how the elo system should be changed, but I found it kind of hilarious how you tried to turn this into a flame war. Who cares what his rating is, he was just trying to start a discussion about the elo system which is a clearly flawed system. Not sure why you are trying to turn this into an e-peen contest when the original poster was not trying to attack anyone. And yes I have a better rating than you, before you try to use that as an argument against me ;)

*edit* realized that you would probably want to look me up to verify that information and I don't have a signature. So my sentinel is Erexion and I have seen you in matches before on your tank.

  9. <PurpleParallel> republic guild killed up through Corruptor zero.

Didn't get any screenshots during the operations but we have the videos and I'll post screenshots here of time of kills from my achievements. I'm mountain time so 1 hour ahead of PST.

As you can see in the Nefra / drax video that the only "non-guildie" we had was the scoundrel healer Ynah. However, recently her guild was absorbed into ours and in the corruptor zero video you can see she now has a PurpleParallel tag.

  10. Calph has always hit pretty hard, especially on shadow tanks. The best advice I can give is that you should always pop a CD when tanking him outside the portal phases. You shouldn't ever need a CD when tanking inside the portal phases (except for the very last phase when you are dropping the relic on him).

Before I was min/maxxed in DF gear I would always pop a CD when tanking him on my shadow tank. Even when I got to full DF gear, I played around with not using a CD while tanking him and occasionally the damage would be spikey enough that I would still need to.

As far as there being a bug, I can't really comment on that since I haven't tanked HM DP in probably a month or so. I would assume this is not the case since groups still clear HM DP on a weekly basis even with shadow tanks. If you are already popping CDs while tanking Calph then it sounds like your group has a healing problem.

  11. Hey there,

It sounds like you are looking for a guild that does a lot of good PVE and PVP. <PurpleParallel> might be a good fit for you. We are currently fielding two nightmare progression groups that are full however we also run weekly 16m HM DF and DP that are open to all guildies. Since you are in 168 gear it sounds like the next logical step for you would be HM DF / DP runs. We also a guild that loves to PVP and have many players queuing for reg pvp during the day and on off-raid nights we are usually queuing in full groups and sometimes op group double-queues. I personally run a lot of ranked on my sentinel (erexion) and have full brut on him!

If you have anymore questions feel free to whisper me in-game on either of my main toons: Erexion / Bunions. or can PM me here.
