  1. Indeed, being scaled down to a given planet's level is something for us lowly plebs, but it's certainly not befitting a gaming legend like yourself.

So I'd like BW to take one step further and leave the downscaling as it is for all but SirCopperfield.

Surely someone as august as SirCopperfield deserves something even more special. I feel like SirCopperfield should be scaled down to the level of the planet *and* to provide a challenge, I feel like the mobs on each planet should be scaled to 65 when he's there. Really such a daunting challenge for the rest of us would be a mere trifling fancy for SirCopperfield.

  2. on the phone they said you ONLY get those coins IF!!! you actually MANUALLY enabled, that you want to get all the updates and promotions about swtor in your account on their website. so if you did not have those boxes checked you will NOT get coins. that's what they told me. It was a spontanous Valentines Day promotion gift that was not planned upfront and has not been pronounced on long term. as said..spontanous..so if you disabled the email function for infos news and promotion.. or never enabled this.. you are NOT going to get any coins.

if you had that checked you might have a chance / should have gotten it.

I went into my account settings during the livestream and checked the 2 boxes (middle one was already checked) that were unchecked, saved my settings, and received no email in any of my folders. Should have gotten it is not acceptable, since I fulfilled the maximum requirement I could given the instructions during the livestream. Will get it would be acceptable, but a CS fail like this will drive so many people away if they just shrug off the people who should have received a code and got nothing instead.

  3. No, it's not random advice...it was advice from my own experience.

I didn't know my code had arrived until I saw people complaining they didn't get it here today...I checked my inbox - nothing. Checked my spam - nothing. Checked my ALL mail - boom! Got it.

Maybe you're right though...maybe there is a real issue with people not getting it. For them, I hope they get it resolved. As for the other guy, yeah, he was bit harsh, but I think he may be right that everyone was sent the code...I think it may be a bigger issue with email rejecting it, which is being brought to light by threads like this. I just don't think there's any reason to be rude when someone is trying to help you.

He, and you if you believe everyone was sent the code, was wrong. Most people who are still in this thread checked every part of their email, many even checked whether the IP address sending the emails made a connection with their email provider. The email didn't go out to everyone. The people who haven't found it because they didn't look properly are few and far between, and can find that information easily in at least 15 different places on this forum, dulfy, etc.

It's rude to "try to help" in a way that makes people seem like they're to blame when you should be staying out of the thread so that the legitimate issue is properly seen as a legitimate issue. There are people who have NOT received an email. This is a fact.

  4. He was trying to help you...no need to be rude.

No, he was literally saying that people with this issue are liars or stupid and have not checked properly for the email. It was old after the first 50 times people said "check your spam folder n00b". Whether or not my response was measured is debatable, but repeating the same advice as is in literally all of the threads about this issue is unwarranted and claiming that nobody has the problem because you don't have it is ignorant and condescending.

  5. I expect all of you received the email. The code is towards the bottom of the last chapter 10 advertisement they sent.

Yes, because none of us have read any of the threads concerning this issue, so we aren't aware of exactly what email it arrives with. Please don't post in a serious thread with crap like this that ignores everything stated in the thread. Yes, there are people who are dumb and didn't look properly. There are also many people who HAVE NOT recieved ANY email from bioware since the last CC grant email. My last email of any sort from bioware was Feb. 1.

I have no emails whatsoever in my trash folder, i check my spam folder daily, and it does not show up in any other folders or in search.

  6. Conquest post 4.0 illustrates that the loudest voices will win in the end, but I feel like i need to say this, because nobody else is.

Guilds are supposed to exist for people with similar goals to join together to accomplish something fun. With 4.0 you made it so that only the 500 man, super impersonal guilds can compete in conquest under any circumstances. Now you want to double the guild member limit?

Why punish small guilds for staying small? Why not let people do full conquest goals on more than one character, rather than restricting all the non-pvp goals to once a week? Let small guilds do great things again! Stop giving super preferential treatment to the big guilds where nobody knows more than 5 or 10 other people!

  7. It's as simple as this. They call it an "exploit". It's not an "exploit". It's a computer programmer's coding error. Punishing someone because they are smart enough to discover it and use it is, in fact, punishing the wrong person. They are playing a game, and part of playing a game is finding the best ways to win or advance. If you caused a coding error that they can use as a "cheat", good for them. The only people who should be punished for using this exploit should be gold sellers, because they aren't playing a game, but are actually stealing from the company (by causing players to more easily reach the end game content, get bored, and unsub). But they should be punished anyway (but really aren't). As for legitimate paying players, what you should do is high five them for being intelligent enough to figure it out, do a quick coding fix and implement it (instead of hiding in wait like a spy and treating your paying players like criminals, potentially causing them to leave the game whether you permaban them or not), and then move on.

If something is obviously not working as intended, i.e. buying a stack of items and vendoring one of them back for the price of the stack, it's an exploit. Period. End of discussion.

  8. A friend of mine has been stuck on chapter 8 of the story for 20 days. Today he got a ticket response that was 3 weeks overdue, telling him to "try resetting the mission" oh so helpful. We've exhausted every possible attempt to fix the mission. He cannot reset or abandon because it's a main story mission that's partway completed. His play button is not showing up in the mission log. He tried relogging of course, getting summoned into someone else's phase, getting summoned and waiting for them to leave so he'd get his own phase, traveling to any places he could access (obviously he can't physically travel to asylum... for whatever reason) and finally gave up until they fix the bug.

There are other similar bugs on the Zakuul stages that can be fixed by physical travel. This cannot. FIX IT NOW OR RESET PEOPLE'S QUESTS WHEN THEY ASK YOU TO. FORM LETTERS ARE NOT SUFFICIENT, SINCE YOU OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T EVEN READ TO COMPREHEND HIS SITUATION. 20 DAYS TO RESPOND TO A TICKET ABOUT A GAME-BREAKING BUG IS TOO LONG.

  9. Lol. Why solo a flashpoint that is designed to be group content?

Apparently it is too hard for some to do solo in 208, so there is one option. The other option is, dare I say it, to actually group up,

If you read what Musco said 2 days ago, the number next to heroic includes companions, so a Heroic 2+ is supposed to be soloable.

  10. Er, the post I made earlier I was in 208 gear and still gearing five slots...and in the successful solo run through I did I nabbed another 208 for my wrists. L16 companion. Its doable...at least for a tank. Might not be for dps with the same loadout, I can't speak to that.

DPS who don't have better than 208 gear get screwed. Heal and dps comps are so bad that it's a challenge to kill even a single zakuul knight. Doing the trash with full specialist buffs is more tedious than pre nerf with no buffs. Nobody will be getting one for all ever again.

I could probably clear the instance, but at the rate of an hour+ for 4 common crystals, I'll pass. Yet another clear lack of foresight from BW/EA.

  11. A heroic mission designed for a team of 2 players is no longer soloable? Say it isn't so!

Heroic 2+ means it's soloable with companion (companion counts as one of the 2+) according to Musco. So yes, it's a huge problem. Especially when there's an achievement for soloing it sans buffs/unlocks and it's harder now *with* buffs than it was before without. Companion nerf is WAY too harsh. my healer comp used to keep me up through 2 golds and 5 silvers. Now they can't heal me through a single gold mob. This is completely outrageous and basically ruins alts in the new content.

  12. I have yet to find a tactical that isn't easier than the corresponding HM. Yes, 4 dps need to work harder at it, but it's definitely doable. If you can't kill a single trash group with 4 dps, you aren't CCing properly. Bosses require you to use med stations an average of once every 10 seconds. That's why there are always 3 of them. Play smart, not fast, and tacticals are easy to do with 4 dps.
  13. Juggernaut 65

I had not started any part of the new content prior to today on this character. I tried resetting and it didn't help. Other people in the same area were able to complete the quest, so it's not broken for everyone in the phase.

  14. It has gone from ridiculously easy to get multiple characters capped and farming millions of points a week to being almost impossible to cap more than one character without spending hours per day on each one you want to cap. If you happen to get a bad flashpoint for your tactical, it can take hours to pull a bad group through for only 2000 points. If you try to do ops, once again it can take hours to get only a couple thousand points.

At this point the only people who have a reasonable time capping multiple characters in a week are pvpers. I don't think it would be unreasonable to let us have the weekly crafting goals be limited to one per character instead of one per legacy. That way those of us that like to spend time doing activities that gain us crafting materials won't be out in the cold because we don't happen to enjoy pvp. Please stop favoring only pvp in your conquest goals!
