  1. When we looked at Season 1, we considered a few key elements; activity patterns we saw in player week to week Conquest participation, where there was opportunity to increase engagement, ensuring that Daily and Weekly Priority Objectives fell into a certain time-to-complete range, and ensuring that no matter which objective you had it was relevant to what you are able to actually participate in.

By keeping this initial list of Priority Objectives a little more trimmed down and focused, we could ensure that players met all of these key elements. As we move into future Seasons we will be building further upon this foundation.

I don’t do things that I can’t solo. It would be nice if you had more options for soloable content along with the ability to refresh more times. There is so much content in this game, but yet you only found a handful of solo activities we can do each week? That makes no sense to me.

Starfighter sucks and makes me nauseous every time I try it. PVP is a no-go for me. I don’t know how to do it. I have tried it once… maybe twice… not for me… and operations are usually too hard for me, even on good gear with physical limitations that I have in the real world.

I ended up spending a lot of my monthly coins to make up for some of what I lost. That really sucks because it would be nice not to have to spend extra coins to make up for what I missed. More soloable options would be nice for both Weekly and Daily PO's. ((For clarity, soloable means non-PVP, non-starfighter, and non-operations/veteran Flashpoints, et al))

  2. The only thing about GS that is annoying me is the starfighter and forced pvp stuff. I don't pvp. I really don't know how to pvp (if I'm being honest there) and I don't think it's fair to those who enjoy it to deal with me joining in to fulfill a seasons objective. Galactic Starfighter would be interesting if it didn't make me seasick when I try it!

What I would like to see is some additional solo choices added to the list. Or the ability to choose between "solo" vs "pvp" and then get a list of options. I also don't do operations. First, I don't have a lot of time to do them and we're a really small guild of friends so not enough people to do them. Having been playing this game since 2011, I know that there are more weekly options out there than pvp, operations, or hard mode flashpoints. What about adding "complete the weekly for such and such planet"... those take forever to do sometimes depending on how much time you have... I'm getting in some of what I can but really, the system is starting to become boring with the same objectives popping up daily.

  3. I like the filtering but I'm like others, I don't want to see that window every time I open up my Character window. Filtering it out is nice. Even setting the quality is nice as well. The cost of the gold is stupid. Literally, I have no other word for it. I'm not paying 400,000 credits or more for that...not when it sometimes takes three or four or more rolls to get the stat you want. I'm not sure what the devs are thinking with some of this, but come on...That's expensive for an item that resets every week...
  4. It was okay up to the final boss fight. I couldn't get past it. Like others, he would recharge his health when he got to around 25%. The fight slogged on for almost an hour before I finally just jumped to my death. I don't know if that's a bug or not but it was very frustrating... also the adds part was frustrating. I'll try again next week.
  5. Hey all,

This is intentional as the Swoop Conquest specifically covers the 3 planets that are a part of the Swoop event. That said, we understand the concern from Small Guilds around not having a small yield planet to target, the team is looking at options for the future!

Dunno why it matters that these planets are in the swoop event...

  6. I just finished the Makeb Staged Weekly for Conquest and didn't receive the points. I did all six quests with the Weekly quest mission, but nothing. I have no screenshots. I'm assuming it wants me to go talk to the droid on the station but the droid is no longer there so this Conquest can't be completed.
  7. But then there are elitist who vote to kick a newbie just for admitting (s)he's new to the OPS/game :( Or players who are here from the beginning and they know their stuff!!!@#! :D And others who have fingers in their ears and doing "nanananananana BATMAN! nanananana" :D

When I first started playing this game, I was kicked from my first FP for saying I was new and didn't know how to "heal" in a group. I had always played by sending my companion in to be fodder while burning down the npc...that doesn't work in a FP, but I didn't know that. I won't randomly group with anyone now because of that experience. Now if I can't solo it or find a group of my gaming friends to do it with, I won't do it. Simple as that. If people had a little more patience it would be better. Not every player does FP's on a daily basis and some of us take several months breaks at times.

As per the OP: I was away from the game for several months and when I came back, everything was changed. How things worked, what to do, rotations...all of it, including gear. AND then on top of that once you hit 60 and start KoTFE, they take away your abilities and you have to "earn" them back through the first chapter, which royally messes everything up. This isn't even talking about gear yet. The new mods are green, not blue or purple, which really sucks. I'm still figuring out the new stuff after months of not playing. But threads like this is why I don't even bother grouping or using the group finder to get better gear. It's a waste of time and usually end up being judged and rushed through the experience. js

  8. I didnt see the Dev stream on 5.0 and i haven't found anything so far about the crafting for 5.0 but i'm assuming, That Augments and Kits are going to have a new level as well as the rest of the crew skills.

Can anyone confirm this or point to a link that talks about it?

I saw in the threadon crafting they said there would be MK-10 augment kits and so on.

There will be a new level of augments, MK-10, which will be taught by a trainer.

My biggest concern was whether or not my materials I've been collecting are going to be any good or not. Hope this helps and answers your question.

  9. Hi all -

I have an older Sith Inquisitor I am trying to level again with all the changes, its been years.

I have all my companions on my ship including, Andronikos, Ashara, Khem Val.

I am level 48 and at the "Into the Assassin Temple" part on Hoth where I need Talos Drellik to open the door.

Yet I do not have Talos with me, he isn't on my ship, I can't summon him... I have no idea how to get him back with me in order to complete my story.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated..

    Thanks!

Are you trying to summon him from the right window? They've changed how players summon their companions with the last expasion. The old way is now just crew skills. There should be a "fist" icon somewhere on the same bar. There you can summon the companion. I would do a screenshot for you, but I'm not sure how to do that in the forums. :D Hope this helps you...

  10. Yes it is.

    Harassment Policy

Harassment consists of misuse and/or abuse of game mechanics and verbal harassment with the intention of distressing and offending other players. Game mechanics allow players to interact with the world and each other. For example, the ability to block a doorway is a game mechanic. Use of game mechanics like these is by no means considered harassment in and of itself. The key to determining whether the mechanic is being misused or abused is to determine "intent." Reported incidents are not considered harassment until it is determined by the SWTOR CS that it was done to intentionally to cause distress or to offend other players.

Well said...I'm one of those "carebear" players. I hate pvp with a passion. Before I was geared up enough for it, I was ganked all the time for trying to help someone or clicking on the wrong thing. It's a stupid waste of time for people to try to "trick' an obvious pve player into pvp because they don't have the cojones to queque up for pvp in a war zone or go to Outlaws Den. Or even better, roll on a PvP server where they can get their pvp jollies off every day in a legit way. No that would be too easy. Instead, they have to be jerks about it, force flag a player who is obviously not flagged for pvp and not a pvp player, in order to get their "marks." I hope one day, BW figures out a way to fix the force flag issue.

  11. This is really nothing more than "qq cry all you want" post so if you don't have the interest of your time being wasted... yeah.

I'm a returnee so to speak. I've not actively been playing the game since before the Hutt expansion, and with the Revan expansion on the way with the 12x EXP bonus I thought to return to the game to try out the latest content.

But the reception I've found from the community thus far is just horrible. I've gotten a character up to level 55, geared it up as best as I could with a few creds and the Oricon storyline. But when I queue'd up for Tactical Flashpoints and level 55 Hard Modes, I've met with nothing but unpleasantries.

A few flashpoints have gone silently smooth, but most of those I've done has had at least one unpleasant individual.

I've been called undergeared with insinuations of being worthless, degraded just because I asked if I could need on gear for my companion and outright harrassed just because I didn't know to run to a medstation straight away.

It is genuinely upsetting to meet such people that seem to have lost their understanding and toleration towards "noobs" with their 180 rated gear and each encounter sours my general experience.

I've met my fair share of a:eek:holes back when I played before the expansions, but the frequency I've now faced has been overwhelming and has really put me off of the thought on queueing back up.

You're right. There are a lot of jerks in this game now, most of them have forgotten what it's like to be new to something or have no patience to stop and talk to someone rather than judging them as lacking and then become rude about it. I'll only do Ops and FPS with my guild for this reason. If you have a guild, maybe you guys can set up a weekly thing where you all go through the HM's for special gear for you. That's what my guild did for me. We all went in on Sages and then again on our Scoundrels so that I could gear up. It wasn't easy but they were all patient with me since I hadn't done HMs before. When I was out of game for awhile, they helped me relearn how to play. It wasn't easy, but they got it. They are even understanding with my lack of jumping skills. (I'm not very good at jumping over things. I tend to get stuck). Anyway, if you have a guild, try gathering some friends from the guild to go through the HMs...they tend to be more understanding, less elitist and more polite. Good luck.

  12. I don't do group fps anymore because of what you describe. I was ejected as healer from a group once because I couldn't keep up with the heals when the little terds kept running into mobs too far apart and used up all of my resources. I haven't done a fps from group finder since. I'll only do fps with people I know and who know my playing style. They wait between mobs and heal up. Makes it easier to do the fps.
  13. If someone hasn't read the "Press release," they would think the same as the OP did or be very confused. This link IMPLIES that the stronghold would be released today even though the same page says there's a "new" release date, while at the same time implying that the stronghold for subs were still being released today. The "press release" is clearer, but if you hadn't read it and only saw the page (pasted below), you would be as confused as the OP.

  14. The one-shot laser only hits in front of him. Dirose is it possible that you're lagging on this fight?

It could be...All I know is, I get him down to a little less than half way and then he gets me. My companion goes down and then I do. It's very frustrating. I need help finishing this quest, but none of my guild members are online much lately. He has that slowing ability too. I moved a little behind him and to the side of him inside his "personal space" where there were no red circles and still get hit by those bloody beams.
