  1. Right, when you guys announced SWTOR, what did you promote? Oh yeah.. ROLE PLAY! So please, help your Role Playing community along. One very very very simple alteration could be done to enhance the world for Roleplayers.

    Idea:

Areas which are class quest, or even world quest phases, but not repeatable quests, can be accessed after the quest is done. BUT, it does not have -ANY- NPCs inside of it.

If the zone is not part of the character's class, they can still access it, but it wouldn't be in storyline phases.

This would mean RP guilds or even cross guild groups can enter private phases and use them as bases, or even a storyline thing within their guild. (Like attacking a base, but using dice systems to battle non-existent mobs). And that separate groups can use the same area for different things.

    /agree

    This would be awesome.

  2. I have seen a lot of new people rolling characters on The Progenitor with names and attitudes that have nothing to do with the environment of a roleplaying server.

Please remember that this is a RP-PVE server, and consider another server if this is not your preferred play style.

I have only recently started RPing, but Ive always picked RP-PVE servers on WoW and the like because, at least in WoW, the 12 year olds and the ******* with names like "ZoooomgIpwnXXXX" tend to stay away from RP servers.

I think the SW TOR team needs to enforce the RP friendly enviroment in some ways, starting with timed bans on f2p players who deliberately ruin RP for people and act very disrespectful to RPers.

For example: If 5+ people are RPing in a cantina, MAYBE you shouldnt start running your damn speeder back and forth right through them? Behavior like that is extremely disrespectful and should, in my opinion, be dealt with my the GM's as this is an RP server.

Before I report people for their name I am always sure to talk to them before hand. So they understand why I report one of them. I got a huge ticket list already, and many have been handled. I've been recieving private messages in which they either thank me or insult me.

Yeah one should always contact suspicious names before reporting. I RPed with a guy the other day, and it wasnt until he told me his character was gay I realized his Legacy name was "Laidanus" (If you dont get it, read it again and think male gay character). I brought this up and commented how funny it was after I'd stopped laughing. Turned out it was completely unintentional and the name was just taken from a Roman general.

  3. When will you fix bugs? I have just been leveling and doing some low level flashpoints(mid 20s) and what the hell? This game is extremely buggy in some areas of the game and some instances, yet smooth as a baby's butt in other. What I would like to know is why it is so uneven? Most games are just buggy period. But this one is sometimes buggy sometimes not, and that makes me think you have an excellent team, except one or two members who are completely worthless and nobody have found out who they are yet.

Also AnduuDursty, what the hell are you going on about? "...appreciate the fact that they are FIXING something."?

In every MMO forum there will be a white knight who keeps defending the team/devs/admins, it has always been that way and will always be, yet few are as hilarious as you.

Getting stuff fixed and patches, arent that kind of what those of us who sub actually are paying for? And I do believe a paying customer have a right to address his concerns and ask why nothing is being done about well known and reported buggs?

    P.S

And AnduuDursty, I don't think theyll make you a forum admin or GM just because you white knight for them. It hasnt worked like that since the IRC days in the late 90's.

  4. the closest you could get is getting the formal wear and formal dress from your factions capital and going to a neutral planet (Alderann maybe) as for ring well maybe you could exchange implants or earpieces or gloves its not perfect but its the closest your gonna get. Also you can have the same legacy surname assuming they haven't already been chosen.

So you can chnage your legacy surname once you already have it?

  5. Also, marrying cross faction never works out. She wants to have a family home on Coruscant, you want to the collapse of her government to make way for your tyrannical dictator.

It never works. Get that prenup!

Here is the thing, One of us is Rep faction, the other imp faction, both are evil as **** dark V....

But how could one RP cross faction marriage?

Are there "Wedding rings" to purchase as in WoW?

  6. Those of us who RP can sometimes fall for a member of an opposing faction. Is there an option to formally marry them? As in have them join your legacy as a spouse?

Also, how do you get other players to join your legacy? Me and my best friend is playing alot together, and we thought we could be "bros" in game, and he would get benefits of my much more developed legacy.
