  1. I hope not, really I do, but...I remember back what happened to a lot of the players who chose to exploit the first Illum loot boxes. Just seems to me that it's a safer bet to just not get involved. Since Devs have little communication with us about things we talk about, I'd rather not chance it.

BW is pretty desperate for subscribers, I don't think they'd ban a mass of them for getting to level 50 quickly. Especially with a new expansion that is 50 - 55.

  2. At least make them optional, Bioware. People are losing their paid time by not logging in during the period when they outlevel any content too fast.

    Please.

These threads are pretty ridiculous. Essentially, what I'm getting here is that you're out leveling content too fast. This must mean you're not doing any of the quests for the story/dialogue bits (one of the better/best parts of the game), but for the varied and wonderful "Go here, kill 1/5/20 of these, and pick up 2 of those," quests?

I'll go ahead and respect you're opinion, but now that we've settled this- Why can't you just do the story quests of a planet until you're the right level to move on? You won't be under level then. Ultimately the main problem here is that the vast majority of the playerbase is enjoying double XP, but because a few (albeit, loud) people don't like it, they should end it all? A bit selfish and narrow minded I think.

  3. Actually, they're hiring and they're hiring the type of people who are instrumental fixing issues just like this.

Enough with the doom and gloom already. Sh*t happens. Does it suck if it affects you? Absolutely. I have little doubt they'll fix this soon.

    We'll see.

    (But I hope you're right.)

  4. Yeah this is silly Bioware, there is an old saying...'if it ain't broke...don't fix it'....

What chance do we have of getting anything to work or be fixed if the things that are working already keep getting broken and taking up developer / programmer time to fix them?

This just seems like a silly mistake to be honest, I love this game but please, keep the week 1 trainees away from the servers lol.

What's sad is if they can't fix it without waiting for the next big update. If such a clear and present issue that was previously working fine needs a couple weeks to fix, that's pretty disappointing. I know some people were laid off at BW, but I didn't know it was so many.

  5. I think some of those votes are coming from a place of fan devotion, mostly. Either a specific character that they wish to emulate is of one of these species, or they really enjoy some cultural aspect of that particular near-human (which is interesting, because some of the species being suggested are humans, just with a different culture). But yeah, a lot of them as aesthetically boring (at least to me) and are nearly indistinct from baseline humans, but they remain popular nonetheless because of the background they have.

That would make more sense. From what I've read on your OP, any races the devs release will be pretty distinct(Cathar, Trandos, Jello :D) from what we have now, what with the comments about having very clear negatives and the like that'll set them a part from everyone else.

I would actually be pretty disappointed in BW if they released more near/practically-human, as it would seem lazy to toss on some skin tones/tattoos and call it new.

  6. I find it strange how BW has not mentioned anything at all about the Cathar coming out other than the E8 video and statement from 2012 but I do hope they will release it soon and maybe with 2.0.. who knows ~shrugs

    Probably dropped.
