  1. I'd assume that you need to be subbed to get it on September 7th. Then, once enough people point out that the writeup saod August, they will remedy that.

However, what I think is even more important, why are we supposed to stay subbed after that date? What is the content for October's subscription? Will we even get content in November? It's time to let us know something.

Fallen Empire is over, new content comes with the next expansion 'fall 2016'. Which will hopefully be elaborated upon soon.

*Nudges Bioware for an official response on whether or not I need to be subbed next week for the HK chapter*

  2. So I've been subscribed for the Jan 11 to Aug 1 period that Bioware says you must have been subbed to unlock the bonus chapter, but the fine print on the KotFE page doesn't say if I need to be subscribed on Sept 7 (like you would for a normal chapter at launch) to play it?

So Bioware, do I need to keep my sub up for another month, since it's running out before Sept 7?

Thanks in advance if anyone's heard an official word on this already.

  3. Sub rewards are always going to be relatively meager things (tbh, I was surprised we're apparently getting extra cartel coins this month), because otherwise people who don't sub will whine about being shafted just because they can't afford to be subbed all the time. Besides, subbing already comes with the various benefits from the exp gain, removing credit caps, the cartels, the immediate access to new chapters, WZ access, and probably a few other of the standard perks that I'm forgetting. They can only tack on so much more while still actually making new content for the entire player base.
  4. I understand the reasoning for this, but why have the seemingly randomly chosen methods of acquiring them? It seems unfair that some sets will be easy to acquire via crafting, while others are at the mercy of the random drops from the supply boxes. Hope this will be reconsidered. :|
  5. I've been looting lots of decorations from running Star Fortresses (yay), and stashing them in the bank as I waited to decide if I'd sell them, use them, or donate them to my guild. But lo and behold, it would seem I can't do that, as when i try to sell them or donate them, it would tell me that the item is bound, despite there being nothing saying that it's bound when I mouse over the item.

I did eventually notice that when I looted new ones, it says it will bind permanently after 1 day or so, so maybe it was my fault for skimming at first. But when I try to donate those decorations while the binding warning is still there, items I looted 30 mins ago, it says I can't because the item is bound. When I try to sell it on the GTN, it warns me that I will not be able to sell it to a vendor for the original purchase price. I click yes to proceed anyways, nothing happens.

And on top of all that, there have been some items that I've been able to sell and donate, so I have no idea what's going on here or if any of this is intentional or if I'm stuck with a dozen decorations in my bank that I had wanted to sell or donate. Please help, Bioware?

  6. Now that the Alliance gives a ridiculous number (and presumably likely to grow even bigger) of companions, plus the amount of influence being massively bigger than affection was, it would be really nice if we could have a sort button on the Crew Skills tab, so it would automatically rank what companions I have by their name, or more importantly their influence ranking. That way we easily can find what companions we should be using to get the best results for crafting rather than having to scroll down the list and squint at the tiny influence marker on the Crew Skills tab.

(Also I would pay all the Cartel coins for more hairstyles.)

Otherwise am loving KotFE. Go Bioware. :D

  7. I'd be happy with pretty much any kind of lore about the Eternal Empire and their culture. What kind of rulers are they? What makes them different from the Sith Empire? What's their policy on Force users (This one I'm very curious about, since we only see the Twins)? How do they view the Light and Dark Side (also very curious on this)? How much of the Republic and Empire will they conquer? Are they going to be evil *****s like the Sith or are they smarter? What allowed them to conquer the galaxy so easily, aside from the Republic/Empire being weakened already? What does the Eternal Emperor dude really want? Will major leaders like Saresh and Marr survive? Etc, etc. Literally any lore/background on the new baddies would be super awesome.
  8. Seriously, just more of them pretty please. I hope I'm not the only one considering a character re-customization to go with the expansion's timeskip, but the problem is there aren't too many practical hairstyles for my lady Jedi. She's had the same ponytail since launch and it'd be fantastic if she could get a simple braid or something, but the new hairstyles have all either been too elaborate or too short.

And that's it. Super pumped for the expansion, Bioware. <3

  9. Just wondering if anything's been said about whether or not we'll be able to buy the new Grade 11 mats from the scrap jawas sometime in the future. Obviously it would be very handy, but I suppose Bioware might not want us to be able buy the new rare mats so easily. So has there been any word on whether they'll be added to the vendors at a later date or is it not worth it to stockpile my scrap?
  10. As far as offering alternate animations and visual effects via the Cartel Market is concerned, only time will tell. Your message has been passed onto the team responsible for Cartel Market updates, and if it is possible, then you might see those options appear in the future.

For the record, I for one would happily pay a large amount of Cartel points for new versions of animations.

  11. I go to the login screen on the site and...omg it's U-4T0!

Heheheh. This GM is awesome, it's great to see one humoring us RPers. :D

And now we're playing hide and seek. With a GM. Someone give this guy a raise, Bioware.

I noticed that there's a few select head items that hide your hood, so I would think it wouldn't be that hard to have a hood off option for those robes when there's already models in the game of the robe without the hood. (Then again, what do I know, I'm an English major.)

Also, WTB chat bubbles. It may not seem like a necessity, but after RPing in a crowded cantina, it can be really hard to keep track of the chatspam. Bubbles would help immensely.

  13. In the first expansion of The MMO That Shall Not Be Named, someone who rolled a blood elf the first day they were available beat my already rolled rogue to 60. My rogue was 56. And that was before Blizzard streamlined and then nerfed the heck out 1-60 leveling.

So there's powerlevelers in any game. A lot of things can be done in a 30 hour power gaming session. Of course, they probably skipped all the dialgoue and other stuff that makes TOR great, but kudos to them.
