  1. The Paid Agitator

I wonder if anyone believes in this one, as how many instances have you heard of Gamespot (lulz) being paid off to review a game poorly?

Not only that but it's not like other game devs feel threatened by SWTOR or other MMOs, most are 'struggling' anyways and it really seems like Blizzard can get away with anything.

  2. That Steam thinks they have consumers by the balls like this is either a slap in the consumers' faces, or a sad social commentary.

Yeah Valve is so evil with their 75% off sales and the fact that Valve makes official statements saying they'll make all purchased games available without Steam should Valve ever go out of business. Who do they think they are?!

Seriously you're sounding like some entitled rich guy with this post, Steam is the most consumer friendly game distribution software there is out there. I don't know about you but I'd much rather have Steam than be forced to fork out 60 dollars for every new half-arsed game on the market that offers 8 hours of content.

I don't disagree with you on Bioware not being as much of a money-whore as Blizzard, but come on. You're gonna attack Valve? Really?

  3. Do you honestly think gaming companies would do these trailers if they didn't see a return for the investment? name a company, it does it. And they sure as heck aren't doing it just because they want to give you and me something cool to look at. They bring people in.

To be honest though, they did waste too much money on those cinematics from what I heard, it should've went towards keeping people instead of bringing people.

  4. Almost feels like I make better progress by swapping alts constantly, letting them build a little rested XP before I go back into a levelling rush.

I'd rather just get my smuggler to 55 though...I hate not having a healer at level cap.

Healers and tanks are definitely the easiest to get to level cap to be honest, just stack them with flashpoint xp perks and send them through flashpoints.

Harder if you're a dps because then the queue for flashpoints takes hours.

  5. There were double XP weekends.

No, really? Your reading comprehension is either poor or you're intentionally dismissing anything I say.

Some people skip them by not playing during them. Doesn't matter when the last one was if it happened during the leveling process.

My point was that there wasn't a double xp weekend in a long time, so how can you tell people to play through a double xp weekend when there hasn't been one in months? Are you trying to propose a poor argument or does it really take you a year to level a character?

My point was also this: You're obviously taking a long time to level that character, probably wasting time gathering rested xp and waiting for double xp weekends to pop up so you can outlevel the content. Most of us actually focus on leveling our characters instead of waiting for them to gather a ton of rested xp so we can claim leveling is fast.

And I say there's no way you are lagging as much as you claim.

Everything I've said is truthful, maybe it's time you point out that you intentionally waited for double xp weekends and rested xp to gather up so you can level your alts extremely fast to make this argument. Not everyone is able to experience double xp weekends, and not everyone wants to wait months for one.

Leveling isn't as fast if you don't let your alts sit there for months at a time, just so you know. I leveled the Sith Inquisitor I mentioned without a double xp weekend happening during the process, mind explaining how I 'skipped' that one oh great master of knowledge?

  6. And I honestly don't know how you stay on level, unless you do hardly any side quests and/or skipped all the recent double XP weekends. No guild, I use 25% boosters once in a while, no heroics, no FPs, no Ops, no WZ, no space. Just hit Corellia with my second character, level 49, 50 after doing like 6 quests there (same thing with first character). That said, I don't care about "over leveling" a planet. I haven't done a bonus series since Balmorra (talking Imp side).

I finished Corellia on my Sith Inquisitor recently barely into 49. I finished leveling the rest of the way through flashpoints and then dailies 50-53, and then moved onto Makeb.

I had the 10% guild exp bonus as well as using every single one of my exp boosters in the later levels when xp gains are greater. I started Dromund Kaas at 21 as well. I skipped some of the planet quests (though I did almost every bonus series) but did flashpoints as often as I could.

When this game first came out, xp gains were significantly higher and they have since been reduced. Unless you're constantly taking breaks to save up rested experience and waiting for double xp weekends to roll around, there's no way you can be leveling at the rates you claim.

And we're not 'skipping' double xp weekends, do you even remember when the last one was? You must be taking a long time to level up that character, which explains why you might be leveling so easily, because you have so much rested xp.

  7. If they do it right, I will be quite happy.

By doing it "right", I mean the following:

    • Introducing a new crafting skill.
    • Let that crafting skill build ships, engines, weapons, etc.
    • Contain many ships, both single person fighters and multi-player gunships.
    • Have non-instanced and instanced PVE and PVP elements.
    • Ability to customize each ship chassis with paint kits, weapon effects, etc.
    • Flashpoints and Operations based solely in space.

They have the tools to do this right. They have the know-how to do this right. They've had the time to do this right.

A Battlefront II system is not doing it right. It is an acceptable alternative, but in no way the way it should be done.

    Quote for emphasis.

I don't care if it's added over time or added in one big expansion pack, I want it badly. And ground content should have no effect on your space capabilities.

    Open space areas as well.

  8. Who? Ashara...

Why? Because she's an annoying mealy brat, who is incapable of being a good jedi or a good sith. She is incapable of either, which makes her useless to both.

How I'd kill her? My SI would gladly put a lightsaber through her throat, the next time, she babbles about 'not making her go against her teachings.'

Hello, you're running with a sith now...

Would love the ability to turn her evil, you'd figure that would be a choice. :I

  9. Way to screw over people who bought the security key for 1 hour fleet passes. You go Bioware. Maybe next you can sell raid gear on the cartel market and save us all trouble.

The security key exists as a way to protect your valuable information, nothing else.

The fact that it's sold for next to no profit and you can also get it from a free app is indicative that it isn't a ripoff. It even pays itself off in five months of getting it.

    http://us.blizzard.com/store/search.xml?q=authenticator

Their's costs more and you only get a single pet from it and nothing else, if that makes you happy.

  10. Or smart enough to know they will.

On my server Black/Black was going for 5 million credits on the GTN.

Now you're going to see people selling hundreds of them for less than 1 mil each because the truth is, rich people have the money to waste it in absurd amounts.

The good thing is, it'll be affordable ingame now.

    Still unimaginative dyes, though.

  11. Because I call people out when they made ridiculous statements or have expectations beyond reason? Gotcha. Just wanted to be clear.

No, I made a simple post in this thread that I was disappointed with how the space combat appeared to be. You then posted a multi-paragraph long rant about how I was insulting Bioware (which I never did in that post) and felt I could design a better game (I also never did claim that).

In fact all I stated in my post was that I was displeased that it appeared to be a warzone, and hoped it could be better. When I posted that after you made an angsty rant about how ungrateful I was, you didn't even respond back. You were too infatuated with your morbidly obese trolling habits and whatever ego you still have that you didn't even bother with it.

I simply pointed out that we were asking for free flight for years before release, years. Do you know how long a year is? That isn't a ridiculous expectation, they simply didn't listen until now. I didn't attack them for that, though.

Get a life and grow up.

  12. Not interested. Like I said earlier, the burden of proof lies with the person who is making the claim, not the person questioning it. It is very easy to copy/paste links to individual posts, so if you have examples of MANY people claiming they can design a better game, feel free to post them here. If not, then your claim means nothing.

Just don't bother with him, he's just a troll.

He gets on anyone's case if they even so happen to be mildly disappointed with something, because he's too infatuated with his own ego.

  13. After playing through SI I found it very odd that there was little to no diplomacy involved, and I kind of expected a lot more manipulation of people to establish a power base and win allies. Instead it was just chasing after artifacts and the like the make myself more powerful in that respect.

I mean, wasn't the class modeled after the Emperor? Feels weird when your class can't even corrupt a companion.

That's the only one I have at 55, I'm working on my JK right now and it feels like I'm chasing after WMDs so far.

  14. Ok .. lets talk about what I said about crystals. I specifically stated the black core with the multiple color schemes that come with them looking like nerf bats. IMO they are horrid and look nothing like a traditional lightsaber crystal. I even said as much in the quote you copied.

And I mentioned it was canon, and you said my post displayed a lack of knowledge of what you said earlier in this thread. Which is, survey says... false! Nowhere earlier in this thread did you mention something that combats my argument.

My argument was that the blue, green, red crystal colors are not the only canonical crystal colors. Nowhere in this thread did you say something that disproves me, but that doesn't stop you from acting like a confrontational teenager full of angst towards me. Your argument is the equivalent of "YOU'RE WRONG BECAUSE I SAY SO, HA!"

Let's evaluate what you said: Blue, Green are the only colors for Jedi, Red is the only color for Sith.

Following this logic, the following would be non-canon:

    - The Clone Wars series created by George Lucas

    - The Prequels

    - KOTOR 1 and 2

    - SWG

    - Force Unleashed

    - Various other works

You're also saying that the black core sabers are also non-canon, which would mean the same Clone Wars series by George Lucas is also non-canon.

And I only get confrontational when those like yourself or one other in particular make statements telling me it is Canon .. or the armor in the game is fine ... or that the armor in the game is supposed to look completely different then in Ep 1-6 because of the time frame .. although for Jedi .. It's been stated time and time again that they have basically worn the same attire for thousands of years.

Funny thing here, you recently called me 'lazy' and told me to go back and read your posts when you clearly didn't read mine. Nowhere in here did I stand up for or even mention the armor in the game, I was just pointing out that the other lightsaber colors are canon. Yeah, they are. Deal with it.

You got confrontational because you're acting like an angsty child who can't read or formulate decent arguments to what people say here so you just spaz out like a moron and go off about random topics. My first post towards you was in no way confrontational, but you didn't hesitate to insult me and devalue my perfectly acceptable statements.

You like the armor in this game? Good. I am genuinely happy that you do. But I, along with others are simply not happy with our options for the Jedi class.

Again, we were talking about crystals. How about you actually spend some time in school learning the art of 'reading comprehension' instead of skipping it to make pathetic arguments here.

  15. You Good Sir, obviously haven't read the previous posts I've made referring to the above mentioned. Don't be lazy and make some half witted comment without looking first .. just saying.

How about you don't make an ignorant post like you just did in response to me. You know we were talking about the color crystals, my post was about you talking about the color crystals. What I quoted FROM your post was about color crystals.

I have read the previous posts you made in this thread. If you want me to look outside of this thread, then please do provide me a damn link before you act like P.O.S. know-it-all with an attitude.

You said red, blue, and green crystals are the only canonical crystals in Star Wars, I argued that George Lucas created the Clone Wars series, episodes 1-3, and worked heavily on other assets in the Star Wars franchise that say otherwise. What the Hell are -you- talking about? I have read your previous posts in this thread, nothing you said suggests otherwise.

Arrogant. You were talking about the crystals, I was talking about the crystals in response to you. Don't change the damn subject to make yourself appear smarter than you really are.

I can't wait for your next egotistical response to me that has nothing to do with what I said. Perhaps you're the lazy one.

  16. Because of that, Wookiepedia invented several *levels* of "canon".

I just looked it up, that's sad.

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Canon#Canon_in_the_Holocron_continuity_database

That still puts the animated Clone Wars series high up in canon. It's not like there's any conflicting information about lightsaber colors anyways, the other crystals are rare during the time of the movies.
