  1. You should get the normal Cheevo for killing him, but not the STRIKE TEAM cheivment, which is for pre-Patch 5.9 kill, and to be eligible for the Title and Mount legacy wide.

This seems to be bugged due to the delayed patch.

Sold a kill pre-weekly reset, and that person got all the correct achievements, but saw a few kills today(post reset) and they didnt get it. (only got the normal cheevo, no STRIKE TEAM cheevo)

  2. That said, just to add my view to the misconception that it's somehow "easy to get on PTS" as Freaky and Mac are claiming, multiple guilds (I can think of at least 10) have throughout the year, since Tyth up until now recently on Izax tried to get on to PTS, both English, German and French guilds without success, it's not just Infinitas and Berserk, so lets avoid trying to play it to be "their" fault.

From my experience dealing with musco and co, i seriously find that hard to believe, but not surprised if its true.

  3. Well, given that I am openly offended here I kinda have to answer although "progression" in SW:ToR is as dead as it can be.

Several German guilds, including mine, tried since before the release of Tyth to get their whole team onto the PTS. We wrote several e-mails to Musco and Keith and to the official email address to apply for the PTS. Keep in mind that we continued to do that for every boss and still never got invited. To simply claim that we "didn't try hard enough" is just ridiculous.

Plus this whole withholding videos point is obsolete because some guilds already got intel about the boss from friends in PTS guilds.

Please stop claiming that "everyone who wants" gets on the PTS and then you can withhold any video for whatever time you like and feel superior because you killed it before everyone else.

Im not sure why you found it so difficult to get on the PTS, i know of a few groups who between tyth testing and izax have easily gotten on with just 1 or 2 emails to musco. The whole process has been surprisingly easy and welcomed by Bioware, they even openly requested for raid teams who wished to get on PTS to email them multiple times. So to claim "that you didnt try hard enough" is perfectly justified.

It is unfortunate that you did not get on... given that it has been over 1 year...but that problem is not on us, it is still on you..... no need to punish groups that actually spent our time to test bosses as they are developed on PTS ya.

This whole PTS issue will always come up. The game as it is, requires players to be part of Boss development and testing, and we all wish it didnt. This has been a fact since 2.x. (which is when i started). Thats the world we live in, unfortunately.

  4. Well, SupaHsuB and WiththeForc already posted in this thread, but if you need further proof, read this chat log (source).

And no, my (semi-progress) group is not able to participate in world first progression. We will likely be stuck on Nahut for many weeks.

In the first few weeks, we can probably get a lockout from other guilds, but once all the content locusts have left, it will be tough. We only raid for about 4-5 hours per week, and we'll probably need at least 2 hours to get a 2/3 lockout, which leaves very little time for progressing on Nahut.

Then hearing that one guild gets a free lockout from a GM makes me angry.

Now, if SWTOR had an "Extend lockout" button like in WoW so that we only need to kill Tyth & A&E once and can carry over the lockout into the following weeks, the situation would be different. But as it stands, Bioware should never have provided that lockout.

Good god, how naive can you be?

Adding this to the Bioware gave us 240 gear first week of 5.0 conspiracy theories.

    Thanks for the memes

  5. I am completely astonished that Bioware would do such a thing, it's evident based on the time when the patches are happening that certain guilds from specific regions already have a huge headstart in the competitive progression that we conduct here in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I am appalled that Bioware would interfere in this fashion with the progression race, how will players like Fuyri, Tigg, Milas and Nibbon deal with their respective 8 Man Gods of The Machine 8man Veteran Mode Progression Threads?

Additionally, I am even more worried that perhaps Enkay makes an appearance and comment on how progression isn't linear, is that the kind of forum activity that we want? Do we really need another 50 pages long discussion regarding how points for each boss should be counted and exactly how many times you may use reflect for it to count?

    Only oldfags will remember :(

  6. So apparently Bioware provided a 2/3 GftM lockout to one guild so that they could kill Nahut VM 30 minutes after the live servers opened.

This is totally unacceptable. While there isn't much of a progression scene left in SWTOR, the race to the world firsts continues to be a core part of raiding.

I don't mind that Bioware invites players to PTS so that they can test the boss (and from what I could tell from our SM kills today, the boss is very well done). And I don't mind if Bioware gives them lockouts on PTS so they can spend more time testing the new content.

But those players should not then go to the live server, get an officially sanctioned lockout and publicly stream their kill on Twitch to rub it into every other raider's face.

Oh man, what guild got a free 2/3 lockout from Bioware? Thats IS unacceptable!

Wish we were good enough to get one.....

  7. so interesting video. What i've learned from this is a few things:

First i have a video myself of a partial pug group doing styrak 4 weeks later and failing with 1 million more raid wide damage (~20m) and 3k more dps (41.2k) hitting enrage before you. So total damage done being 1 million more on the same boss makes me think there were some changes between first week of december and first week of january. (i also have a kill video, but using the fail as a closer reference point since i can compare the enrage.)

using your video you had roughly ~18,964,000 raid wide damage at time of kill. At time of death of mine, we had ~19,909,000. (no this does not include the first groups of adds, those were cleared and reset.) (on our kill video we had ~19,975,000 total raid wide damage.)

so with that much of a disparity (~5%) something changed between december and january.

But on the flip side, i do retract my previous statement since you do actually have a video of the kill. Well done.

However, i'm now wondering what was changed.

so before we go writing essays lets learn to count :) there are 7 people in the parser, not 8 :)

rofl...... reminds me of mathematically impossible version 2k17

  8. Added another Run's loot table to my post,

Did DF Again to confirm Brontes's Drop.

At the rate this is going, it seems like there isnt a complete 248 loot table at the moment.

No place to get Head/Chest/Belt/Bracers/OH or MH....

It seems better than the nothing we were getting before, but to put RNG Assembled items on bosses seems to be too high on the "Thrill of the Hunt" scale...... Wonder what kinda random relics we gonna get...
