Boss Reset issue: It's my personal belief that if you don't see the door to the boss room, that has a cutscene, then you will get reset. So make sure everyone sees and interacts with the cutscene door. If you don't, then exit the area, and come back.
To be sure, we all click at the same time too, so everyone has a castbar.
This. We had it reset on us three times. There was no door during these attempts and after the third attempt, we decided to exit area, reset phase, clear trash and try again. After exit/reset, the door was there and we were able to finish the boss off.

Quick question. When adding up the stat numbers (def, abs, sh), are stims applied while adding up? Or should these numbers be based off unstimmed characters?
-edit- Neve mind, I randomly clicked on a page in this thread (think it was 5 or 7) and Boom, someone asked the question and it was answered. Maybe include that info in the first post? I reread that post a ton of times and didn't see that info on there. Regardless, thanks for all the work and info.

Not sure if it's been said yet, but personally, I'd love to be able to change the color of the UI. Give us the color control we get with text and also how transparent the frames could be and I'd be happy. Other than that, for an ingame UI, I think it's one of the better ones out there.

I have 5/6 parts now. It seems Pleasure speeder parts are rare and always are special treasure and bound.
If you plan to start search for parts dont do it on a char that finished Dread seed questline, i suppose you will get no armor and higher chance (maybe, not sure) of Pleasure speeder parts as special treasure. I am already overpacked with Dread seed armor pieaces
.Thing about alts is that you can't transfer the parts. I also am a 1 character type of person, don't have time to do this on an alt and I want it on my main. So I guess I'm screwed.
You said you found some parts, did you find them on a character that finished the quests?

Yeah I know what you mean, managed to get the other 2 speeders but pleasure one is impossible this way. Got half dozen bracers and gloves from searching
I would like to know, if anyone who has completed the Seeker quest line, if they have found a Pleasure Speeder part?
I was searching some more yesterday and again, not one Pleasure Speeder part. Now if there's confirmation that we can still find them and it's all about the rng and a bit of luck, I'll keep searching. But as far as I'm concerned, it seems like the Dreadseed armor has overwritten my chances.
What has everyone else experienced so far (those that completed the quest line)?

Was it the special treasure or regular one? If former did you finish the storyline for dreadseed?

It's the special treasure that depletes the area. I found one part before finishing the story line. Now that I've finished the story line, I have not found a single speeder part. But I have a complete second set and three extra belts, two extra pants, a few bracers etc.
They need to allow us to turn off armor search or something.

I'm currently seeking parts for the Pleasure speeder but it's become rather frustrating because I keep getting Dreadseed gear. I did my Dreadseed hunt, I've achieved my complete set, it was long but worth it. I have no problem getting a second set for one of my alts (which I'm in the process of doing). But had I known that it would become a factor of hindering my chances of acquiring my speeder parts, I would have not finished the quest line and would have waited.
I focus on one character, my highest level alt is 38 and I've been playing since beta/launch. Goes to show that I'm not an alt-aholic and even then, the parts are bound so I couldn't even transfer them if I wanted.
So having said all that, it would be awesome to have a feature, where we can somehow turn off the ability to find the Star Forger/Dreadseed gear. I have (excluding my full set that I'm wearing) a complete second set PLUS extra belts, bracers, pants and gloves of the Dreadseed. I can't help but wonder if those could have been Pleasure Speeder parts.
I feel, because of finishing the quest line, that I'm now at a disadvantage in finding the Pleasure Speeder parts.
Please, either allow us to turn off the chance of finding the gear OR give us a vendor to trade the armor for speeder parts. It could be like 3 bracers for the chasis or something like that.

Anyway, most likely you should augment for defense rating (Advanced Redoubt Augment 28) for most if not all your gear, since the optimal stat distribution for Juggernaut tanks is pretty high on defense rating and most of the easily available gear does not have that much defense ratting.
There could be eventually a point where an absorb or shield augment might be worth it, but start with defense.
What he said. All defense Until you cap off enough then you can distribute to shield/absorb augs.

Alacrity is super awesome to have on my Jugg tank gear. All about being an alacrity tank. Screw survivability, who needs that when my Ravage is .125 seconds faster? Alacrity = super awesome tanksauce.

Oh it's true, I may be a Jester but I don't lie. There were 4 in the crate, along with some Isotope-5...I don't mind sharing the info, but it took me 3 seeker boosts and almost an hour to find the 'Special Item' so have fun out there! using it must be a massive pain on PVP servers lol...
The chances of finding a box like that has to be rare, very rare. I've been farming seeker spots (almost full dreadseed gear) and I've found plenty of 'special items' as well... I mean plenty. I've only come across one box with comms in there. That box you found was one hell of a find. Don't count on that box being found often.

Little to no jugg tanking gear. The rest has been inquisitor dps/tanking gear. A few agent pieces here and there. We got three sith assassin chest tanking pieces in one run actually. I can't say we've had a single bh piece drop although we have not had a bh in our ops runs at all.

Now way, cc breakers are the best kind of players. Especially Inquisitors who come in and do that aoe knockback immediately after I do my aoe taunt when try to hold the mobs together for aoe attacks. Those guys/gals are the bestest!

I was pretty happy we got Elite Comms with the heroic space missions. It was the main reward for doing them. Fleet comms are worthless and basic comms... meh. But the Elite Comms were nice. Those made it worth doing space combat.
Now that they're gone, I have no desire to do Space Combat anymore. Bioware, you put all this work into SC only to make it worthless to even bother with. I personally enjoy SC but now, it just seems like a waste of time. Maybe if I'm extremely bored and want a few easily measly credits I'll consider SC. But it won't be the first thing I do when I log in anymore.

Is that what I should be shooting for?

I need some help fellow pve tanks. These numbers, even in layman's terms, still go right over my head. I've read this thread a few times, read the threads with the links on the first page (and yes, the layman's link about a dozen times over) and I'm still confused/uncertain about a few things.
I read that we shouldn't dump anything into absorption, yet, a lot of the level 53 basic gear comes with absorption. I just turned 55 yesterday so I'm going to start working on the new gear... but I'm not sure if I should purchase the new 53 level gear or not. I have a mix of Dreadguard/Blackhole gear just to let you know what I've got. All augmented to accommodate the pre 2.0 stat budget, meaning there's absorption here and there.
My guild is going to start having me tank the 55 hm's. They've cleared them all and a lot of our guys are geared from it so they're going to get me in the mix. Do I just focus on getting my gear from there and worry about stat allocation later? Should I focus on working on gear from the Basic Comm vendor?
Now with augments, seems like you are all saying not to get Absorb in those, I got that.
I read this "Now that I am 55 I will be working towards a budget more like
{1700,{defense->1009,shield->680,absorb->11}}" and that makes no sense to me. I know, I suck when trying to read these numbers, I don't do numbers and math. I need it laid out simple for me. Any advice and feedback would be awesome. What are the %'s I should focus towards? What's the sweet spat for Def%, Shield% and Absorb%?
Again, I've read this over and over, some of it is starting to sink in but reading these stat numbers is like me trying to read Japanese, just won't happen. Any advice/feedback/tips would be most appreciated.

Just trying to get a census of what end-game raiding guilds are left and how the health of their guilds are doing. It seems with the development of the game, health of the server, and the attrition rate of people leaving that some of the end-game guilds left might be suffering. Just seeing if guilds out there still doing healthy and not having player issues.
The Imperial Guard is still around. We've always have been and continue to be a casual guild but we have ops running weekly, but nothing hardcore. Our guild, as many others, did see a fallout when endgame wasn't cut out to what BW said it would be, but we've been managing just fine.

They''ve already stated some months ago that they''re already working on expansions for this game. This is an mmo. They will Always be dropping new content for this game. It may not be monthly, but expect to see new content and constant upgrades/updates for this game. It''s the nature of mmo''s.

Umm... its not about who creates addons, but support for them. TOR does not support any addons and I find it great-just you and your own skill not enhanced by macros and addons making everyone start and stay on equal field.

I tried macros in WoW years ago... I literally almost fell asleep tanking in MC. Macros = easy mode. Do Not Want.

Usually what I do is Right when I walk in the door I load up TOR, walk away, pick up around the house, maybe grab something to eat, do a bit of laundry. You know, petty daily stuff that needs to get done on a daily basis. Usually by the time I''m done doing that stuff around the house, I''ve already been loaded in and then I''m good to go.
Just gotta focus your energy elsewhere besides raging on the forums when you get a que. Seriously, there''s more to do in a day than play TOR.

This is an entertaining thread. Here we have on these forums, everyone and their grandma complaining that this game is a WoW clone and it should be different. Now we have this thread wanting the game to be clone WoW on their drop quality... which would lead to more people complaining that the loot quality Is Just Like WoW.
We just can't win can we?
