The real world location for the Dune Sea is the Grand Dune in Tunisia and Yuma Desert in California. So that could explain a little.

I loved Rebel Assault I/II. I dont have a problem with the space combat in this game but i did wish it was more like Tie Fighter/Xwing series well more X-wing Vs Tire Fighter.
