  1. Having been around since launch I am grateful for the XP Boosts in the first place, but now that they've been out for a while, they need a Pause Option. Should i need to step away from my PC for a few minutes, eg a Bathroom run, I have to log out or lose the time that my XP Boost runs. Even if I should be in game, and have a long distance to travel, in an area I have already discovered, (Alderaan seems good for this) I am still burning my XP Boost. If I need to repair, sell trash and reequip my gear, the time it takes to do all that is waisted XP Boost time.

The XP Boosts need a Pause Option. It is time. :)

  2. Great advice above. Although since 2.0 I haven't needed to pull the Diagnostic Scan spamming. Energy seems readily available now. Might just be me though, and I am much higher than 21.

As for Black Market Mods, you can wait on that until after you complete the Sawbones tree. Then you can get picky about Activation/Cooldown times. I just put points in BMM, at level 52 & 53.

And Survivor's Scars, I'd say leave it for now, but if you do a respec soon you could move them. Hard to argue with a Healing increase though. Just make sure you save 3 points for it later on if you remove it now. Like was said, Personal preference. I picked it up from the get go. Try both ways and see which works for you.

  3. Yep at 21, you are kind of winging it. You get some of your better heals soon though.

Outside of what you have, throw 3 points into No Holds Barred over in the Dirty Fighting tree. Sawbones healing is considered a Tech Ability. That will increase you chance of a Crit heal, which grants you Upper Hand. You def want that.

  4. Being a Sawbones, I love how easy it is for me to get a Crit and pick up stacks of Upper Hand. In addition to getting 2 stacks coming out of stealth, think CC, I start a fight more than fully prepared.

Only thing I hate is the loss of my two stun attacks. When questing solo, I have to rely even more on my comp than before. Don't if the permanently gone or just moved up the tree, but I want them back.

  5. As a Scoundrel Sawbones Healer I can honestly say you waited until a good time to be a healer. Gone are the days(for me anyways) of energy management. It used to be something I had to watch, now I don't even know if the bar moves.

That being said. You do know the priorities of a Healer yes? As in your Healing order? Tank, You, then DPS. In that order. Keep that at the front of your thoughts every instance. Second, and the thing that helped me the most, was to load up some Keybinds. No matter how you play, keybinding is a great tool to help save you time, save headaches, and save the folks you are healing. I usually hotkey each member of the group, so I can easily select which one gets the next cast. Look into it.

Now for the aggro problems. From time to time you will pull aggro off a LONELY mob. You'll get the attention of the mobs that the tank hasn't had the chance to piss off, and that can lead to problems. Here's what you can do. 1. Wait. Let the Tank and DPS get the fight started then start healing. This may mean playing catch up, but it works. 2. Defensive Screen, Dodge & Scamper (when you get it). DS can buy you the time you need to get the tanks health up so that you can then heal yourself, then the DPS if the tank isn't in need. Remember tank then you then DPS.

For stats, Cunning is your friend. Keep watch of your character stats. Press "C" to pull it up and check out your Tech stats. As you mouse over those #'s you'll see what leads to improving them. I like to get gear/mods that mix CRIT, SURGE & POWER. Not in that order, just a good mix. CRIT will get you stacks of Upper Hand, Surge determines how strong that UH cast is and POWER just adds a little extra Healing strength on top of your Cunning's #'s.

I am by no means the best healer out there. But I have been able to have success in the FP's and Ops I've been in. You'll learn your rotations. What works for me may not work for you. As you start having success, you'll know when you're screwed too. Don't worry about anything but healing. That's you're job. At times it can be hard and stressful. Make a mistake and it's *** HEALS? time. Keep at it, good healers are always in demand.

  6. Once you hit the weekly limit it does alter the amount you receive. I noticed it during SM KP. Looted a Boss and got 2 Classic Comms. Right above (or below) that text was a line that said that the value has been changed to 0 because I have reached my weekly limit. So yeah, 200 a week and that's it.

I really can't see how much it should affect me. I looked at all the gear I can buy with Classic's. I honestly only saw 1 Relic that worked for me ( the Mender relic). Unless i missed something somewhere, I didn't see much that I would actually be buying.

And lastly, where is it I can turn in the Columi Pieces for the Classic comms? I have 2 of them that I saved, where do I turn them in?

  7. I'll throw in that I sucked at LI. I do think that with only 3 tries at it, I can understand a bit of a learning curve. I think had I been in a group that I knew a bit moreso than a GF group I may have had more luck in there. I hated they nerfed it bc, even though I hadn't had much success, I wanted to learn it so that I would have better odds in there.

I don't mind a challenge. I often don't have guildies to run these FP's with though so that hurts a bit.

  8. How was it "rebalanced"? I hate to say it, but I struggled in LI HM. I haven't had but 3 runs at it, but that honestly just made me want to try again until I figured out how to run it. I heard it was rebalanced and am curious how that was done.

If you all could 2 man it, more power to you. I'd love to tag along to see what you're doing. I enjoy learning the different FP's. LI is the only 1 I've ever had trouble on.

    Ah, Smuggler Scoundrel here.
