  1. It's a little annoying to see people on Ebon Hawk complain so much about role-play. It's an RP server, expect RP.

Sometimes I feel like a vast majority of the populace is extremely mislead and uneducated in regards to role-play. Yes, he's asking for dancers. No, It's not weird. Why? Because It's Nar Shadda. Nar Shadda is owned by the Hutts. Twi'lek's are iconically slaves and dancers, by their lore. - There is not a single abstract thing about a dancer in Hutt Space, (though I must admit the ones in the Fleets get a little annoying.)

Furthermore, I find it hard to determine what exactly you have a problem with. It could be your lack of knowledge in regards to how RP protocol works, or just that you're so dreadfully inexperienced and socially retarded that you think women don't enjoy dressing in attractive lingerie and getting attention. It's hilarious to watch, and It's so widespread that the entertainment never ends.

Continuing that point, one of the main rules of RP is "IC =/= OOC.", meaning In Character things do not conflict with Out of Character. Even if a male were to be playing one of these dancers, It's role-play. - To clarify, It's basically acting in text. There's no difference between a male writing a book with a female main character. Are male authors basement dwelling perverts? No.

-- That's all I can really think of right now. People really need to stop being so narrow minded to these things.

You've summed up nicely everything I was going to say about this post (but you put it in way better words than I could have. "... dreadfully inexperienced and socially retarded..." I giggled.) So disappointing to see the reaction to this post on a designated RP server, where you'd think it'd be most welcomed.

  2. I have also been having some problems on my Sentinel, and am glad I stumbled upon this thread. I've seen others in PvP just slaughtering, so I assumed it was just me not knowing how the class worked. (And it was! No surprise there.) Hopefully, I'll be able to integrate some of the helpful tips and tricks here into my playstyle to help me along. (Most of my problems were the same as the OP's. I felt too squishy to justify the damage output, like I was just running in and faceplanting. I use T7, but hadn't thought of letting the little guy run in first!) It looks like almost all of my problems have been covered by the previous posters.

I just have one question to add. My sentinel is currently 33. A lot of people here are saying go Watchman, but I recently spec'd into Focus, (the additional leap, ignoring 20% of opponents armor, and a few other things looked like fun) but now I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time with it. Should I go back to Watchman? Is the difference in playstyle with these two so dramatic that it'll change my entire gaming experience with my Sentinel?
