  1. Shield is basically a constant over all the enhancements so you want to make sure you have the lower endurance enhancements/mods/implants/ears in order to boost your def/abs. You get boosted endurance (over dps/heals) based on the armorings you'll be using. Then you'll also have LOTS of mitigation stats (which are tons more important than endurance). Stay far away from the lettered mods, and you are better off with the crafted 186 Sturdiness/Immunity enhancements than ANY of the comms gear enhancements.

Once you have all that lined up, you should find that your shield stats can be bolstered more than enough with augments (should you need).

Getting your mitigation stats is always a balancing act when you get new gear. take the time to write out the numbers (I use a no-frills spreadsheet) that you currently have, see where you should be, see the difference, and play with the numbers on your possible gear choices.

  2. Doesn't the NDA expire once the content goes live?

As I understand the NDA for PTS of 3.0...all information relating to what is currently Live is free and clear of the NDA while anything not in Live is still protected by the NDA and unable to be discussed.

So the set bonuses can be discussed (as they are now); but you cannot discuss other iterations of the set bonuses.

  3. I specifically take issue with the wording of the first two bullet points of your first post in this thread, not the discussion if the information in general. You're toeing a line because you can, even though it would have been trivial to leave out any mention of the pts and convey exactly the same relevant information.

I don't think it's trivial to leave it out...

As a reader, it says to me that the information was garnered from the PTS and while Live is using the same numbers, it may not act the same currently and has not been verified since release.

That is important when looking at the maths and opinions extrapolated from all the theory crafting.

  4. I got to say all this fuss people have about Aisthesis offering paid guild spots for Conquest titles is making me chuckle. I just can't understand why you care so much. The only logic I see behind being bothered by this is because you don't have the credits to do this yourself and that bothers you.

I do see the credits as a level of protection for Aisthesis. The only way you'd give up those credits is if this was a real value to you; so those that want to troll or be toxic to Aisthesis won't bother doing it. Not to mention, I would assume that once you have the guild tag over your head, for however long, you'll have the opportunities to join guild runs (which earns you your credits back, by the way) and possibly get gear.

On a separate note, it is quite extreme and cold-hearted to throw such aggressive words around about all this and to make light of things like prostitution. Human trafficking is serious and prolific problem that should be fixed, not joked about. You want to be angry, hurt, annoyed, bothered? Go ahead, it's your right. Just as it's Aisthesis's right to sell guild spots. Just like it's others right to agree or disagree with you. I just encourage you to use some original insults.

To talk about what Bioware wants for this game....they want money. They don't care in the least how that happens. They are a company, all they really care about is money. Right now they have a system in place to get more people into the game, stimulating the GTN, adding to crafting, running more operations and flashpoints, and subscribing (which gives them money!)

  5. It's not bugged, unfortunately. He always pops back at 20%, even if he summons at 10%. In fact, the summon trigger is at 15%, it's just that he has scripted actions which sometimes override this. In theory, it's possible to time your burst DPS such that you can kill him without getting the dragon, but I'm not sure the gear exists in the game sufficient to do this.

I understand he always pops back to 21% health, as is his mechanic, but the extra time needed to DPS him down to 10%, only to have him jump to 21%, made him enrage that much faster as the Kell Dragon was out. I would allow for some level of variance in health before phasing, however, considering it was spawning the Kell dragon between the chained and lightning manifestations I would say it was not, in fact, working as intended. And we got Styrak from 16% - 10% health after a lightning manifestation ended.

  6. So...<Bane> got styrak to 14%, 15%, and 10% before he summed the dragon....

All three pulls (out of our 5 total) he then popped back to 21% and then enraged after the dragon went down.

So in theory, had the operation not been bugged, <Bane> would now be 7/7....

  7. LOL implied agreement- I am not trying to get into a constant argument here but your kidding right? This isn't a bank loan, nor are you buying a house, this is a game not people whole lives. So the next time I am going out of town I should let all of yall know my plans and for how long. Get out of here with that junk Also, what is to say that the guy had to go on an emergency, but I am sure his/her first thought was oh wait I need to let people in SWTOR know that im going to be gone for a month when it could be lets say a birth, surgery, death in the family.

I'm not saying it is a bank loan, and if you don't want to be a crafter....don't be. And i'm not saying we need all details of your life and schedule, but if you are quitting the game, or unsubbing, or taking an extended break a "heads-up" seems like the respectable thing to do.

  8. I did not say that. I am just saying in the future you should always confirm an arrangment ahead of time with the crafter before sending high end mats such as these in the mail.

While I do agree an arrangement should be made ahead of time, i feel like posting in this thread that you are a crafter creates an implied agreement "you send me mat + cost, and i will send you item back in a timely fashion" If you don't want the responsibility of signing in and checking crafting and sending stuff out, then either you shouldn't post on the thread, or let people know you are going MIA.

Conversely, I've gotten in the habit of sending everything as 1cred COD.
