  1. Gotta necro this thread, because I just got in a fight with the sand demon. Unkillable currently, since it spams a self heal faster than the interrupt CD. Definitely broken.

Not unkillable, requires some thinking outside the box and at least 2 ways of interrupting a spell. (that aren't stuns etc)

On a Jedi Knight you have to take the utility point in the skill that makes force charge/leap reset the cooldown on your kick. You will be kicking the first heal, moving away to charge the 2nd (can do the dash to make quick distance), and kicking the 3rd, with the 4th heal coming in before your kick or charge are back up again.

Same tactic will be used to keep Lucky on Corelia from munching your face with his skills.

Originally i too thought he was unkillable, but due to chatting in general chat with others about his healing and having time to think about it while fighting him (jedi tank with 50 inf heal companion, neither of us were dying until i worked out how to interrupt enough of his heals)

    Hope this helps!

(other classes just need to find whatever combo they can get for 2 interrupts in short succession, or any utility that resets the interrupt)

  2. The worst is when there are two polar opposite choices, but then the NPC talking to you goes back to neutral after one line.

    Do you like puppies?

1.) Yes! - NPC Me too! I need your help saving some.

2.) Flirt - I like something about doggies, nawhatimsayin? - NPC You're so naughty! I need your help saving some.

3.) I murder a dozen every morning! - NPC That's horrible! I need your help saving some.

Yeah you can tell by the responses they give (if any) which was the expected answer.

  3. You act like preferred status gives everything subscription status does.... IT DOESN'T.

This game is set around you being a subscriber, and restrictive if you aren't as a hope you will cough up the cash to sub. (yes im a sub)

So your gym analogy doesn't stack up.

Also something you MUST learn from the p2w asian games. While only a small % of players may be cash cows and contribute to the game (and carry the costs / give profit), it is the healthy community (and the people to be fed upon) provided by the f2p players that keeps the p2w section pampered, feeling good about themselves, worshipped, and continuing to dump their loads of cash into the game.

Now swtor aint p2w, but it does have the ability for you to sink enormous amounts of cash into it through the cartel market, and players wont do that if there's just a small ghost town of subs surrounding them.

    Freebie players make subs happy.

  4. i have just come back after, well a long time lol and found why i loved this game. the story telling is awesome (IMO), the classes are fun and engaging, and the fact that i can live out my fantasy as jedi/sith wielding a light saber!!!. But while i have been playing and btw loved the most recent story progression. i have noticed that on the planets from lvl 1- 50 or even higher there are at most on a Friday/Saturday night 26 pop. so to the question at hand what do people think is the life span of this game? is it going to stay for a couple of years? or is it going to thin out till EA and bio ware just give up and close the servers down? and i don't want people just saying " dyeing because its sucks" that's not a valuable answer. back it up with facts please. sincerely a considered player, love this game and i mean love it but i just wonder if its ever going to get back to even half the total pop it had in its golden days. thank you

    Move to Harbinger.

  5. Sith Inquisitor (now Sith Sorcerer... even though the legacy emote is still /inquisitor gg.)

Simply awesome, i luv Khem Val and the twists and the fact you can become a force Pokemon Trainer.

    Jedi Knight

Is basically the story of the game. All expansions that went from 8 down to 1 storyline basically just followed the Jedi Knight's storyline. All about you and the Emperor.

    Imperial Agent

I remember this being fun with all the agenty stuff, but it was 3 years ago so i might have to re-do it. The female Agent's voice is silky smooth.

    Trooper

I enjoyed having Havoc Squad assembled, and loved the Senate twist near the end.

    Scoundrel

    FLIRT WITH EVERYTHING!

Hot Ambassador on Nar Shaddaa, flirt. Prison guard on Belsavis, flirt. Box of Documents on Coruscant, flirt.

    Jedi Sage

I like it for its mix of dark and light choices, but it makes the Jedi Council look ... super weak with everything they ask of you. Get it together guys!

Also has the most amount of companions i would rather stab in the face then accept into my crew. (you know something's wrong when you initially hated Qyzen but he becomes the best of the bunch because you hate the others more once you get them.)

I would have preferred to have Holiday come alive EDI mass effect style and make her a full fledged member of my group.

Also why cant i use the air lock feature on some of the diplomats on my ship!

    Bounty Hunter

Still to do, all i hear is Mako this, Mako that, and from what i recall, the Mako was a vehicle you'd ride in Mass effect on bumpy terrain.

    Sith Warrior

Barely touched this one yet, will get to it soon. Something about Vette in a slave collar and Jaesa going all 50 shades of grey on you.

    Sounds educational.

  6. People misunderstand where the difficulty is in this game.

It's not in the storyline content.

It's in the other 3 people in your tactical flashpoint doing stupid things and dying, leading to a wipe.

It's people queueing for hard mode flashpoints in gear that begs for them to do normal mode.

It's people who go into an operation with no clue about their class or even a basic 200 blue set of gear.

It's the pvp match where you have people running in circles or face charging into a pack of enemies.

It's the GSF where half your team self-destructs or has no clue what's going on.

The difficulty in this game is enduring through the content with some of the other players, not the content itself.

Now if you wanted to set your own goals outside of that, pull an entire heroic area and do a heroic moment, see if you survive it. (bonus points if mobs stun/knock back enmasse)

Unsummon your companion and feel the breath of mortality against your skin.

  7. Why do you want to play on overpopulated server?

Isn't the latency from Russia around 800-1000 anyway?

Don't take issue that players actually want to play on a server with.... *drumroll* other players.

Harbinger is the best thing we have until the Devs wake up and make cross server queues for FP/PVP happen.

  8. Do 1-50 Class story. End chapter 3.

Do Makeb (Hutt Cartel, starts from ship terminal)

Do Rishi+Yavin 4+ Ziost (Prelude to Shadows of Revan mission from ship terminal)

Optional: Oricon (Dreadmaster planet chain that leads up to the dreadmaster operation and provides heaps of lore/story to what's going on with them. Also gives the quest that gets you a mount if you do the operation etc)

Optional : CZ-198? Takes like 15mins to swing by and do the dailies/weekly without having to do the flashpoints on it

Optional: Blackhole / Section-X (hell ive still not really done these since ive returned, will check out on some char for achiev hunting in time i guess)

You are now ready for Kotfe. (Kotfe will cut off and permanently remove any class story/previous xpack you have yet to complete. So make sure you do them all first or be willing to ignore them on the character you start Kotfe with.)

It sucks that Kotfe cuts off all previous content, but it is what it is.

  9. Short version:

Game doesn't have the dev budget left in it to produce any new classes.

So none of this will come to pass.

    Longer version:

New classes require so much balance passing and dev time/assets to bring up that unless it was 1 new class for the purpose of an expansion (think deathknight in wow), it wont happen.

They have stated in the past that defection requires too many flag checks for quest completion on either side, and are unwilling to do this.

The current game direction seems to be more towards streamlining, rather then giving more choices. So extra weapons for the classes sound cool, but i don't see them happening either.

Basically ask for things that look pretty and require almost no dev time to create, and could be put on the cartel market for them to make money on, and there's a chance they could come into the game.

Otherwise realise most of of the dev team is currently working on Mass Effect: Andromeda, and wont be back here until after August. Where we are told there will be 1 new PVP zone that will coincide with one of the Kotfe: Chapter story changes. That's all that is on the road map until August 2016.

  10. hahahaha come on Khem is not awesome enough to be alike Wrex, his personality was awesome! i loved having him in my squad.

Hmm altho' Aric Jorgan somehow reminds me of Varus Vakarian and his weapons malfunctions..hahah

    ~Koko

    Excuse Me!?

Khem Val is THE BEST companion of all companions.

He is the last* of his kind, and has enough power to kill any player character. But due to being in stasis is beaten by you and is honor bound to follow you. He is the ENTIRE reason the Sith Sorcerer manages to make it through their class stories. Without him there is no Sith Sorc.

No other companion takes such a hit for you. Not even darkside Jaesa sacrifices that much in comparison to Khemmy.

  11. Well I'm mainly here for the RPG gameplay but I do enjoy the online aspects of the game aswell. From what I've seen in game it seems fine, just wanted to get an idea from other subs as to how healthy it is in terms of how many people are actually playing and perhaps how long the game may last.

Guaranteed* to last until at least August 2016.

Play on Harbinger Server and enjoy.

  12. Listen. I just came back to the game. I really am starting to enjoy it now. But queue times are a joke.Servers are dead. Create cross realm grouping/queues so we can actually enjoy the game. Between the hours of 2 AM est and 9 AM Est I would be LUCKY to get ONE Warzone pop. Having a hard time understanding why this wouldnt be a top priority. This is the type of **** that makes people leave the game. One of the SEVERAL things that make people leave. I cant even believe your still charging $15 a month for this game. How would you expect to gain players back with that? They are skeptical as it is. Fix ****.

If you NA server, xfer chars to Harbinger. Do it.
