  1. I definitely made some cash off the patch.. but am I the only one who is unhappy about the fact that armor isn't going to be a good seller anymore??

Now that the kits are losing value.. Armormech is going to end up being one of the least profitable crew skills.. I was selling Augged WH armor for 125k+ per piece before the patch.. now it is sitting there at 75k per and no one is buying..

So yea.. in the short term this was a good boost for sales.. and kinda nice to get a few M in the bank.. but now you might as well go ahead and drop Armormech.. Who would buy augmented gear off an Armormech when you have to pay to have the mods removed from the reward gear when you can just buy a kit and put an aug in the gear you get right from the npc..

Big fail on this one BW..

Yeah I would totally agree with your assessment. They really do need to add some super rare schematics and/or crafting components (a la RIS and BH armor in SWG).

Right now, everything is just so easy to get and there's just no demand for something that anyone can get. That's pretty basic--and I wish the devs would realize it.

  2. 52M is impressive, by your own estimates that's either 346 sold augments or augment kits in total at an average of 150k each and not including expenses. You must have crafted and scavaged your backside off.

Only a small percentage of that was actually from kits. I had saved up ~1400 augmentors and those ended up being my big moneymaker.

    Even a week later they're still 25k a pop.

Wow Splaktor, 400k is a lot. Most of mine I got 155k per and then that halved on day 2. Well don!!

I'm also with you regarding pre-1.3 crafed armor. I made a bunch and put cheap green lvl 49 augments in them so that they would get the augment slot hoping that that would increase the value of those armors by the approximate amount that an augment kits costs + the cost of creating the slot with the table... but they just aren't selling. ://

I guess the truth is, all crafted armors are pretty easy to get the schematics, therefore easy to make and no demand to look like someone else. Unique drop armors will be more in demand.

  3. I just sold my last augment/augmentor. And prices on augment kits have dropped substantially. So now that the rush is more or less over, how much profit did you make crafters? I'm up 52m.

I knew Dulfy had overestimated mk-6 sales values. On my server I sold the bulk of mine for 155k each. Very few people actually got 200k for kits, and only in the first hour. Now they're about 70k.

Augments are still pretty high though. 140-180k for the more useful ones. And augmentors are at a solid 30k each.

  4. LOL, way to side-step the issue. It's an open world boss. Of course there will be competition and interaction with those of same faction and opposing faction regarding an open world boss.

Devs purposely made it an open world boss. They could have easily made it an instanced encounter if they wanted.

Some people want open wolrd pve and pvp content. If you don't, then don't participate. But like I said it's not getting changed so quit crying about it.

  5. It's against Bioware's Terms of Service to prevent other players from interacting with world objects. People would do similarly to other trying to collect the Unusual Egg for the orobird pet. These players, once reported to customer service were warned not to do it again or risk action against their account.

    Report them.

  6. Easy! This is a game and not a job... I work most of the day and have only a couple of hours to play, sometimes none at all... so i don't want to get out from one job to get into another...

So a game should only have enough content so that someone who can only play a couple hours a day will be satisfied? If you don't want to earn things then go play a single-player game. Giving away everything to everyone = nothing to do. Don't you get it?

  7. Still not quite sure what visuals this patch fixed. I ran Story EC last night on my assassin tank and on the Stormcaller boss I still could not see the visuals for double destruction the first time. I do see the channel bar, but it is hard to see whether I am able to place it on my 2 dps or not. After that first cast though, I see the rest of the attacks just fine throughout the fight.

That's odd. I've never heard of problems with visuals for DD. The only visual that happens to those who get DD is a small white light flash. And then they have the debuff, of course.

The main thing in this encounter most people can't see is when they are the target of the lightning spires and bubbles. Also affected is the yellow marker that eventually drops off or is cleansed off, but that's not that big of a deal.

Were your people on the ground seeing the bubbles on the first phase 1?

  8. For some classes, Blackhole mods are worse than rakata. Take the sniper for example:

this item: Rakata Boots vrs This item: MK-1 Trapper boots (sniper)

    Notice something?

yes, the mod, despite being lvl 61 vrs 58, is weaker than the rakata! So by "upgrading" I'm nerfing myself. The only item that is worth it switching because of item level is the Barrel/hilt of your weapon. Because, despite the maybe weaker stats, your damage still goes up.

What are you talking about? The BH you posted is absolutely better than the Rakata.

There are some truly speshul people in this thread. LOL. Do you believe in Sasquatch? If so, can I sell you a bridge to your back yard?

I'm guessing you know nothing of diminishing returns, and that at some point it's better to get some secondary stats like power, crit, surge etc. because gaining more of a stat you already have a ton of won't do much for you.

You wouldn't trade a whole ONE cunning for all those other +stats? Wow, just wow........

  9. Cant carry set bonus to orange, cosmetic gear unless you have campaign, buddy; so yes "a" still applies after 1.3 After 1.3 you'll only be able to consider BH best in slot when in rakata/columi/tionese shells - doesn't sound like a customized look to me. For "b", the 68 WP mods for consulars are not available in BH gear. And your response for "c" really? NiM EC is going to drop higher rating gear than BH and Campaign.

Make sure you know what you're talking about before you try and be clever.

It's ok man. Some of these people have obviously never even gotten any Campaign. They're just trolling or talking about something they know nothing about. Yay internets.

  10. Sorry, but you should look more closely at what you can put together using rakata shells+BHmod+augments, before blindly calling campaign gear BiS.

I will use this example for you. For commando/merc, only 2 pieces (gloves and boots) of the campaign gear have the reflex armoring 61 in them (68aim/49end), the other 3 peices use the commando armoring 61 (57aim/60end). Black Hole gear has 4 pieces (gloves, boots, legs, helmet) that use the reflex armoring 61 in them.

Now to get BiS, I would need to use the reflex armoring, so I would have to have the campaign gloves and boots, then get 2 pieces of black hole gear and move the mods to rakata shells in order to keep the 4 piece set bonus (or I could just use the 4 black hole pieces in rakata shells). For the 5th piece, I would either have to go off spec (and use the campaign combat tech chest) or use a stand alone reflex armoring 61 from a HM EC drop.

I didn't say Campaign is perfect. I said you need Campaign to have BiS. Maybe you should read a little more closely and not make assumptions--that way you won't look a fool.

My point this whole time has been that Campaign armorings are better than Rakata. Duh, brah. Duh.
