  1. I did that, Unleashed gives me the same framerate that the normal version. There is no notceable difference on my computer, so maybe that points to some driver issue (newest nvidia drivers) or something else. Are you all running 64bit Win 7?

Have you messed with the settings of Unleashed?

By default its performance gain is minimal if you mess with the settings a bit especially if you have 4+ GB of ram you should see quite the improvement.

And yeah I am running Win 7 64x.

  2. Havent read the whole thread so dont know if this has been suggested yet but I also have a GTX 680 with a good amount of ram and an i7 processor...and SWTOR ran like absolute crap and often had serious performance drops.

This will until I installed SWTOR Unleashed....night and day difference.

So yeah get SWTOR Unleashed and see how that goes for you!

Here's the link to SWTOR Unleashed thread:

The heavy armor version of this chest is pristine vindicator's chestguard (same look, color)

Random drop from mobs lev 51+ it seems.

Very much doubt a bop item is a random drop...

Just need to find out where it drops ;)

Ah well medium armor/heavy armor...just a tiny armor amount of difference care more about the look :D

  4. Yeah quite amazed how many people dont understand the concept of not hitting the CCed target...

I often give people scares in FPs when I use my AOEs when there are CCed targets but I got a good grasp what the range is of my AoE so I dont break up the CCs...that is quite fun to do btw haha...

But soooo many dont grasp this concept!

But yeah...not a lot you can do about it Im afraid.

  5. I've been playing Juggs/guards since early release, and many of us knew the class even then had good DPS. It took work to bring it out...but none of this is a surprise to me or the veterans in the game.

The perception that they're DPS was low was a perception. I actually find it funny that people are saying, "hey hey suprise! the class DOES do good DPS" when they have since day one...

the simplified the rotation. thats pretty much the biggest change. the addition of extra damage va talents is pretty standard (most classes got DPS boosts), but good juggernauts could place withing 5% of a maurader prior to 2.0. it's just easier to get the DPS out of them now, that's about it. it was always there.

good to see that you are seeing those numbers yourself now though, glad that others are starting to enjoy my favorite class.

Very true...Guardian has always been a great DPS class but for some reason many just didnt see it.

2.0 made it even better as you said but there's still so many ignorants out there haha...

Quite fun to startle people in FPs when they see what a Guardian is capable of DPS wise ;)

  6. Where is that chest from? I got similar one, when leveling on Makeb, but with black plates and unfortunatelly not moddable. Any advice where to get such armor, but different colors than those ugly ones from synthweaving, would be appreciated. Thanks

I was completely surprised when this dropped for me...and very happy as I love the black robe and white armor look.

It dropped for me from the mando raiders HM I believe it was the fight where you face the 4 imperials (or republic..if you're of the evil kind).

  7. There's a very subtle visual notification. You glow slightly blueish white. It can get lost in all the other stuff your Guardian is doing.

Dang that must be a serious subtle visual haha...tried looking for it this morning when I played for 15 mins before work...didnt notice a damn thing.

Ah well...so far I find the Guardian to play quite smooth in 2.0 and the scream is quite prominent so you notice quite well when MS is available again..and I got Dispatch in such a prominent position the bright yellow icon is a notification on itself.

  8. I thought Vanguards were OP anyway?

Just even the playing field now if you ask me.

They were a bit OP in PvP yeah...but getting overnerfed is a bit much and in PvE they werent OP in anyway.

So yeah they underperform in PvE and PvP now compared to other classes.

Buuut I care a lot less now as Im loving my Guardian :D

  9. I'd rather have the older, more subtle grunt from the Zen Strike proc. The Dispatch proc has a visual notification. Beat up on a dummy and see it a couple times to know what to look for. It's pretty easy to spot after that.

    Really?

Mhmm will have to try that out tonight ;)

The Zen Strike has no visual notification right?

  10. Competent enemies with a knockback will always save it for the last second of unremitting, knocking back and interupting the last tick of damage from master strike. Many classes can break roots as well, especially healer specs, so it feels like using MS is always a big gamble without any real reward - plasma brand and overhead strike together do FAR more damage and have none of the short comings, and can also proc keening, so I tend to open with them (after combat focus, saber throw and leap so I'm full focus).

This may be true if you face someone 1v1 at the start of a warzone but most of the time I find people having already used their knockbacks or breakouts or simply find out tolate I am placing a Master Strike on them.

Even so if that is the case you can always hit them plasma brand and overhead strike after.

Not using MS in PvP imo you miss out on a lot of dmg...I love using it!

And if you cannot initiate with a charge and they do notice you...you can always quickly get the first two hits in, which already hurt a ton, and then follow up with plasma brand/overhead strike/dispatch.

  11. 37 kills , 5 deaths, it was a full voidstar with a lot movment so i think 1000 DPS is quite nice, in an other game after playing the spec a little bit, i reached 1300 DPS in alderaan

Then I have to say well played :)

  12. There's an animation but it's very hard to see it. Combat sentinels have the same issue. If they could add a giggle or something that would help.

At work at the moment so cant test but its not the glowing of the eyes thing is it?

Haha thought that was the worst proc indication ever as you're looking at the back of your character 99 out of a 100 times :D

Anywayz I placed Dispatch to a prominent place on my hotkeybars so I see when I can use it right away still be nice to get some more obvious proc indicators.

  13. As a Vigilnce Guardian I have no problem getting my Master Strikes to hit a target in full just be sure to do it after a charge.

Make sure to get Stagger so they are rooted longer and Master Strike has a far longer range then pure melee to finish off its attack so when they start moving away from you dont move yourself as there is a very good chance your Master Strike will finish even though they are 5 to 10m away.

Combine this with Unremitting and I get my full Master Strikes in most of the time...and now almost always followed by a Dispatch it is immensely damaging!
