  1. Ok, before the transfers, everyone who got stuck in low pop / dead server with their high levels (and their money , legacy, etcetc) they all roll new char in fatman for pvp and harbringer for pve.

but when the server transfer goes live, wont the same ppl in fatman will return to their main and transfer all of them into the designated transfer server thus creating a giant server (eg a massively populated server) and left Fatman and Harbringer DEsOLATE ??

anyone on fatman will be playing in dead server in few weeks.. a kind of reverse curse for that server ??

  2. in the coming of Patch 1.3's automatic groupe finder, how do you all deal with the loot sharing in such pug's ?

Do you allow Need roll for companion ?

Do you allow player to roll need on items not for his role (eg a Trooper Vanguard Tank rolling NEED on Crit/Aim Heavy Armour gear (when there is also a Trooper Commando DPS rolling NEED on the Same item) ?

Do you vote to kick the greedy type players ? even if he is the TANK or the HEALER ? and risk queueing again for new TANk/HEALER (thus losing time) ?

  3. Satele in the timeline of the game , already a shadow of her former self

In the Opening Movie of SWTOR , from the Return and to the Alderaan Battle Scene, you see Satele in her youth and peak performance.. in the SWTOR game time, she is already too old for the jedi physical combat.. she is the leader of Jedi Council, her position now is to lead and teach.. not combat..

She admitted this when you ask her ( in the Carrick Station Flashpoint Terminals) to come with you to help in certain FP.. She will tell you that she is too old now , unlike you (the player) thats young and strong

  4. Haven't played D3, but I imagined it was similar to this game in combat mechanics, although some people say the game is extremely difficult. Anyhow, it's clear who the second victim might be:

woow that video is funny =D reminded me of a Simpsons character

BTW i watched the dialblo III video review and i see the player with an AI companion ? blizzard stole SWTOR's companion idea woot !!

  5. Load times between planets, zones, instances etc.

They are all artificial. No HDD or network activity of note is occuring during these load times. No memory usage increase, no gpu memory increase.

Why would devs put in this artificial time sink? it's annoying and is the only game in my history of gaming (since 286 era) that has such an issue. Fix it.

i think the artificial pause / wait time is only on the elevator transition screen (black screen pause)

the other load screen really load something from disk to RAM

  6. The story about the guy with the heart attack is sad, though. Still, I doubt it's fair to say the game caused him to have a heart attack - it's not like Starcraft 2 or a FPS or anything with fast-paced action and competitive pressure.

he played Diablo III for 3 days straight.. i think the higher level of diablo III is harder and more intense than the usual normal level

  7. Oh, I've heard from coworkers and friends about roommates that would literally prepare for 3+ days when a new game would release. They'd go to taco bell or something and buy enough food for 3 days, a few gallons of water, and a bunch of soda. The only thing they had to step away from a game was for bathroom breaks.

no 'walk around' breaks ? i heard sitting on one place for hours can cause blood clot in your leg?

  8. First day I got it while I still in the honey moon phase was about 8/9 hours on a nice boring sunday. I've not touched it for a few weeks recently though and not just because I feel like it's more of a chore now, taking a break from gaming just so I can focus on learning new skills.

yes i also got 4 hours honeymoon with swtor.. but lately not as many.. just dinged my 1st level 50 after 3+ months

  9. How many of you play SWTOR for more than 5 hours ? 10 hours ? more than 24 hours ? continuously without any rest / pause ? Back when SWTOR is new and fresh , my longest record is maybe about 4 hours non stop playing SWTOR..

really i just wondering how much a player can play any game.. ANY GAME .. for more than 8 hours.. this news snippet below state that a player played a game for 3 days non-stop..

32-year old Russell Shirley was found dead in his home over the weekend by his landlord and coworker. He suffered a heart attack after a three-day binge on a computer game

The blog post Oshry linked us to indicates that Shirley lived a sedentary lifestyle, and while his place of employment offered free gym membership, he was hard pressed to use it.

These are other known documented fatalities on excessive game playing time

    China

In 2007, Xu Yan died in Jinzhou after playing online games persistently for over 2 weeks

In 2007 a 30-year-old man died in Guangzhou after playing video games continuously for three days.

    South Korea

In 2005, Seungseob Lee played StarCraft almost continuously for fifty hours. He went into cardiac arrest, and died at a local hospital.

In 2009, Kim Sa-rang, a 3-month-old Korean child, died from malnutrition after both her parents spent hours each day in an internet cafe raising a virtual child on an online game, Prius Online.[83]

  10. Then level all those to level 50. Or start on another server. A different server type. RP server even. The galaxy is yours.

Try to see if you can get a level 50 character by doing just Missions on your ship when you get it. Try some of the crafting.

Go fishing: Wait sorry fishing isn't in yet. (I want fishing)

See if you can accumulate 20 million credits before the next expansion. Start another character of the same as your 50 and choose the opposite alignment path. The story changes.

Well the list of possibilities can go on.

Show me a person that only has one character on wow maxed out and I will show you someone that only resubs when new content is available.

im not asking for activities at lv50.. im asking whats the 1st things you should do when you hit lv50.. but its ok , Solar already put the link to that.. Thanks again Solar

  11. This might help you out.

I roughly agree with that guide but personally would hold off buying stuff from the GTN unless you really need to

Thanks Solar !! that certainly wat i need !!

Freshly Fifty – Day of the Ding

    Posted on April 28, 2012

It’s been a long and arduous journey to level cap, one fraught with struggles and doubt. You may have questioned your choice of class, gazing longingly at others while gliding across Alderaan. You may have dabbled in alts, never quite ready to reach level 50 and undertake the responsibilities that come with it. ****, you might’ve gotten to 49.5 and just lost your will to play, adverse to the soothing autumnal tones of Voss. Whatever happened on the way there, you’ve finally made it. With that final quest, you’ve achieved level 50, and with it unlocked the second half of your SWTOR experience: the endgame.

Once the flood of congratulations ends you may find yourself asking the question: “Where do I go from here?” If this is your second or third 50, you probably already have a decent idea of what lays before you, but if it’s your first…well, you’ve got some work to do.

Whatever your long term goals are, there are a few important steps to take shortly after hitting level cap.

    1) Finish your class quest.

I know, Corellia is a terrible place with a City Planner that would make Escher look orderly. It’s awful and you’re glad to be done with it. But not so fast sir, you’ve got to slog through and complete that climactic storyline you’ve been working on this entire time. On the plus side, you can now safely skip all those incidental side quests along the way.

Completing Act 3 serves a vital purpose: it unlocks the three daily quest chains that will provide you with a significant amount of gear and money. Without doing so, you’ll not only never know the stirring conclusion to your story, but you’ll be missing out on one of the easiest ways to accumulate some starting PVE gear.

    2) Hit the GTN.

After all your training, you’ll probably still have a decent amount of cash left over, rapidly burning a hole in your pocket. There are a few places to immediately look when surfing the GTN for the first time as a grownup. With the change to high-end crafting materials in 1.2, many crafters are able to flood the market with raid level Columi Implants and Earpieces at reasonable prices. Make sure you know what your class and spec’s “item type” is called and search for it (For example, Scoundrel healers use “Field Medic” gear, while DPS Scoundrels use “Enforcer” gear.)

Another good place to find gear is by searching for [Prototype] artifact level gear of your armor type. These items are at the same level as an orange loaded up with artifact level 50 mods, so if you get lucky, you can snag a few select pieces to fill in the holes of your gear. Another expensive option is to grab some orange bracers and belt, either from the GTN or from the Legacy vendor on Coruscant or Dromund Kaas. Both options are relatively pricey, but orange bracers / belt with level 50 mods beat out most anything else available at that level.

    3) Do your daily quests.

Once you clear your final mission, you’ll find yourself in the possession of a quest directing you to the icy planet of Ilum. You’ll also notice two new quests on the Fleet, sending you to Belsavis and Corellia (oh god not again!) respectively. While completing these new quest chains, you’ll start receiving Daily Commendations, which can be used to buy all sorts of interesting gear. In addition to high level implants, earpieces, and relics, you can obtain level 51 armoring and barrels / hilts rather quickly and easily. These can give you an important early boost, as most likely you’re still rocking that chestpiece you got in Athiss at level 20.

In addition to the commendations, completing the “heroic” daily quests reward you with level 50 armoring, mods, and enhancements. In some cases (tanks especially), you can obtain mods from these quests that you can’t actually craft using the Cybertech profession. So while you’re stockpiling commendations to get yourself a Rakata Implant, you can start plugging those Orange items full of updated parts.

Lastly, the heroic quests are a great opportunity to start meeting the level 50 population of your server. The game suggests that you add people to your friends list for a reason! Get to know the tanks and healers you find yourself pairing up with. You never know if that same tank might be willing to help you on your first Hard Mode Flashpoint. More on those later though, for now just make those vital connections.

    4) Craft those level 50 items!

If you’ve been leveling a crafting skill, odds are you’re close to the max rank, 400, by now. All of the crafting skills come with some special BoP item you can use to enhance yourself, but they all require a previously difficult to obtain crafting material to do so. Thanks to the change in patch 1.2 to make these items tradable, now you can hit the GTN to grab all the Biometric Crystal Alloy you need to craft all your unique items. The full list is below –

Biochem – Reusable stim, adrenal, and medpac.

    Artifice – Rakata level Relic

    Cybertech – Reusable grenades

Synthweaving / Armormech – Rakata bracers + belt

All of these give you cheap and powerful buffs without a lot of effort. With some luck, you may be able to critically craft your item, adding an augment slot to it. You can place augments in these slots, adding even more stats to these already powerful items!

Once you’ve gone through all these steps, you’ll be ready for the next leg of your journey: Hard Mode Flashpoints

  12. i really like the pairiing of Obiwan and little Ani , and Anakin and litte Ashoka

i think SWTOR's Jedi Knight Storyline should add a storyline where we met a force sensitive kid but he/she is not a jedi, so we took him/her under our wing as a padawan. then we fight with the jedi council (Satele and friends) over the right to train him/her..

would be fun if the kid we took in grow from kid to teenager to adult under our tutelage.. and our decisions / action / conversation choice will determine how he looks when he is older... light or dark.. handsome or ugly. pretty or nasty

  13. Ok here's my question since there is no ingame guide on what to do when i hit lv50..

for PVP i already know the path, i get the 2 BM gear and buy the rest of recruit gear and grind WZ for the rest of BM gear

    but

for PVE , since i ding 50 on belsavis, im kinda blind to the path to lv50 PVE.. what should i do now ? what im doing now is finishing my class quest , but how do i gear up (besides doing FP / HM / OP) ?
