  1. Jesus Christ.. constantly with the complaining about imbalance in PVP..

I am a Powertech in PVP. I have no issues with Assassins, Marauders or any other class or their mirrors. I just play my class well, and know how to counteract them. Play your class more, and complain less. I have no issues and I'm doing fine.

  2. There are a lot of EU servers that are constantly on light regardless what time of the day it is or if it's weekend. It is somewhat a problem as MMOs include interaction with other players and on some servers you can hardly find a HM Flashpoint group.

This is when it's a good idea for players to research which servers are popular in their region and choose wisely. Not just choose a server that has an appealing name.

  3. I really only love this game because of myself being a huge fan of Sci-Fi, and especially the Star Wars scene as a child. This sort of stuff made up my childhood imagination with Lego and stories. And now it's been made a virtual reality for myself and millions of others to share and cherish.

If this wasn't a Star Wars themed game, frankly; I wouldn't be here at all. Not a chance.

  4. I just hate how people say 'WoW Clone' in general. There were Role-Playing games before World of Warcraft. I guess people can't get used to the idea of games that are similar in the regard of a large open world MMORPG that isn't labelled by Blizzard as one of their copyrights.

Best you can do is ignore it, and cherish the knowledge that they're just ignorant.

  5. I didn't really see it as a major event. It's the first event they have done that is major and affects everyone. Consider it a Beta. Seeing though a lot of people were initially frustrated with the outcome of the event; that just means in future those sorts of things will certainly be avoided.
  6. I will give it a 9/10. I actually really loved it. I certainly felt very involved in the main scheme of being a ****** Sith Lord. I loved the interaction with other NPC's which gave my character the impression of extreme dominance and superiority.

The storyline was just fun, powerful, and extremely involving.

  7. Sorcerer is a ranged class. It would be almost idiotic to add melee attacks to a class that is based purely on focusing hate and anger in order to attack foes.

That just like letting mages on WoW wield swords and shields and start tanking. You just don't share it round with classes that don't require it.

If you like the Sith Inquisitor style of play, and the storyline; then just reroll as an Assassin. That should be melee enough for you.

  8. Very strange indeed. Myself while leveling my Sorcerer (no difference in storyline or quest variation); I done all the quests on a planet (including bonus quests) before leaving, and also doing small amounts of PVP and Flashpoints here and there; and I managed to come out with Yellow Quests (on par with my level +-1), or even green quests on my new arrival to another planet.

Do you do any Flashpoints or PVP at all? That might be an issue. I think Bioware expect us to interact with players a bit more. Whether it be competitively or in a teambuilding environment.

  9. I am a big lover of PVP and raiding. I chose my setup carefully based on numerous factors including what my guild needed, and what I enjoy doing.

    1. I rolled my Bounty Hunter as a Powertech. Mainly just due to the raw damage we deal in a consistent environment. For example; in PVP I find myself easily mowing down numerous opponents with ease. They stand no chance. And when it comes to PVE; I have no issues soloing mobs, and taking out both Strong, and Elite enemies. I also have the flexibility to swap to a tanking spec, therefore being a hybrid player within my guild. We already have spots filled.

    2. I chose to do Armourtech, Scavenging, and Underworld Trading. I chose to do these just due to what my guild needed again. We had nobody with maxed Armourtech, and nobody who was willing to craft for clansmembers. They all work well together as Armourtech allows me to create my own gear while I level. This just means I can make great looking pieces, and spend my Planets Commendations on more important and beneficial things. I also chose Scavenging and Underworld Trading together; as they work well in conjunction with each other to create a very reliable and efficient leveling style.

    That's just me.

  10. No, please stop!

    Don't post it. NO!

You're making me wish for stuff that will never happen.. it is Bioware afterall. It's almost like asking Blizzard to get rid of Panda's and Pokemon and replace them with Sith Lords.. as epic as it would be.

On a side note, I love the OP suggestions for expansion changes so far. They look really good already. Though I'm primarily a Powertech, I would love to see some of your suggestions for one of em :p

  11. Mako just makes me cry. I prefer a companion that isn't opinionated and annoying.

This is why I loved my Xalek on my Sorcerer. He was such an obedient young fellow. Opened his mouth when necessary ^_^

  12. I don't really mind the armour as a whole; but the helmets throughout most armour types are bloody horrendous. The only ones I actually like are the republics Heavy gear. Apart from that they just look crappy.

I would love to see more gear that looks like the Bounty Hunter War-Hero PVP gear. That actually looks really good, oppose to the disgusting looking Battlemaster Gear.

  13. So far I'm finding it rubbish. I have however only just started Tatooine; but I just can't see the enjoyment and compelling nature of the storyline. It's not compelling compared to say the Sorcerers storyline, and I think it's intent is a bit.. *****.

That's just me. I like a storyline that get's the user really involved. Lets you make strong decisions and feel like you are involved. Not just playing along in a big game (the Great Hunt).

    3/10

  14. How dare you accuse these players of being bad. They are obviously highly skilled players if they're able to have the conscience to blame an entire team for the loss. Obviously they carry the team every time they win so they definitely know what they're talking about!

Yeah, I see this a lot. Drives me nuts to see the arrogance, and not to mention the ignorance of some of the players in SWTOR. Makes me depressed. I thought I left WoW to leave this childish crap? Guess people never change; just the games do.

  15. I have noticed no major screwing in the PVP aspect of things. I'm playing a pretty steady Powertech and seem to be absolutely annihilating in Warzones. I can't say the same for Mercenaries though. They never seem to top anymore.
  16. They're too bony...

Since we're on the subject of Khem. How do you gear him at lower levels?

I'm lvl 12 so just starting with him. How long before you have t buy gear or a new sword for him?

You never, never buy gear for your companions or yourself. It's such a waste of money. You get all the gear you need from missions (aim for oranges); then you just upgrade the individual components with commendations.

  17. The major issue here really. The story is never changed. That would damage the gameplay a lot and create some major confusion in my opinion. This is a game of chain events. Every decision has an effect on future decisions and play. Small quests are changeable, whereas the main quest is not.

Also, it's just per character. Twi'lek were typically a slave race (after playing a few of them).

Just absorb the insults and fuel your darkside >:D

  18. I certainly agree with this. I was leveling my Republic Character when I first started the game and leveled through Taris at about level 15. Seen no Imperial players so I was just like 'bugger'.

Played my Imperial Character and was horrified to find that Imperials head to Taris at level 30. Where is the PVP?

This is a game about war and rivalling ideologies. Why do we only get to fight when the game permits it? All out war isn't sanctioned and instanced.

  19. I have never noticed this, and I do quite a bit of PVP. I have played on both my Imperial, and my Republic classes and I play very well on both. I guess you might not have a very good sense of PVP mechanics (not intended as an insult).

Using my Sorcerer I get ***** so easily, less I can get my shield, CC, and decent shots out fast enough. We're also a very immobile class which means a lot of our spells are casts. Just run behind us and unless we're fast enough, the spells just get cancelled.

Could also just be that some of the games you're in are premades, therefore the players may not only just be skilled, but working closely in conjunction with one another.
