  1. I still think you need more detail. In what way do we feel combat medic and assault aren't up to snuff compared to other trees? "Seem to be underperforming" is very vague and invites the answer "according to our metrics, they aren't".

On PVP, the second you say "no reason to bring us over <ranged DPS>", they'll bring up electronet and that will be the end of it. Why isn't electronet powerful enough on its own to justify having no other real utility? They used to use off heals as an example of why we didn't need an interrupt. They used to use God only knows what justification for why we didn't need an in-combat rez. They'll use electronet and hold the line as examples of us not needing any more utility buffs whatsoever.

On ammo management you need to be specific again. Keep hammering the point that older set bonus does the same or better DPS as the new set bonus, strictly because of the easier ammo management, till they get it.

Finally, my big issue besides ammo is with the myriad of our abilities whose benefit to usability ratio is way way way WAY off. There's no excuse in the world for Plasma Grenade to cost a third of our ammo, or for Tech Override and Reserve Powercell to be on two minute cooldowns when they affect only one ability. The general issue here is how MANY of our abilities gained from the trainer are so lackluster. Then you go into exacting detail about why they chose the cost and/or cooldown they did with those abilities.

Treat the devs as the enemy. Give them absolutely no wiggle room, Combat medics know how they're underperforming. Assault players know its problems. Every gunnery commando out there knows about the ammo issues. Assume the devs know nothing. Assume they just threw a dart at effects and costs and cooldowns and called it a day like lazy incompetents.

    This guy knows whats up.

  2. Please by all means, GATHER ALL BODYGUARDS! I want to hear their feedback as well

Ill copy paste what i posted on a commando thread:

Bodyguard is not completly broken, it doesnt need new abilities or anything, just a few fixes on the existing ones.

    - Kolto Shell is horrible as it is right now, perhaps having it increase the armor on whoever its currently on would help, or make it so you can put it on more than 1 person at a time (like 3 or more). Heck, make it heal more and it would be something. This ability needs love, thats a fact.

    - One of the biggest issues is ammo management, so maybe making emergency scan restore ammo/vent heat like the 36 point ability for tank powertechs would help a bit.

    - I do not understand why Kolto Missile has a 4 target limitation. Make the ability Kolto Pods (so only healers get this) increase the targets for the initial hit of the heal (up to 8 targets).

I believe these 3 changes would improve merc healing a bit, enough to compete with the other 2.

  3. I feel like you guys are not giving combat medic the attention it needs. Yes, Assault spec is not viable at the moment, but at least we have 1 other dps spec that works somewhat. So i think our priority should be around our healing spec being fixed, then we can worry about Assault spec.

    - Trauma Probe is horrible as it is right now, perhaps having it increase the armor on whoever its currently on would help, or make it so you can put it on more than 1 person at a time (like 3 or more). Heck, make it heal more and it would be something. This ability needs love, thats a fact.

So perhaps, making questions regarding these issues would be beneficial to our class. Just my 2 cents.

  4. Is Ion Cell worth using? You lose the extra ammo and speed. And, do you run with a shield then?

I personally never went back to tactics cell after i tried with Ion, the survivability is too damn great to pass up (plus guard). That being said, the ammo management requires more hammershots than usual, which some players dont like. The speed loss isnt even noticeable.

    No shield.

  5. Are you a tank? How do you get those prot numbers without guard?

If I'm taunting around 100K with sonic missile, I'm usually happy with it.

    Tactics on Ion Cell.

100k prot on taunts only is good, you should be happy with it.

  6. Like it was already mentioned here, theres a proc where you double cast for 30% the dmg of the original TK wave.

As for the TK itself, you can double cast it if your instant proc is almost gone and you use Turbulance+TK wave, you will get the instant proc again and be able to cast TK Wave for the second time.

Nothing to see here, move along.

  7. I only cced the commando and didn't do dmg to anyone. I was interrupteed about 3 sec after tapping. So the relic wouldn't have a chance to procc at all.

He meant the Commando's relic, the one that procs a tiny dmg, that was triggered by his electro net (that relic proc dmg interrupts caps). Which is likely to be the case, since you yourself said it got interrupted 3 seconds in, electro net would have ticked many times in those 3 seconds.

  9. Sorcs/sages get the hp sap for resource because they dont have any other means of obtaining more force. Like the cooldown agents/mercs have that instantly gives you more resource. *flies away*

If its bothering you that much, just heal them as they sap their own hp, that will make them mad.

  10. so... I pvp'd for the first time tonight since 1.4 went live. For the last two days I've read a LOT of negativity about the powertech changes.

"QQ I can't kite as well"

"QQ my I can't start attacking from a distance"

"QQ give us back our range"

Well, am i the ONLY powertech that now uses both thermal detonator and explosive dart in my rotation now that they aren't on the same cooldown? Because while I hear (well, read) a bunch of QQing, I notice my dps going even higher O_o

Yes, you are the only one.

    You are the chosen one.

    It is your destiny.

  11. Ill just tell you what i do, if thats ok.

    Run this spec: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201Zfc0MoMZfrcRsMkMc.2

affliction > recklessness > death field > shock > force lightning untill madness procs > crushing darkness

Thats your initial rotation, after that use death field whenever its off cooldown, force lightning as filler, crushing darkness whenever madness procs, reaply affliction when necessary, use lightning strike with madness proc if crushing darkness is on cooldown, shock for little burts.

  12. I understand what you're saying. Although honestly it's not that different form what we have now then. You get medals for damage and kills. So that's why we have people 1 v 1'ing everything and ignoring objectives. At least if they were going to try and farm medals at least they will be directly contributing to the team.

As for the Commando who thinks he's Arian Foster, he will learn very quickly it would be much easier for him to get passer medals than running medals. I hate when people pass the ball to my Commando especially if there is no one to pass to. I just have no way to effectively move the ball other than bubble up, hit Adrenaline Rush hope someone gets open soon. Obviously there will be some thick headed folks trying to do things they just can't do. We see that now. We shouldn't try to base any ideas we have for the game on the square peg/round hole crowd, if that's the way they treat the game now that's the way they'll do it when any changes come down.

I'd also love to add any ideas that anyone else has to the OP. So something catches my eye I'll be sure to add it and credit you. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Well yes that is true, but what i meant was being able to complete dailies/weeklies from those new medals alone like you suggested. The big rewards (coms) would prove too tempting for people to work as a team.

    Just my 2 cents.

  13. Those are excelent ideas, but somewhat very flawed if you think about it objectively. You see, if these new medals were part of dailies/weeklies you would have people completly ignoring the objectives and ultimately losing the game for your entire team (i.e. commandos running the ball to get the medals, knowing they are the worst class to do so, thus dying and losing the match, among other silly scenarios.)

What im saying is, if you reward players for doing specific stuff that their class was definitely not meant to do, it would encourage sellfish behaviour and ruin many peoples days. I'm all for those additional end stats, but rewarding them? No thanks.

  14. Seriously, i do not think they play this game at all.

They should have just reduced the resolve gain from stockstrike instead...

As for additional cc, giving sticky grenade a slow effect on everyone it hits would have been better and made more sense.

Now commandos lost their biggest utility in huttball (knocking someone off the catwalk every 9 seconds), lost our ability to interrupt masterstrikes and lightning strikes from assassins/shadows.

gg Bioware, looks like my valor 90 commando will finally retire. Apparently nerfing the worst class in the game in every update sounded like a good idea.
