  1. Currently the subscription is based on game time/days, I think we'd find more subscriber's if the days only counted if you logged onto the game.

For instance if you bought 30 days on Monday and played on Monday you'd have 29 days left, if you didn't play on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday you'd still have 29 days etc etc.

It would make a big difference for players like myself who struggle to find time outside of work, family and social life, and even when I find time, I would 90% be too tired to play.

    Any opinions?

Can you give an example of where this *really* happens?

I saw a guy named B0B in Tatooine, doing Jedi stuff and I wanted to mush his face like Jedi Master Yonlach & his tonk Padawan.

So you want to make all phases PVP?

    Hard pass.

World phases yes, imagine the fun carnage. Imagine the Sith Vs Jedi battles we could have on Tatooine, with the twin suns setting in the background, the victor sipping juma juice and smoking a death stick on the beach?

I think DS wants the studio to make them not phase-walled.

Nah I'm not really bothered by the story phases, I mean the actual world/environment phase. No more PVE just PVP.

You can already do that: go to pvp instance.

I had a clown jumping at me on a daily area today (pvp instance). I stealthed out and swapped to pve instance so that clown wouldn't bother me anymore. Didn't even get my scoundrel face mushed into anything, but I guess that guy forgot to read the memo about "long live the empire". :)

Oh I know but its dead because people are wossy. It may be, because I originated from a PVP server before the merges.

P.s. Maybe me, maybe not me. I did try smashing a Han Solo lookalike...

  3. Wait for this latest gen of Ryzen to release because it’ll no doubt have a result on the market pricing.

It’s either Intel or Ryzen. It’s either Nvidia or AMD. Take your pick.

(Personally for what I use my PC for Ryzen is better for me however Nvidia is better for me also.

Motherboard I stick with Asus. M.2. Samsung, I did buy a backup Patroit Viper which isn’t bad price per performance.

PSU’s I always go for EVGA bronze or higher.)

RGB and water cooling is personal taste.

  4. Personally I like this idea although I’m a troll so I know why I’d find it fun.

I’d rather no PVE open worlds as that’s one of the most stupidest elements in this game, to me it just doesn’t make sense being a Sith, fighting Jedi throughout my story and yet a player Jedi I have to walk past. It just doesn’t make sense.

I think Chief Keith should remove the PVE world phases.

  5. Ultimately, the concept of an ability with charges that *also* has a cooldown is critically flawed. Recharge abilities should be spammable subject to still having charges and the limits imposed by GCD. (Er, and any other special restrictions, incluing Force Leap/Force Charge's minimum range.)

Alternative: abiltiies should have recharges *or* a cooldown, but not both.

Not entirely true, issue is that the cooldown and the recharge timer doesn’t correspond with one and other, problem is that if they made the recharge timer reflect the cooldown of the already said ability it would fix this issue.

However i don’t know if all recharge timers are tied meaning if it did reflect or so to speak followed the rules of the cooldowns and alacrity would it not break the game by making all abilities with the charge system OP.

  6. It’s completely fubar and I believe 99% of problem has to do with them putting that timer animation hand on it. They need to remove that and see if that fixes it.

Or just change the utility point to be like Marauders. I remember when 6.0 released the original utility was bugged, whether you reused Force charge in the time frame or not.

  7. Deception seems to be (and should be) highest parsing spec at the next patch if everything stays the same. But would you still take it? that's a hard question still imo.

    Lmao.

Why should deception be the highest parsing?

DPS roles goes like this (highest to lowest) DoTs, Quasi, Burst.

DPS specs without off-heals from other supporting roles and their ranges.

    E.g. Marauder > Sniper > Juggernaut, Assassin, Powertech & Operative > Mercenary > Sorcerer.

Hatred is far more fun and better once you equip DK Set Bonus and QE Tactical since 6.1.1

  8. Totally the Juggy tank set bonus was way better, but in general they all was better however it would be possible if they just change the 2 piece set bonus to their generic stat boost.

I’d especially like them to add main and off-hands to set bonuses to spice up gameplay allowing better mix and match, of course they’d have to add weapons to outfit designer so no one gets pissy lol

  9. A few character slots.

Then the rest on crates to open and sell those items.

I don’t really need anything in game, tbh I already got plenty and all I want most from lucky RNG crates.

I’m currently at 892m sitting in legacy bank and want to hit 1B, I did do a purchase with credits for the Mandalorian tracker set for 25m for my new PT but I kind of regretted somewhat lol

  10. Been getting the same, normally I have 18-23ms (Virgin Media top bundle) at the current moment I’m at 38+ms.

I used Pingplotter and it seems to be from Dublin to the server as the problem.

    From hop 8 to server.

    4.69.153.230

    213.242.106.234

    159.153.72.252

Additional notes I’m from London, and all the trace route here is what I’d normally get in ms lag, but from this Dublin spot there is a lot of spikes which happen.

  11. I did some crafting at the start, when stuff was going for crazy credits, but once it crashed, I stopped. I thought about doing the aaugs, but haven't bothered even looking for the schematics, not even sure where they drop from...lol

    Augments new schematics don’t drop.

Trainer has the schemes and you reverse engineer the augment to get a chance to get a better scheme.

Top tier augments are pointless unless you have thousands of ember mats lying around. I don’t know what it’d weigh up but I’d say the grit teeth tactical is probably the easiest earner.

Augments 76 are easy to craft and cheap but you’d be lucky to earn back the credits for the credits and time spent making them.

Crafting sort of is either for self efficiency or for luck of having a CRIT on crafting a high income item like Grit Teeth which is sweet but is pure luck.

  12. If you can get it through any other in game means, then it isn't P2W.

A few friends of mine play World of Tanks.

One "plugs in his credit card in the slot" and gets the uber ammo rounds out. No muss, no fuss...

You can get the same thing w/o doing that, it just takes longer.

HOW much longer, I don't know. I don't play the game.

The only time that SWTOR really did P2W that affected me was when they put the Tier 7 space pve ship parts on the cartel market.

It didn't last long, but long enough for me to buy a few sets.

That was P2W because those parts are a LONG grind of space PVE tokens.

So is this a case of one rule?

To pay with credits: You need to pay for a subscription.

    Otherwise

    You pay with coins.

That smells of pay to win.

People want to reword it or perceive it differently but tell me where are the margins fair from non paying to paying?

  13. So...this touches on a pet peeve of mine....people's definitions of "pay to win" and that they vary, sometimes quite drastically.

Well I’m going to say it again, paying to enhance your chances of winning is P2W. P2W does not stop at combat by any means and I respect your terminology but I’m not changing it on any basis.

If you can win but you put twice as much effort as the person who paid real money is that not P2W?

  14. Not really, we could argue for 56 pages like another useless thread, but saying it, doesn't make it so.

P2W, is what is says it is, you are paying a fee to win something, give you the edge in WINNING, over someone who hasn't paid. CQ, everyone WINS, wether a sub or not. The only difference, is it takes someone who isn't a sub a little bit longer to WIN. BUT everyone WINS.

That is the definition cited. Paying to receive in game benefits. It’s not solely tied to winning. E.g. Battlefront 2 scandal which was Paying to receive in game benefits, which those benefits help you to win or in other words have an edge over someone else.

  15. It's not a 'flaw'. BW wants people to subscribe. You can't get people to subscribe unless there's some benefit to doing so.

I know there are lots of F2P and Preferred players who would like everything for free, but that doesn't keep the lights on and the servers running. 🙂

Better benefits than forcing people to subscribe to open doors let’s be honest with ourselves here, if people want to subscribe to open doors I’m sure they’ll do it any way. Besides what has doors got to do with conquest?

It’s a flaw if you know the meaning.

Pre-assumptions of F2P and Preferred players at its best. I know players who are that spend more on coins than I do for my subscription every month. Never assume you know what they want or how they benefit the game, otherwise we can take a step back into 5.X when the game was dying because they pushed their player base whatever model they was away.

  16. It's not a flaw at all. The rewards are still there, they're just tied to the same rules as all of the other rewards.

It’s a flaw. If something is tied to the system it should be freely accessible to everyone in other words the system is freely accessible to everyone but the bonus scheme isn’t.

Requiring you to do X but you can’t because of Y than that is a flaw.

If there is only one way to work around a system that is suppose to benefit you and other people that’s a flaw.

Even through subscribing that individual would need surplus of credits stashed to subscribe once to even be on par with anyone else. Basically it is pay to win.
