  1. Not really unless you wanted to min/max your character. But if you dont care about doing raids or anything and just focusing on the story then imo no. I personally just buy some Adaptive gear at lv 10 and buy new upgrades for it every 8 levels all the way up to level cap. That will get you through anything the story has to offer for pretty cheap.
  2. Lana, Theron, Koth, or Arcann. There are several NPS you can flirt with, but none of them become a romance. You can't initiate a romance with any of the cross class comps that can be romanced during the story, and none of the as yet returned Knight comps were made player-sexual.

Not a lot of female options lol, thanks for reply. I guess Lana it is..although I don't know how relationship will work since I'm hardcore lightside, hmm

  3. As a Jedi Knight...I'm looking to start over from scratch since I've given up all hope of Kira ever returning to the game, I need a new love interest. So what I'm asking is..what other females can I romance other than Kira as a Jedi Knight...doesn't matter if I meet them during Kotfe or Kotet or even on Ossus during Jedi Under Seige.
  4. Sooo I just found out that Theron is indeed Satele's son to Jace...

And my mind is BLOWN! The jedi grand master did the naughty! So can anyone tell me how this happened? Like is there a romance story here I can read? Like when did this take place and what are her thoughts on the whole issue with her being a jedi and all.

  5. Your last conversation with Kira should have been about your future legacies and possibly having children. There is also a short quest on Voss after marrying her.

That would be awesome, I actually just received that quest from her so we are about to head to Voss...hopefully after that we can have that convo.

  6. That has no bearing on the progress or lack thereof of the companion's story. Before 4.0 came out three years ago, companion conversations were gated on a combination of Affection and the character's class story progress, but when they dropped Affection in favour of Influence, they removed that link, so that now you progress in the companion story based on (a) your willingness to progress that companion's story(1) and (b) your progression in your character's own story.

    (1) That's always going to be the case for "I can choose to do this" stories.

Ahhh...so influence really has nothing to do whether conversations become available anymore. Interesting...since I already completed my class quest, pretty much all the convos I could have with my companions are done now I'm assuming (since I talked with them all as soon as they became available)

  7. Alright so on my Jedi Knight I married Kira a little before I took down the emperor to complete the Knight Story. And at the end of it the council still promoted me to Jedi Master (which was surprising, I thought Satele would say something but she didn't, I guess we hid our love quite well). Anywhosies...will there be any more conversations for me and Kira? Also is there a way to know if I have any more conversation points for my companions before I start KotFE? I would like to see what all they have to say before I start it. Also Kira is at at Influence rank 22 by the way.
  8. For defense rating, using "optimal" mods is well over whats needed for even guardians (the defense tank). I personally opt for lethal b mods with bastion/bulwark enhancements (all crafted because my luck with the crates is apparently horrible).i use the crafted dps relics with endurance and obviously shield/absorb augs.

For my guardians my shield ends up being about 2k, with fairly balanced shield and absorb, slightly favoring shield.

My shadow is still running 230 gear because I dont play him enough to bother throwing a full optimized set together. (I.e. if I'm running unbolstered content, its on my guardians or VG, shadow being my least favorite tank personally).

Edit: i noticed you didn't mention absorb in your final question. For guardians generally def > shield > absorb but in reality def rating is well over what is needed. Make shield and absorb close, favoring shield, and you'll be fine for most content.

Ahhh..interesting, thanks for the input cause I'm not sure what I'm doing as far as building him is concerned. And I didn't really mention Absorb rating cause...well if my Shield rating is so low than if I had an awesome Absorb rating then it wouldn't matter cause I would rarely absorb any blows so I just assumed Shield Rating was what you would want.

But ok...go for for Defense Rating mostly and keep Shield and Absorb close. Gives me something to go for.

  9. I have a Jedi Guardian AND a Jedi Shadow as tanks. Do I need to build them differently or the same really? What stat should I focus on...Endurance, Shield Rating, or Defense Rating?

PS: Which one is better to stack more of..Shield Rating or Defense Rating?

  10. But having said that I think that Nadia could be very interesting when she returns. She'll be 35 years old, she's had to be on her own without the JC, and hopefully she will have grown a lot. I could see how the romance or SGR with her could be reasonable and not at all weird at that point.

Wait...what?? I haven't finished the class story yet but what happens to Nadia and why is she away from me for so long? I dont care if you spoil it.

  11. It's complicated.

In the War on Iokath segment that follows after Knights of the Eternal Empire, you are railroaded by the narrative structure into aligning/allying yourself with one of the two factions. (During Knights of the Fallen Empire and Knights of the Eternal Throne, you end up being "Commander" of a sort of "third faction".) You can choose whichever faction suits your internal narrative for the character.

At the end of the Nathema Conspiracy segment (some time after War on Iokath), you are presented with another opportunity to decide, and you can change your mind. This occurs at the very end of the story that has been released so far, so it's really just a choice, with no current consequences.

In the up-coming 5.10 update (next month), you will be able to choose *again*, and this choice "sticks". If you choose to align yourself against your home faction, according to the livestream of a few weeks ago, you become a "Saboteur" who works for the nominal enemy from within the ranks of the home faction. (e.g. Your Jedi can be a secret Empire sympathiser who goes on missions ostensibly "for" the Republic, but in reality working to promote the Empire's agenda.)

Ahh, this is wonderful! Can't wait for the 5.10 update! Thanks for answering my question.

  12. I apologize if this question has been asked a billion times already.

I know it doesn't show up in the class stories but maybe in the expansions...does it ever let your light side Sith turn Jedi or at least work for the Republic in secret?? Or Vice versa ? Can my dark side Jedi eventually work for the Empire in secret or turn Sith? I know it's impossible to switch sides but is there a story scene somewhere in the expansions that further explore this or allow this to happen??

  13. I wouldn't romance Nadia during the Class Story itself, the dynamic is icky, and she comes off as 16 instead of her actual 22. But

Nobody objects if you romance her during the class story, at all!

I doubt it will matter at all.

What you mean "not during the class story" ...can I romance her after the class story? Should I avoid talking to her to not start any convos?

  14. Hello All, first time playing through JC and I will get Nadia soon. I understand that at the end of the JC story I get a council seat. Now if I decide to romance Nadia will I still be able to join the counsel? What consequences will there be if I do romance her vs not romancing her? Also is it even worth it? Does she make a cute/neat waifu? comments please
  15. Hey Guys! Fairly new and returning player. Never finished a complete play through. And I was wondering if a Jedi going down the dark side could become a Sith or join the imperial army. Or vice versa with a Sith going down the light side to eventually become a Jedi and joining the rebels/Jedi council.
