I'm fine with the super awesome reward being set at a low bar to encourage people to do ranked. However, there should be something, even if it is minor, to reward the dedicated pvpers. It's discouraging to the people who have been queuing for months and reached 1500 within the first day/week.

I was most amazed by the magnificent beast Dingulberry.

Any update on when a fix is coming?

Goto town. Goto barbershop. Change all your facial features for in game credits.
You can only change hair, hair color, and piercings for in-game gold. Full appearance re-customization costs $15 in WoW and $25 for a race change.
-
I think you actually have to log into the game and go to the vendor to see it but you could also try checking their forums.
Burden of proof is on your end sir. You've already been flat out wrong in your claim that "Appearance Change" for $15 outdated.
-
Note: Appearance Change is for a FULL Appearance Change, allowing you to change everything. You can do Jewelry, Face, Hair, etc. on a one off basis in-game for gold according to several of my friends who keep trying to convince me to come back to WoW.
I don't see anything about doing it for in-game gold, nor is it coming up in google search, so I very much doubt that. Feel free to correct me as I don't play the game anymore, but it needs to be from a better source than your friend However, I clearly see them charging $15 for it on my WoW account screen.

Most are speaking about WoW's barbershop that allows very minimal changes for gold, hairstyle, hair color and horns/facial hair only. But again it's a sub only model and would be completely different if they offered it to F2P.
The guy I quoted implied that in WoW, the only appearance changes that cost money are race changes. There wasn't any ambiguity considering it was a direct response to my "Appearance Change FAQ" link.
I actually agree that allowing subscribers to change their hair style/color would be perfectly reasonable. Problem is, It gets lost in the hyperbolic demands that subscribers shouldn't have to spend cartel coins on *anything*.
-
Why do people keep on quoting that? It's old info. Only Race change costs real money now.
And THIS is how BARBERSHOP should be done.
I have no problem paying real money for new options, but paying for access to existing options is just wrong.
BS. Just logged into my WoW account and they still offer "Appearance Change" for $15. "Race Change" is $25.
For me, TOR is just like WoW.See above. It costs $15 in WoW. A game that uses a pure subscription model and does not give any stipend.

So I can log into WoW and completely re-customize my character's appearance? They might have now lumped "re-customization" into "race change" but their barbershop was *only* for hair styles.
I quit WoW a few years ago but it definitely cost real money back then to do anything outside of hair style changes.
-
WoW is a pure-subscription game and it costs money to re-customize.
How much does this service cost?A single Appearance Change costs $15 (plus applicable taxes). This flat fee covers all customization options available for a single character.

Nobody would be able to know except Bioware.
If you feel strongly about it.... /report and move on. Let Bioware security review and address.
This stuff cannot be effectively prosecuted in a gaming forum.
Why would I do that when it's a source of cheap unlocks/boosts?
-
Sales/Value of customizable gear on the GTN would significantly increase if the augment/mod extraction system wasn't so outrageously expensive. The vast majority of players can't afford to switch armor pieces after they've augmented one set.
I fully understand that the augment system promotes crafting and works as a credit-sink., but it's completely overkill and should be revised.
-
Do these unlocks have a 36 hour bind time?
I've also seen unlocks sold way under reasonable CC -> credit conversion ratio. It doesn't happen with packs or gear. The people who advertise massive quantities of cheap XP boosts on fleet chat don't seem to know much English too.
My guess is they are being sold by accounts that are botted/hacked and trying to make quick credits.
-
Apples to oranges.
You're comparing GW2's hot-join system which uses a similar system to FPS games with continual map cycling. Try their free tournament PvP mode (which isn't like ranked and can be solo queued) which starts a fresh game when enough people are queued.
Prime time on Bastion the queues are 1-2 mins long. It only gets to 10 minutes after 4 am+ server time.
-
I would like this also, I might be wrong but I think you can get Green upgradable equipment so why not armour etc.
The droid gear is green and moddable, as are most of the weapons.
-
Man, I don't think ANYONE takes RWZ as seriously as this guy.
And I play with Kand and Ryere, that's saying something.
lol, reminds me of people quoting Waka's posts.
-
I kept Kaliyo's Vest and the rest of his original gear for this reason and hoped sometimes it becomes moddable.
Concerning weapons, Qyzen's first technoblade (which look like a staff) is still not moddable.
The idea I got was to put a vendor in the fleet, next to trainers who are able to sell empty-moddable versions of all companions gear from quest rewards, as well as customisations (instead of the vendors on some planets). Obviously gear that don't affect the companion's apparence wouldn't be sold (Khem Val's armors, Broonmark's armors, Qyzen's gloves helmets and boots, Tanno Vik's helmets...)
Yup, the companion starter gear feels iconic to their character. I've gotten to the point where I don't even upgrade their gear anymore.
-
Yes please! I hate mods (addons) and I completely agree with SWTOR not supporting them. For the most part, the UI is sufficient enough for me not to miss any mods. The big exception to this is a recount style feature.
I think I would have gotten bored and quit the game if PvP didn't have a scoreboard at the end.
-
Can the starter/quest reward gear for companions be changed to moddable? Those outfits keep companions' appearance unique, rather than looking like just another player controlled character.
I believe you've changed companion weapons to be moddable at some point after release. It would be great if you did the same with their gear. Also, for those people that have sold the gear already, offer the companion gear for commendations. Of course, it goes without saying that the gear will still be companion restricted and not a cheap way to get sets of customizable gear for the player controlled character.
-
Doubt it. At least not initially. There are story elements tied to gender.
-
Isn't the JK potentially the most powerful character in SWTOR by the end of the class story. The scope of the story and the quality of the opponents just seems unrivaled compared to the other stories I've played.
Don't get me wrong, the JC also feels powerful, but in more of a specialized way. Not nearly up to the JK in overall fighting prowess.
-
BW, can you at least give priority for transferring character names over inactive accounts and F2P?
There really needs to be a name releasing policy going forward.
-
Good news for me and other late night players. Bad news for all of the Aussie players that wanted to keep their low ping.
I hope BW at least purges inactive character names and gives priority to the Aussies over F2P names.
-
Guessing that nothing materialized last night?
Yup, Waka didn't respond to Bodies' texts when I asked him on stream.
Rewards for the Top 5 Players of each class?
