[What spec for sniper leveling?]

I have a level 48 sniper and have found the marksmanship spec to be good for both leveling and PVE.

Personally, I like the combat tree the most - but thats just me

No matter what anyone replies with, there will always be someone who disagrees. This is a topic that is left very much to personal opinion.

 

I find that BioWare do an great job at creating story lines that flow and hence the game will be affected accordingly no matter what choices you make.

If you're a sniper then I would say the Marksmanship Tree - It works well with both PVP and PVE (In my humble opiniton )

If you're an operative, i know the concealment tree is extremely good for PVP but i'm not sure about PVE - I'll leave that for someone else to answer as I only have a sniper.

[hybrid build]

I've found that going up the combat tree give you a reasonably good balance between PVP and PVE.

[Tanking as Jedi Sentinel?]

I managed to tank some HM flashpoints but we had extremely good heals (and I was using an endurance stim).

 

Short answer: it is possible but i wouldn't really recommend it
