  1. Here's the way the math works unless it's been changed.

Thanks for the segue! Let me blow your minds :rak_03:

My understanding of the system is that all of our boosts will multiply from the new base of 200%, so now is the perfect time to get those Legacy perks and XP boosts. I will show you why.

Let's say you planned to level during the March to Makeb entirely through... Flashpoints.

    200% base experience

    +25% Flashpoint Boost

    +30% Flashpoint Legacy perk

*THIS BONUS DOES NOT STACK WITH RESTED EXPERIENCE

Since both of the boosts are being applied to double base XP, they are also doubled. Do you know what that means?!

+310% bonus experience! That is over triple the experience. Enjoying your leveling my friends!

TLDR, yes they stack and for the math nerds it is multiplicative on top of the new base of 200% (assuming I understood it all correctly)

So really, you could buy any/all legacy perks and do whatever you want, but I've seen KDY as a popular choice(except for the time it didn't give any xp at all during a 2x xp event :p)

  2. 12x for class missions or 2x for absolutely everything?

I'd love for 12x to make a comeback, but until it does, I'll certainly take 2X where I can get it.

Exactly. I like the 2xp because it applies to everything and not just class stories. I can choose any way to level during 2x XP events and options are good :)

  3. I believe that there can be a lifetime sub in this game, but something would have give so BW can still make a profit. My suggestion would be to charge a one time $150-$200 fee to have a lifetime sub with all the perks as are currently in game with the exception of the CC stipend every month.

IIRC, it was stated that the majority of CM sales came from subs. If that's true, giving a lifetime sub with free CC's every month would eat in to their profits. Taking away this stipend would encourage the lifetime subs to continue purchasing CC's while the normal subs would be trading a few extra bucks per year for free CC's. This may strike a middle ground so-to-speak so everyone wins.

Edit: To clarify, the normal subs would still have their monthly stipends while the lifetime subs would not.

  4. They have scaling issues with Assault Cannons too. They could reduce every one of them by about 20% and they'd still look naturally sized. I like the holographic idea too, or do something like with helmets where they can be hidden when not in use.

Another thing I just thought about is that when you have this mount, the assault cannon can hang from the side of it. The animation for holstering wouldn't even have to change. They could just add a hook to the side of the jet pack or some type of sling. Not the prettiest solution, but it may open more avenues for the devs to remedy some of the clipping issues in the future.

Lol, or the trooper's could ride their assault cannons :D

  5. Yeah but... that's pretty much true for any trooper with an assault cannon unless he is wearing one of those skimpy dancer outfits ;)

    That's true :)

What BW could do to make it look maybe, possibly, a tiny bit better is have the assault cannons either not holster at all or have them center on the back so they could potientially blend with the jet pack. Or release a holographic assault cannon that folds into your pocket or something :D

  6. The scale is entirely off. Please don't try to justify it with ridiculous assumptions...it's far too flippin big and it looks goofy as hell.

I'm not justifying ****. It's not a "ridiculous assumption". Look at the center tank, it's the same size as a normal oxygen tank for scuba diving equipment albeit it has a rounded bottom instead of a flat bottom. It's upper shoulder blades to waist. The jets are right outside the characters hips. I do think the rockets on top are a bit too big, but on a larger body type, they'll look fine.

If you want to say that the scaling is off, fine that's your opinion man. You think it's off....I don't.

What is going to look really bad though, is when a trooper holsters his assault cannon and uses the mount. The clipping will be horrendous.

  7. No more awkwardly sized than all the Trooper backpacks that they add to everything...but yes, it's freaking MASSIVE! FAR too big...hell, at half that size it would look better...the scale is entirely off.

I disagree respectfully. If you consider the purpose of the jet pack mount which is long distance travel, the size is actually more realistic because it requires a larger amount of fuel. Jango/Boba Fett only could do short bursts because their fuel was very limited.

Of course this is a video game so realism doesn't really have to apply in the end.

  8. My apologies :p

Read the post before replying. I don't want to scroll or do anything. Just let it be fixed and allow me to use scroll up and down for skills.

You can try adding a shift+scroll to move the camera back to max so you can still use the scroll wheel for abilites. Yes it's not "fixing" the issue, but until a fix happens(doubt it) it might help you out.

  9. He does have a point...jetpacks are pretty iconic for bounty hunters....it would be like letting anyone wield a lightsaber regardless of skill...

Well, by that logic, nobody should be able to do the Bounty Hunter events except the Bounty Hunters and look how that's turning out.

They're already going in game and they will be clipping into some armors. Just accept it and move on. Be happy they are actually adding things to the game.....even though the devs know people are going to ***** about it anyways.

  10. Maybe they didn't use the same mics and software to record the voice actor this time so we got a lower or higher quality sound, idk.

Personally, I haven't noticed a drastic difference in voice. Unless you're talking about when we hand in the daily quests on Yavin 4...that I have noticed but it's not a cut-scene and you're at a distance anyways.

  11. What do you mean you haven't "met" anyone? Are you saying you haven't seen anyone, period? Or are you saying you haven't had a conversation with some other player personally?

The first 2-3 planets are almost always the most populated in the game so I find it hard to believe you haven't seen any other player in 15 hours of play time.

  12. Do you have player nameplates turned on in preferences? Do you have General chat turned on? Have you gone out of your way to initiate conversations with other players?

You can't expect people to just come to you. You might need to take the initiative sometimes....kinda like real life.

  13. I haven't read all the replies so I don't know if anyone has suggested it, but another trick you could use is to toggle the chat panel down for kid's account when logging them in and then manipulate the interface editor so that the mini-map covers chat pane in case they switch toons briefly before you realised it. It's not exactly a solution as much as a trick like I said, but it is an additional layer of oversight. Also, another tip is to make sure your kids only access the game from like your living room or den (I.e. a high traffic area in your home) and not in bedrooms. Personally we have a open-floor layout to our kitchen and living area and that's where our computers are located with screens all visible

I never thought of that. Close the chat frame with the drop down arrow and hide it behind something so they wouldn't even see the arrow to enable the chat altogether. Brilliant!:)

  14. Propably a known issue. But when you select one of the new hairstyles in Character Creation you cannot preview different faces or body types, forcing you to go back and forth between gender selection and the slider menu.

I've posted about this as well. The work around is to select the new hairstyle absolutely last when customizing. So just find all the attributes you want first, then pick your hairstyle.

That's what's worked for me so far.

  15. While completing this weekly on my Smuggler, I noticed that there is no assault cannon for my alt's Aric Jorgan. I noticed that there is no assault cannon at all. Is this an oversight or tooltip error? Possibly, I'm not seeing it as I'm a smuggler?

Maybe my google skills are lacking but I couldn't find any threads on this.

  16. Love this idea as a Legacy Unlock (nothing to do with Cartel Coins, Subscribers Only!)

You really think they'd give you a Legacy unlock like this with no CC cost? They could add an option for credits, but you know that would only be per character and it would be outrageous.

  17. slicing compared to other gathering crew skills is OP, BW has the metrics pretty sure they know what , hands down, is the most popular crew skill of them all and why. IMO it needs to be brought in line with the others or the others brought in line with it.

I disagree. How would you bring a pure credit earning skill in line with a gathering skill with, say, scavenging?

It could be the most popular skill, sure. The only reason I take slicing on all of my alts is because there is no reason to have more than one alt with Archaeology/Bioanalysis/Scavenging. I have all of that on 1 alt. He gathers everything I need for every profession. The rest of my alts/main have 1 crafting and 1 mission skill+slicing. The way that slicing balances out with the other skills is that you must give up a gathering or mission skill in return. The players that craft and choose to sacrifice one of those to slicing WILL need mats from somewhere else.

Edit: Additionally, if it is the most popular crew skill, then there is more competition therefore making it less "OP"
