  1. I am sure the out cry for repair bills has been sufficent that they will lower the cost again. Personaly I dont have an issue with higher repair bills but I am sure that BW willl fold to the vocal group who want lower bills, I like to think that someone who dies 30 times in an opp and keeps going back is just asking to have wrecked gear. If you die you did something wrong or are just not good enough if you die 30 times you probably should probably call it a night and stop playing. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" Albert Einstine.

Dying 30 times in an ops has nothing to do with sucking. Most guilds are still struggling with Nightmare Kephess. Just the trandoshan phase alone results in wipe after wipe after wipe. This is where some of us are coming in and saying screw that. 200k repair bills for an hour of wipes is too high for me to continue with ops. Nightmare Denova is still difficult.

  2. 44k repair bill from my ops last night. Full 63 DG/Hazmat from just a few deaths. I was at 3/4 durability. If we go to work on Nightmare Kephess like we planned that could be 200k repair for one hour or so of ops. To me, the grinding of dailies is not worth this. I play the game to run ops, not grind dailies to tears, there are a million other games I would rather play than do this.

I'm not poor, I spent a lot of time doing dailies for ops, but now it's mandatory to do them to run those same ops?

There has been a few games that had high repair bugs and it's always ended badly. Why "fix" this bug a year after release? That was shortsighted.

  3. Not sure if it's just myself but I just think certain items need an improvement in their models. For example the Tythonian Force-Master's lightsaber loses it's special effect during/post fight, along with the hologram of the Black-Nebula blaster. I just think some of the effects need to be tweaked and improved, maybe make the Tythonian Saber's effect cover more than 20% of the blades length and intensify the effect further so it's more noticeable.

See the picture below for an example of what I'm talking about.

    Tythonian Effect Glitch

Sadly almost all the weapons are glitched with the exception of the Cannon. The Assault Rifle has the same thing after a fight. The two bladed light saber has one side of the blade constantly go missing (for me it's after every single fight) and the blaster pistol is missing the radar affect. They need to go back and fix all of these as they are almost all broken in some way.

  4. Seriously? Guilds which had this encounter on farm GAVE UP when faced with these new changes?

We haven't even beaten the encounter: we came back in here to try to get our first kill, and ran into the new mechanics. It took us about 3 attempts to work out a reasonable strat, at which point we stopped wiping on this phase and continued to try to finish the encounter.

Tank+sentinel on 1: no calibrations get off ever.

Three dps on 2: no calibrations get off ever, and they move over to 3 when theirs is dead.

Tank on 3: 2-4 calibrations on this one, depending on how the tank+healer combo was doing on interrupts, before the three dps move over and destroy it.

I think we gave up because we just don't care anymore. These changes should have been posted. If it's a new NM mechanic then it should have been posted. If it's a mistake and it's the 16 man mechanic in 8 man then it should have been posted. Why change an op that has been the same way if a NM version is coming soon? We all play other games too. We spent a month trying to take him down and the change just made us not care. I logged and played Borderlands.

  5. HM Kephess 8 man, the first three droids are casting calibrating shot in a new manner. It's making them go immune after 5 or 8 stacks. Even with all of us interrupting we just did not care enough to continue. This could be the NM mechanic or it could be the 16 man mechanic coming into 8 man HM but this change wiped us 3 times when we were killing him reliably for months. There is a whole thread in the FP/OPS forum with no mention from community managers.

The only reason I log in right now is to do ops. The new one is fun but we still clear EC HM because we need 350 BH coms for the implants and such. If you have not tried it since 1.4 give it a whirl. It's a blast. No pun intended.

  6. Tried this last night. We eventually just gave up. I can see this as being doable but we just did not have the will to push on with it. We've been doing this boss for months, the change looks like it was either meant for NM or it got imported from the 16m version. I'm all for new challenges, but at least release NM for this. HM should not have been changed. No word from the devs on this is worry-some.
  7. After reading a lot of the hater posts I just have to wonder about a broade issue. What is it about some segement of gamers that allows them with a straight face to make statements with ZERO evidence or basis in reality?

Even though I agree to a certain extent, the real issue is focus and negativity. They focus on little things that really don't matter if you play and enjoy the game and the negativity will follow. Negativity makes the game environment toxic, this has happened in so many games. Hellgate, Vanguard, the list goes on and on. When people get sick of hearing the negativity they will leave the game for a while. In reality the community is half the issue with the game.

I'm not going to say that game does not have issues. It does seem that every issue people describe on these forums is relatively small and I've never encountered them. The Ilum latency bug I did have, but it was gone the next day. Taking things like this and focusing on them makes you resent the "fun" parts of the game. I also paid for the game, I'm still having fun and I don't regret it at all.

Entitlement is another issue entirely. focusing on things that were said in 2004 is the same as your girlfriend telling you that you were a jerk 10 years ago but bringing it up every 2 hours on the forums. What exactly is the point? I have no idea but it does not help the community and it does not help yourself. If you are doing nothing but complaining, you are not having fun and you are ruining it for other people.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this as it's likely the trolls will just make fun of it. But I'm trying to be honest. The community is half the problem.

    I'm still having fun.
