  1. More focus on world pvp such as more zones where PVP is encouraged, objectives exist and rewards are also vast. There is suppose to be a war going on, but it doesn't really feel like it... Why aren't we fighting over entire planets where cities can be taken and lost to the enemy faction.

    *Idea:

Why not have an entire planet established like Balmora where it is a complete warzone. Republic have their landing zone and Empire have theirs. Between each sides landing zone / "main base" are numerous smaller villages and towns that are capture-able. Each village or town or outpost would be on different types of terrain like one on a large hill with narrow bridges and approach to attack up where knock backs throw players off the cliffs. Others down hill where ranged DPS rain supreme.

Each area that is captured would offer unique specific rewards, mobs to kill and quest or rare equipment to purchase from vendors.

  2. Despite what most people will say, what is "best" just boils down to your playstyle, and if you have fun w/ it.

    Bingo.

You can be a good Veng or a good Rage Jugg, it all depends on if you enjoy playing with or that way.

I have rolled both and found I enjoy the Veng route best. Sure you don't get the 20k of dps when all your Smashs crit for 4k a piece, but that isn't so much my play style. I prefer being the guy who grabs you around the neck and rides your rear. I find veng to be enjoyable, because I'm beefy, attacks like scream can hit for 2-4K, and I can effectively remove healers from the fight. When I charge into the fray, target a healer and stay on his butt, he isn't doing anything but running for his life to avoid light saber sodomy.

  3. Veng spec FTW that hybrid spec is a joke btw.

Indeed, I often wonder how people assume a hybrid build of any kind would out preform a build specific to the 31 talent point abilities which are designed to be primary attacks....

It's like making an ARMS warrior in WOW, but not getting Mortal Strike....

  4. Each ability has an ability type, and a damage type:

The four ability types are Force, Tech, Ranged, and Melee

The four damage types are Internal, Elemental, Kinetic, and Energy

Although there can be any combination of them, they don't all exist.

To find out an ability type, hit P. This will show all of your moves. They will be either Force or Melee if you're a warrior or inquisitor, or ranged and tech if you're a bounty hunter or agent. Force and Tech are 100% accurate. Ranged and Melee are 90% accurate by default. Ranged and Melee also will proc shields, lowering the damage done by the attack of that type.

    Cunning is Tech

    Aim is Ranged

    Willpower is Force

    Strength is melee

Internal and Elemental go right through armor, whereas Energy and Kinetic don't, and their damage is lowered.

For that reason, Energy and Kinetic and Ranged and Melee attacks and combinations suffer the worse penalties (Ei. Snipers, although my sniper still annihilates everyone)

Thank you! You're awesome, helps a lot.

  5. I just dont understand, how you can you say that you dont want cross server PvE queuing (im talking FP and OP, there are obvious issues with quest queuing since that is being rolled up) because they want to focus on server community, but then believe in PvP cross server queuing..

I for one play 'Republic' Sorry :) Ive been playing the drinking game along with the pannel, and its a major disadvantage for PvE content since we are 1 to 6 on the server. If your going to open cross server pvp, then you should allow cross server pve for the same reasons...

I think single server PVE Group finders and multi-server PVP group warzones is brilliant. PVE and Raids need to be more social, not a tool to power level your character as they are in WOW. Questing should be the primary means of leveling while raids are secondary and more social, with a harder social mindset. Face it WOW cross server dungeon finders ruined raiding unless you had a guild to go with. People ninja loot left and right, no one communicates during them and the feeling of actually carrying about your party is gone. (You'll likely never see them again after the raid)...

These feelings aren't as important in PVP where you just want targets to slay.

  6. So I just rolled a Jugg and have been wondering what tree would be best for huge hitting blows. I don't care about survivability, I care about the "big" numbers. Dying over and over has never bothered me, I enjoy crushing someone with enormous hits....

Immortal seems best for this, because it has Crushing blow...

    however...

Vengeance seems to have a more suitable tree for actually killing the target due to a high number of bleed affect as well as Shien form and its 31 point attack is only a 9sec cool down.

From those who have played the Jugg at a higher level, what do you find to be more rewarding in the "large" hit arena?

  7. Yeah, this is going to make me quit - I have friends who are rolling on the new server and I want to play with them - having to wait almost two freaking months to play with my friends without rolling a new character is beyond retarded. Possibly the stupidest thing you've done bioware, and you've done a lot. Talking to people on my server theres a LOT of people very, very angry about this. Oceanic servers will be a ghost town a lot earlier if this happens - since everyone will straight up quit.

If your friends are re-rolling new characters, why not join them? Leveling in this game isn't that hard and unlike other MMO's is rather enjoyable.

  8. Only earning valor for first 4 medals? That seems kind of lame, doesn't it? What's the point of even attempting to get more medals, then?

The medals are there as a bonus, the objective is to win.

  9. I just switched over to a High Energy Cell spec, I have found that I still last about as long as I did with Ion cell, but I am doing substantially more damage. On average I am getting about 300-500 more damage a hit. Where I used to see 1300's, I'm seeing 1800's. Where I used to see 500's I'm seeing 800's.

Although I still get more kills with harpoon and fire or acid pits then I do with any attack ;)

  10. I don't get why they won't answer this question on their weekly 10, other than they're too scared to address it. Clearly they expect everyone to just reroll and people who don't reroll, they'll ask them to pay $25 per toon to transfer later on. Then 3 months later, they'll do merges. Just watch.

    • Let people reroll
    • Milk players for transfer fees
    • Merge Servers

They don't even need to answer it, merging servers can't be that hard. They could do it during an extended maintenance. There are WAAAAAY to many servers for this game and closing a couple down would help spread out the populations...

  11. Frankly I don't get why they don't just merge a handful of the low population servers? How hard is it to close the lowest population west coast (pvp, pve, rp, rppvp) servers, then merge them with their next lowest population counter part on the west coast? Then do the same for the east coast? If someones name is already taken for their character make them get a new one...
  12. I think it is very likely too late.

PvP is made by the community. There have to be other Ps to have PvP.

With the mass exodus from this game that has already happened, it might not matter at this point. If there is no player base, it doesn't matter how awesome 1.2 may or may not be.

Hmm what mass exodus do you speak of? We still have que's to log in on SwiftSure
