  1. EA makes good games, it's their practices with said games that is in question.

I'm hoping EA picks up on some good Star Wars games like Battlefront, Empire at War, and the Jedi Knight series and does some good reboots/new games.

I also hope they experiment on some new ideas.

I agree, looking forward to what the future might hold for both new games and movies, Star Wars will once again rule the galaxy :)

  2. Yeah.... no. You've been lied to son. Crashes don't come with a 15 minute warning.

Those crashes don't even give Bioware a notice..LOL Sometimes things go boom, with no warning, the intern hit the powerplug with the vacum again..

I wish i lived in a world some of these players seem to live in where nothing goes wrong all is rosey, and sunshine all day.. the real world is full of surpises :D

  3. Engine limitations & cost to implement are two massive factors that make this a no-go. No matter how nice it sounds.

The high light above, I think is the core reasons this game does not have a lot of stuff, and will never amount to much more than it is now, which is really sad, I hear the dev's say little things about performance, and admitted the engine will not handle large amounts of players in the same sector, which really makes me wonder how bad the so called hero engine has this game gimped, I think hero engine = zero engine..LOL

One of the great mysteries of the modern world, why did a game with such a huge budget cheese on the engine, I am sure it was a money issue, but it has almost cost them game../sigh

Thing is I am huge fan, of this game, but I have to let it go for now and hope down the road they get it together..:(

  4. I liked some of your ideas OP, but I wonder, if our squatty 14.99 a month sub really matters that much anymore, when you have people spending 3 times that amount every week, just seems like our sub does not have the weight it used to, My sub ends on 5/3 I did not renew, because I feel with the way they are using the cartel store, I no longer get my money's worth, and having 24/7 service is not enough, for me, I can get that free now, and yes I know all the limits, but to me at this point the game is not even worth playing for free for me and my opinion for my play only.

I will take a peek over here once in awhile to see whats going on, but I have a feeling this game will never be more than it is now :( I was a huge fan of this game that's the real sad part..

  5. to bad they don't have a hood toggle, you would have that, that would hve been a given, and since the hero engine can not take adding more quests to the journal because it might cause performance issues, makes me wonder if this is another feature the hero engine can not handle,, I am sure there is more to it than it seems, I am surprised they have not added hood toggle to the cartel store, everything else goes there../shrug
  6. There are so many great ideas in these forums for this game from the fans, problem is 90% of them could never see the light of day because of the Hero engine, want to have a good game that may bring in more players, and take Tor out of being a laughing stock in the gaming world to a real contender you need to fix the engine, it needs to allow for a robust game with many diverse game play options, like open world dynamic pvp, pod racing, swoop racing, building your racers, some sandbox elements that lets your toon feel like it lives in the world and not just playing though it, cross server races and pvp, cantina games, and much much more, this is the Star Wars Universe should have a universe of game play options.

I was huge fan and your target market, Bioware fan/Star Wars fan me and my friends had a great time playing the 8 stories, they were great and voice acting was great, all if us have unsubbed, our suggestion is fix the engine to support a robust game, add some great new features that give us something to do other than a gear grind and we will be glad to take another look at TOR, best of luck all..:)

  7. I wouldn't count on there ever being a season one at this point.

I am afraid there's more thruth to this stamant than I care to admit.. :(^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I think the dev's hands are pretty much tied, beacuse of the Hero engine, I think the game will never be much more than it is now. We can want until the cows come home, but they can't do much much with this weak sauce engine they used, thats why we don't have open world pvp and a few other things I have heard the dev's say will cause a performance issue, which really makes me wonder how bad the hero engine has gimped this game, I don't know if they will ever make the effort to right this, it would be a big task thats for sure.. It is sad really, I was a huge fan of this game, :(

  8. So, in short, once again, the game's terrible engine is to blame for such an annoying limitation.

I think the hero engine in the end is the bane of TOR, I do not think Tor will ever be much more than it is now becaue of the Hero engine.. It will be something that baffles me why a company with huge budget, cheesed on the engine, I am sure it was a money thing, but really, I am glad TESO dumped the hero engine early on and designed thier own so they can have the game do what they would like it to do. :(

  9. When you have a pve and pvp game, pvp always seem to be the bane of the dev's, you nerf something that was over powered in pve and the pvp'ers cry, you nerf somehing over powered in pvp and the pve'ers rage how pvp is killing the pve game, one side always gets the shaft in these kind of games, balance is something that may never be achived in these games. I know they are trying to make as many people as they can happy, but what a pita..

Games like Leagure of Legends which is huge that is a pvp game, I think most of your true hardcore pvp'ers end up in games like this at some point.

  10. Should be fine, I have a i7 on an asus sabertooth mother board 16 gig of ram, I still run a evga gtx 460, I play tor on high with frames of 60+ in most areas, I have yet to find a game I can not play on high or above, I play lotro on extra high dx11 with 60+ frames per sec, human eyes can not tell much after 32fps any way.

Everyone has an opinion, but if what you bought suites your needs thats all that matters.. :)

  11. Wasn't GW2 supposed to do that?

Every new game is suppose to lay waste to any older games, ESO will be a good game I am sure I plan on playing it but it is a different kinda game, not going to be your standard wow clone thank the maker.. :)

And does threating to unsub carry the same weight in a free to play game ? with people buying cartel packs like crazy what do they care about a squatty 14.99 a month sub, but I think it can still be a way to show displeasure with the product, maybe if there is enough mass unsubbing they might raise an eyebrow, I dunno anymore..
