I agree! I am tired of waiting as well, BW has lost what could have been a gold mine and an awesome game. Gamers will only wait so long for the things that are to be expected from a standard MMO (LFG, PVP rankings, sandbox pvp / pve, UI customization, the list goes on and on! Yeah the Bio drones can say "How can you expect the all these things that other MMOs have developed for years?" I say Fooie to that. The standard has been set, the major programming issues solved, BW / EA should have been focused on adding these very key elements from the start. BW/EA you failed on this game, and your customer base, so please don't fail this game any longer and get all those things you KNOW needs to be in this title. I will wait for 1.3 but if the key items are still missing I will know that 1. Some exec. producer is calling the shots, or 2. Some exec. producer is calling the shots. STOP IT, and let the Designers Design! Producers and above need to stay in the Office and let the design / art / engineer teams fix this thing before it is too late. I have seen this kind of failure first hand in gaming companies before (3DO) ooh shocker, EA was started by the same guy that failed 3DO hmm...

WoW are leaps and bounds ahead. Just a comparison.

Hey, I have a GREAT idea.
Lets copy a slowly dying game but not make it quite as good, add voice overs, and pray nobody will notice they're playing an old, outdated, overplayed, boring game.
And when we lose almost half a million subs in a quarter, act like all is well. Nobody will notice.

I have to say I still love all the people who are claiming the game is a failure.
The attention span of some of these users is unfathomable. What a drive-thru culture we live in.

I was shocked how good swtor is. havent played a mmo for more then 5 levels since wow an i have 2 50s in swtor. an now d3, guild wars 2 as well anyone else feel overwhelemed?
You havent played an mmo for more than 5 levels and you think your opinion is worthy? Haha.
Lets see,
Rift takes about 6 minutes to get to level 5.
WAR took about 9 minutes to get to level 5.
Aion took about 12 mintutes to get to level 5.
Such a broad experience you have in games of such depth.

A tick box saying "LOOP MUSIC"....diablo 3 soundtrack will be great, and apparently gw2's soundtrack is on par with WoW 1.0, so in the end ill be happy either way.

The reason SWTOR got high numbers from the start is the name STARWARS. Not the quality of the game. It's the quality of the game that makes subs skydive.

I did look at the competition. WoW once said that about 40% of players stop playing before even reaching level 10.

In the scheme of things, those are apparently the only MMORPG's with an active subscriber base between 1,000,000 and 12,000,000. Technically only 5 games. Yeah.

Fun fact, all MMO's lose subscribers in the first months. All MMO's generally have horrible retention rates. WoW was an anomaly, a perfect storm. Trying to re-create the effect it had is pointless because in the end, there will 'always' still be WoW with its lumbering subscription base.
1,300,000 subscribers honestly isn't that bad of a number, if you stop trying to compete with WoW subscription numbers and just look at the subscription numbers of EVERY OTHER MMO.
Its not the numbers that are bad. Its the rate of the incline/decline you need to look at.
Along with incoming competition.
