  1. It is time to give this thread a gentle nudge to the top again. We are again looking for a few casual, mature players who would like to join us for ops runs. Since the original post we have cleared the Terror from Beyond and Scum and Villainy ops in hard mode, and made inroads into Dread Fortress (3/5 so far).

We run ops runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from abt. 20:30 CET, and while we are hoping for a few active players, we have no requirements to attendance. Real life comes first.

Contacts are are above, except Kandar isn't active anymore...

  2. Thanks for the input. We went in again tonight and succeeded in downing Thrasher in hm for the first time. We used a tank, a healer and a slinger up top and it seemed to work perfectly. :)

We ran around when snipers came opposite side, but called out for the dps on ground to throw in a few AoEs vbefore we could get there to kill them off.

  3. Hi all. :tran_cool:

Our guilds slow (but steady) move into hard mode ops has led us to Thrasher on Darvannis. We had a few good attempts last night, but a few questions about mechanics confound us a little. We've read/seen the Dulfy guide and checked a few other places, but can't find any hard intel on the mechanics around the roar/shield removal off the snipers: We tanked her in the center, and moved towards the snipers when they popped. Is there a known range you need to get within to have the roar remove the sniper shields? Some times it looked like we let the roar go off too far away to get the shield down, but I've also read that sometimes the roar didn't remove the shield at first chance...

We also had soem issues getting to the demolitionist before that. We tried ranged dps and sentinel leap, but couldn't "see" him. I think it's related to the small protuberance on the edge providing some cover. Is there a sweet spot you need to be in to target/jump to the demo?

  4. Thanks to everyone for chiming in. At least we've confirmed that it's not a bug but a case of Doing It Wrong. In our case it seems we're just not quick enough, and/or that we don't stand still for long enough. The last few runs we had this the people killed by the deletion were on top of each other, so I think we have the positioning right just need the timing :)

We haven't had a chance to try again since this, as we've had our tries on DF hard (Draxus is tough!) and S&V (questions on Thrasher in new thread :p) at our HM evenings

  5. We're a casual guild that enjoy the challenge of hard mode ops from time to time. Recently we've grinded to a halt on our hard mode attempts in TFB on Operator's colour deletion in the last part of the fight. For some reason we seem to lose a lot of people to the colour deletion, despite people running to shield. We often see two people lieing piled up on top of each other dead. It seems to be a bug, but I can't find anything on it - are there anything else we're missing?
  6. Tranquility is a casual guild for mature players looking for a few more to join our ranks.

    We are:

…a pre-release kinship with our own website (forum, raid/event planner, etc.) and voicecom (Mumble).

…a medium sized kinship with 15-20 active members.

…mostly high level players, who also have lots of higher and lower level alts.

…adults, with a life also outside of the game. We are a casual kin at heart, and there are no requirements to attendance or time spent.

    You are:

…an adult player seeking companionship in SW:TOR

    ... casual

    …any level, any class.

    We offer:

…a friendly and helpful community, be it at lower or higher levels.

…companionship and guidance on your way through the levels to lv55, and regular instance runs at lv50-55. We are currently running the new 8-man ops at 55 in SM to gear up, will start on the hard modes once we have enough people geared up. Weekly runs of the 50 ops' to gear alts.

…guidance and advice from experienced players as you progress from lower levels - through our forum or in-game.

…crafters at top levels in all crafts

If this sounds interesting, have a look at our website at tranquility-guild.org or contact me or any of our officers in-game:

    • Wert'en (alts: Cy'rene, Bamboozle)
    • Evanagh (alt: Evaleigh)
    • Garvik (alts: Malchor, Jarka, Shadowmane, Nashiya)
    • Kandar (alts: Jollese, Inisha)
    • Ryokó (alts: Shizukamia, Yelena-zalanta)

  7. I believe I tried to leave a low level alt the guild, but I think there is/was a rule that one needed to be over level 10 to be a guild leader and all my played alts were much higher and wanted them on the new server.

If I knew this was gonna happen, I would have sacrificed my highest low level alt to stay there as guild leader, but at the time no one knew what was gonna happen with these servers and there was no info on it.

Sounds strange. When we moved last time I left a fresh lv1 character behind as GM of the old guild...

  8. Now I understand there are a number of posts on name changes but I haven't seen any dealing with this issue and I'm wondering if anyone has any info that could clear this up.

Yesterday I logged in and and noted on top of 5 characters needing a name change, my guild also needs a name change. Our guild transferred over to The Harbinger from Krath in the first rounds of transfers and reformed the new guild on The Harbinger,

The origin guild was given to an inactive officer toon and the active players all moved over to The Harbinger. Now I'm wondering if my old inactive guild is causing our new guild of the same name to have to do a name change. Has anyone else had any similar issues?

You are correct. We had one old guild on Hidden Beks that got left behind when we moved to Nightmare Lands. Now, both guild were moved to Red Eclips. By renaming the old, defunct, guild from HB our guild got the name back without any renames

  9. I think it's an AoE and it's got a long range. There are a few spots in the room you can hide (like behind the pillars of the doorway). The punishment's always behaved like this from what I know.

My best tip is to tank from range, as ranged aggro means it won't do the punishment. You'll still get pulled in, but if the one with aggro moves fast, and you're lucky, there will be fewer punishment attacks.

  10. I recently went to the Guild Bank Access machine on Carrick Station and spent 600k on our first guild bank tier. The question now is - how do I access it? The 600k are gone, and I get no new question about purchasing, but when I click the 'Guild Bank Access' machine now, nothing happens anymore...?

I've also tried he normal Cargo Hold Access, and nothing there, nor are there any settings in the guild details about this, from what I can see. Is there a way to set it so, say, recruits can't access the guild bank?

Edit: Nevermind - a logout/login fixed it. And the settings I wanted are there.
