  1. you can, but do you really want to be that boring?

Go out and enjoy leveling, its a real big bonus in this game versus other games AND youll level 100 times faster.

as for the bonus, i dont know

  2. because its supposed to be more fun to get a surprise? cant you face the idea of a surprise? i suppose its best to be able to anticapte everything and plan for everything, so you can be ahead of everyone else and control everything (GTN prices anything to do with this post, i wonder).

They should know, by now, what their player base wants ... for me, theyve pretty much supplied what i want ... so why bother to engage people. Waste of time and a waste of rescources.

All they have to do is read the forums, all you have to do is whinge/whine/post on the forums and theyll hear ya. If enough people agree, then they impliment.

    easy

  3. personalised ships = couldnt care less.

guild ships have benefits = no way, why should i be punished for not being in a guild. Like the idea of fleet ships for guildmates though .. thats interesting.

having a house to myself = you could have burglaries, court cases for your lazer defence alarm system cutting a burglar in half and you go to jail for excessive force ....... and all manner of cool stuff bwahahahahah. you could select what world to have a home on, have todeal with local criminals and beasties. some planets provide random benefits and you its purely luck to whichever one you get. This is a cooool idea.

  4. cant we have stuff like those scary guys you save from prison.

Y'know, the ones with angry grrrr faces. the dreadguard guys.

    more grrrrrr.

maybe some "your face, here. Call 1800 OUCH" stickers attached to lightsabers .. "jedi do it with other jedi .. im just sayin, is all" stickers on the back bumper of your vehicle. (im only jokin about the jedi bit [cough]) .. but how fun to have little stickers you could type anything in to and it would be displayed on your vehicle? "my other bike is a wookie" come on :)

    y'know, fun things.

less deadly serious all the time, more fun most of the time.

if i want job-type games, id go back to wow.

  5. jeckers, i didnt know there was bots in this game now.

    since when?

ugh, some people are just scum arent they.

how can you spot em? in wow it was easy because you just had to follow em for 1 round of their travels and theyd follow precisely the same map route.

I used to love reporting bots in wow or killing em.

is it there same in SWTOR, fairly obvious to spot em?

  6. mare sure you're rested at all times, get the xp bonus thingie (hate it and youre a bad player tor using it BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to you) and do quests on each planet.

Keep giving gifts to your companions, as they progress in storyline you get quests to talk to them .. xp for nothin.

If you hate taking things slow and enjoying the storylnie (the best part, most players agree) then id do the daily fp and pvp quests. Fine xp and you can queue for them whilst questing on planets.

You can do the daily quests, for daily comms, on belsavis/ilum etc from 47 (as far as i recall) and they are heavy xp too.

Make your char a healer/tank if you want insta-queueing for FPs, thats also handy for quick xp and gear. Heroic 2mans/4mans also give a tonne of xp/gear/moneys .. make sure you do them all on each planet. Dont wait around for a group for 2 hours but do make sure you ask in general chat and dont be shy to join other teams.

My personal favourite .... discovery dings.

Youre travelling around the place and you get a small amount of xp for discovering new places. I LOOVEEEEE dinging to a new level by discovering a new area on the map hehe.

  7. you took one hour to come up with a name for a character on a computer game, bearing in mind you can use apostraphes in naming characters on this game.

you took one hour, thats 60 minutes, to invent a name for a character on a computer game ... a name that could be literally any combination of letters.

you took one hour to do that, one hour.

    60 minutes.

    3600 seconds.

to think of a name, that can be any combination of letters up to and including a certain length and with the option of apostraphes and other things.

    one hour, it took you.

    one hour?

i'll give you one for free .. name your next character jaroom'bohray.

There you go, just plucked that out of my head in one second.

and no, you cant have xxxdpsdkdpsdkxxx .. just in care you were thinking of it ......

try being even remotely inventive and you'll be just fine :)

think of it as an oppotrunity to replace stupid dull lazy names to cool new ones .... yay you :D

  8. Horrid thought.

Removes any effort of players to decide whats best to do for their character and creates models of "farm this place til you get this item and never go back" mentality.

let alone getting whispers from random people with messages like "oh, if you upgraded your item blahblah to blahblah you would get 0.011565% more accuracy and thus an extra 0.2276736736 dps from a figurative movement with minimal impact on CD regeneration" and then having to reply "F**/*/*/* off you fat spotty nerdy loser"

Once you go down this route, the game loses any mystique and entertainment value of "oooo thats a big upgrade, cooooool" or 'the screaming ***** fights about whether comps can roll need on items'.

all of this type of nerdy spreadsheet warrior stuff just kills off enjoyment of games and makes games in to jobs.

i dont want SWTOR to become WOW2, so anything that is synonymous with wow must never be replicated here.

We lead, wow follows .. dont forget that.

  9. the last thing i would want is to have a dev talking to me. I play on the test realm and report my findings there, i come on the forums and pass my opinions there too. If EA/BIO cant get enough feedback from those two then there is something wrong with EA/BIO .. not the player base.

yukk, what a horrid thought to know that devs would be ingame "chatting and having a laugh with players" BIG BROTHER indeed ..... ugh, nightmare.

  10. everyone has been asking for this since the game began.

It would be such a giant leap forward for MMOs and would show the world that SWTOR is inventing new ideas and developing the game beyond the norm.

How annoying is it to level up a gatherer and have to mail the stuff to a manufacturing alt ... drives me insane.

  11. just put em on ignore and revel in the thought that they will struggle to get groups ... this is extremely effective if you are a tank or healer, not quite soeffective if youre a dps.

once EA/BIO enable cross-account ignore lists, well then the lil ninja is in serious trouble aint they mwhahahahhahahahahahah.

  12. well, your best bet ... and what i do .. is to gather comms from each planet and but gear for my comp/player when i leave the planet and move to the next.

If i have enough, i always buy the 24 comms epic bag. if not, then i buy gear for me (if its a bi upgrade) or focus on my comp.

If, by any chance, youre talking about bonus series missions ... you get a tonne of xp and credits AND you get the storyline.

what happens if you like one item of gear that is available from an old planet and you dont want to kill-farm the comms to buy it ... you can go and do the bonus series and get lot of comms and buy your cool-looking item that you didnt pick up the first time round.

    its a non-problem, sorry.

  13. I have a 35 Mara and a 41 Jugg.

I dont level them much mostly because there are just so many abilities that i feel i need to use in every fight to maximise efficiency in killing and therefore achieving mission objectives.

I have a 46 Merc, 50 Sage, 50 Sniper and a 50 Assassin. None of those i feel overwhelmed with abilities. Hell, on all of them i am quite happy using only 4-6 abilities for every single fight, not including big cooldowns when needed (eg. oh sh!!t buttons).

When my Assassin was 46, i finished her class story whilst only using a maximum of about 6 abilities the whole fight. And i could have done it half asleep.

It is just the Sith Warrior classes that i am not able to watch the screen at all - i am forced to permanently pay attention to the ability cooldowns for priority abilities.

My Jugg for example, is Immortal talented to ensure survival with Quinn as permanent companion. Ensures i can solo everything except heroics very easily and most importantly - EFFICIENTLY.

aye some classes are easier to play. To be honest, just keep at it and youll start to enjoy it .. i promise.

my op healer, wow it was tough when i first started to play it ... then i got in to the groove of healing and now its my main.

Its all about giving a class a go .. you might hate it (sniper, for me) or you may love it (op healing, for me).

generally, people choose their first char in any mmo because of what they were in another game and want to play a somewhat similar role .. or the complete opposite.

I wouldnt whinge until you give it a full go at 50, thats where all the good stuff comes in :)

  14. Ya one tool with the same exact post on Jedi Convenant all yesterday morning too changed his name at least 3 times...

Reported and ignored, but the problem is... I have to do that 8 friggin times because we cant seem to have 1 Friends List 1 Ignore list account wide!!!

Do something BIOWARE, don't let this crap run rampant like that other company!

aye, a very good solution to goldsellers is an account wide ignore list ... i believe the ignore currently functions that the entire ignorees' account is ignored, not just that particular chacter. If that is true, and i believe it is, then i love it.

but having to listen to some racist shout stuff, put him on ignore and then log to another character and have to read it again, that is very annoying indeed.

as for the OP, i havent seen a single goldseller spam since the first week of launch. Red Reaper doesnt seem to be hit much by them. We all knew that F2P would bring the wow mentality/players to the game ... hence why i was personally so dead set against it ... increasing numbers of the servers has just made lag bad and players attitudes worse, but thats a different story eh.

Got one mail from a goldspammer .. just reported it, took the credit and deleted it.

  15. Ok so from the livestream, it was announced;

Freepers get 4 character slots instead of 2.

Preferred status players get 6 character slots instead of 2.

Preferred status players now get 4 quick bars instead of 2.

if you don't know, now you know.

awesome, no point in subbing now wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  16. One area are would be the companion system. This is one thing that SW:TOR has that other MMOs do not have.

It only makes sense that you expand on the one thing that your competition doesn't have, in order to capitalize on that market. Are there a lot of solo players who don't like group content? I'm sure they would love content that involves them and their companions, which they can solo.

Create companion content which requires all of your companions. Missions that only you and your companions can accomplish. Some class stories already have a glimpse of this, where the companions that you did not select are npcs. You can even copy Mass Effect and Dragon Age style.

This will be a new content for solo players and can keep them playing.

This will create demand for gear because now you need to buy gear for all your companions instead of just the one you are using.

Create epic arcs for all companions, to get the ultimate unique weapon for them. Make it a grind for companions. Further keeps players playing.

Make companions more useful, like somehow make them useful for hardmode FPs through strong presence gear. This can alleviate tank/healer shortages too.

Expand the companion system further in other ways.

yea, i like this idea. Always thought it was a good plan. Maybe you could unlock new clothing changes for your comp .. stuff like that. Nothing you can sell, just fun stuff.

Epic weapons for em, i also like that idea.

maybe gear that can be got through different ways, thats also a good idea. sick and tired of my comps having to wear hand-me-downs.

dont like the idea of using them in fp/ops though .. that would just laed to exploits and cheats.
