  1. Yes, and I could deal with the lack of policy enforcement as it comes to behavior; typically the RP community is strong enough to discourage that (LotRO's Landroval Server is a great example).

If, minimally, there could be a naming policy to prevent things like Solo'Han-Job or Ownyapwnya showing up, that would help.

What Luca said is correct, unfortunately. When you're at the server list screen and have a role-play server selected, it specifically states in the description that there will be no official support to enforce names or role-play behavior. The role-play servers are merely flagged as such to attract role-players.
  2. I would agree with the OP except that I don't enjoy all of the Warzones, nor do I enjoy same faction PvP, therefore, a poster before me who stated something to the effect of "give us choices before being punished for dropping out" is a sentiment I echo.

Were we allowed to have check-boxes next to each Warzone map to indicate which one we would like to queue for, followed by another checkbox to indicate that we will play same faction or not, I would say, by all means: a good half-hour at least of punishment for going AWOL, at a minimum.

  3. I thoroughly agree with Arrakeyn and the original poster. I have unsubscribed because of this and a few dozen other things. I read here just to keep up with everything... and hope...

I know not everyone shares this opinion, but for me, same-faction fights are a game breaker.

Actually, applying that logic, we should be able to then opt out of Same Faction matches.

As those players are being punished for wanting the Faction system to, you know, mean something other than which set of emotes and special effects my class powers have.

Instead they are being forced to fight same faction people.

Remember the logic that mandated no whispers/messages/mails across factions because that would be game breaking, encourage cheating and most particularly open the door for harassment, grief/smack talking and abuse?

So I guess all those justification cases are dead now so BW can apply the quick fix of just letting everyone shoot everyone regardless of faction?

Ok. Just wanted to make sure we're all on the same page for what the justification cases were for this update feature.

I agree with the OP, I'd happily opt out of same faction battles and wait for one against the opposing Faction if that toggle were provided. For that matter, let me opt out of Huttball too so I never have to play another match or any other war zone i'm not interested in playing if we want to avoid 'punishing' us for wanting to play how we want to play.

That way, I'm not being punished and made to play scenarios I don't like either. Only hurting myself by having to wait longer for matches after all.

    That makes sense to me.

There was nothing punishing about his request but plenty of punishment potential in fighting same side matches you don't want to deal with as a player.

I know people for whom this sole 'feature' is an unsubcribe issue, they hate the idea that much and it's been their primary complaint about Huttball from day one. They picked a side wanting it to matter for conflict and lore reasons among others.

This undermines that entirely and is a bad change aimed at masking dropping player levels, no more.

  4. I'm a Republic guy. I've got to post here if for no other reason than to agree with the OP on the problem in hopes that developers will see the massive response to this and take heed. In essence, I'm casting my vote: The faction imbalance is going to kill the game if not quickly addressed.

Bioware, please take heed. I know 2 people in my gaming circle that became fed up enough to go back to their prior game of choice, although saddened by that choice... they told me, "when they fix it, let us know." Another friend gave up playing Republic and went over to Empire becoming part of the problem instead of becoming part of the solution.

Me? I won't keep playing forever either without some hope that you guys are on it. My server (Jung Ma) isn't as bad as others... but that's largely because many Republics are hearing of it and instead of switching factions, they're re-rolling on Jung Ma. From what I'm seeing, wise Empire players are just as concerned as the Republics are because we really enjoy this game and we all want to see it succeed massively.

Please, Bioware. I love this game. This is a huge issue that needs addressing. Thanks for paying attention to us paying customers. :-)

  5. Hello,

I'm looking for a screenshot of the Orlean Rebel Speeder Bike. I haven't been able to find one through the normal channels.

Also, for the Level 25 speeders, is this the only "bike" available? All of the other speeders put the character in a standing up position.

    Thanks in advance,
