  1. Pfff... Thats because you are lazy..

Just gather group of 2-3 or more players and go to the any planet.. For example Aldaraan or Hoth..

Seize the spaceport and begin harrasing the low-levels and they certainly will cry for help (even at Fleet..) Backup will come..

    Have fun..

Thanks for comin in here and trying to kill the buzz with your 3 negative posts. Go away troll, you lost my respect and get my personal **** YOU. Go away to the pve server you belong on.

  2. Besides Ilum, what are some of the more populated areas for people to stir up some world pvp? It's annoying to travel to random places, just in an attempt to stir up some world pvp. Half the time I dont really find anything worthwhile, and im not on a low pop server. Posts like this are a breath of fresh air aside from all the QQ going on in forums.
  3. Only people I worry about are those who know what they are doing and work as a team. Every one else is none of my concern.

I gotta agree with this guy. Only the good players are OP because they make the bad ones...well look bad. Most classes are generally okay except for a couple annoyances. Yes some classes are better at certain aspects than others, but thats the rock-paper-scissors effect. There is no "OP class"...each class just has their strengths and special niches they fulfill.

  4. It's really only the op healers that have issues, I think.

As a tank, I prefer mercenary healers over either of the others for endgame PvE hardmodes and operations. I take a sorc healer in ops for raid/group heals, mercenary for main tank healing. The mercs are just better when geared and played properly - the only disadvantage mercs have right now is a lack of AoE healing power and no battle rez.

Operatives do need healing buffs, in particular they should be able to build up more charges of tactical advantage and the charges should last longer, allowing them to be used when needed rather than on a constant basis. Operatives also need either a shield (like static barrier) or reactive heal (like kolto shell), or the ability to stack up their HoT more than twice. Operative and Mercenary AoE heals both need an improvement, and Mercenaries need a battle rez.

Still, even with all of that the difference isnt that big an issue right now, IMO. Healing as a sorceror is definitely -easier-, but that doesnt make it better, it just limits who can be most effective with what class.

Stop asking for classes to have the exact same abilities, just because Class - A doesn't have Class - B's and Class - C's abilities doesnt mean make everyone the same. WOW did this with every class to the point where NO CLASS was unique at all. Keep all the same abilities and just modify them a certain way, but asking for "extra abilities" is not the solution.

  5. Every other class and I do mean EVERY other class has a utility viability that makes them capable of being able to "do" something useful for a team.

Maurader excells in that in close combat it can hit consistnt dps (provided you get off enough rage to dish it) but it fails in that everything about this class is just bad.

This right here is the reason you have no credibility in your post. I dont need to read ANY further to realize your post is just a qq post. Marauder is very viable, we can give the GROUP 15% increased damage AND healing to the group, along with Predation (which is a GROUP BUFF) On top of Marauder has THE ONLY MS IN THE GAME. FFS stop *********** complaining that you have no utility what so ever, you have abilities that no other class in the game has. Being able to charge up to top level platforms when knocked off with the huttball has NO viability either, aparently. Go play another class if its this big of an issue, this class generally requires a bit more dedication which is fine. If it's too hard, or you havent quite gotten down how to abuse certain class mechanics, then either A - Practice a bit more, or B - Attempt a funner class that may be a bit easier to have fun with. get out of here with qq posts

And on another note, for people like you who post threads of how to "re work the class to make it viable" (AKA I havent learned to play and abuse certain mechanics, and now i wanna tailor the game so I as Rock, can overcome both Paper AND Scissors in any situation, because there is absolutely no way that there is a counter to my class) If you want to do so many changes to the class you are either in the wrong game in the first place, playing the wrong class, or should just plain work for BioWare if what you created will just undoubtedly solve every single problem encountered.

  6. This is not a thread about how good or bad the class is. Its not a thread about my own nor anyone else's personal skill with the class. Its not a thread about crying or praising. If thats what you're looking for, stop reading right now.

    1. Disruption.

This ability is supposed to be an "instant" cast. Why is it that this ability can not be used until a previously used ability has finished playing out its animation? Waiting 2-3 swings on a normal attack before being able to use this ability can be the difference between a kill and a 5k heal.

    2. Top Level - Huttball

This is a major concern. As a Marauder, the only way we can be effective is by point blank contact. Charging the ball-carrier on the top platform only to be thrown off to the bottom floor time and time again makes us completely useless. We don't have ranged abilities. This is not fun. This is not enjoyable. Perhaps an ability that keeps us grounded for 5 secs and/or slows our speed as a result? Perhaps anyone we have in a force choke pulls our target down with us?

    3. Crippling Slash

See problem #1. Same rules apply. This ability should be able to be used immediately after a force charge. The slow speed should also be debated as well. Something is broken when classes have the ability to slow a marauder and press nothing more than the backwards key to very easily prevent a marauder from reaching them.

Seriously, you are gonna complain that marauders get knocked off the top level of huttball? EVERY CLASS is just as succeptible, if anything we have it better because WE CAN GET BACK UP IN 12-15 SECONDS, UNLIKE NEARLY EVERY CLASS! FFS enjoy what you have that others dont for crying out loud. Every other class that doesnt have the charge has to walk allllllll the way around. Stop to think of what you actually have, instead of whining about "getting knocked off." Thats SWTOR pvp for you, huttball involves people being knocked off, YOU WILL BE ONE OF THEM AT ONE TIME.

Picture what he is saying, he said "Charging the ball-carrier on the top platform only to be thrown off to the bottom floor time and time again makes us completely useless." say he charges up to the top floor from another level (thats already like 30 seconds of walking you have minimized compared to other classes most likely because they have to go around) After that he gets knocked down, charge is down (lets give him credit and say he was positioning himself perfectly and still got knocked down, because it will happen, no matter who you are)He can either A - Walk around like EVERY OTHER PERSON WHO IS ALSO KNOCKED OFF, or B - Wait 12-15 seconds, target something else in the mean time if need be, then charge back up; provided LOS is not an issue. Being knocked off will NEVER be completely avoided, thats a given. With all your personal abilities set aside, you will get knocked off, period, it doesnt matter what class you are. There is nothing you can do about EVENTUALLY getting knocked off, so you can instead use boxes and anything near. It's not like ranged sits on the bottom level to dps the top level all the time, because all that takes is to move 2 feet over and you LOS all their hope.

I'm not tryin to flame on you, but look at it from everyones perspective. Everyone gets knocked off in huttball, yes you are melee and are more succiptible to it, but thats nothing a little bit of strategy cant help improve. I think its just being frustrated with being knocked off the platform in general, as being melee its pretty annoyng. Maybe get into the habbit of positioning yourself REGARDLESS if the class has a knockback, it gets you into a really good habbit of positioning no matter who you are facing. As for disruption, bugs are bugs. Not much you can do except submit a ticket and wait for BioWare, all you can do in the meantime is try to compensate for interupts, it sucks yes. But there is absolutely nothing we can do about it until a fix.

  7. i do know my rotations, and i do understand that pve and pvp are two different things... but what i don't understand is how can ppl agree that the warriors are a good class in pvp? i can understand the juggs side, yes they are useful but for a marauder no. Even with rotations and hitting 4k because you can only hit 5k on NPC or world bosses ext... the class is still horrible! im valor 58 as-well level 50, trust me i know how to pvp in any arena, but i know our class is the worst class to be in pvp, how can a inquisitor tank with pve gear almost beat a marauder with full champion gear? that is ridicules! if you haven't had played a lv 50 marauder then you shouldn't be saying anything, because ask anyone what class they would wanna be in a wz and i beat you that there first choice wouldn't be a sith marauder! and by the way marauders are the easiest class to play! do your research!

just LOL... marauders are fine. Revise some strategies, practice utilizing maximum interupts on classes, especially healers, even if you have trouble killing them. The answer is not "MOAR DPS" or "NERFZ DE HEALURZ CUZ I CANT KILL THEMZ!" instead abuse what you have, STUN THEM, INTERUPT THEM, CHOKE THE **** OUTA THEM...oh AND WE HAVE THE ONLY MS IN THE FREAKIN GAME, ABUSE THE **** OUTA IT!"

  8. This is exactly how I feel. Right now the only true dynamic in PvP is the CC system. It prevents any real pvp from happening because you have disabled your opponent and in fact are too much of an advantage.

Some people think this is "skill" where I would say it is not that at all. It strips the PvP from being a contest. Aion's Spiritmasters could put you in constant "fear" and kill you without compunction or contest. This just makes PvP laughable. Because it is no longer player vs. player, but CC vs. Player.

The real disappointment of this thread is the absolute absence of any response from BW. We are just talking to ourselves -- praying, if you will -- and hoping that "god" hears us and takes care of the problem. It is these kinds of threads where BW should be interacting with the players in regard to their design.

Are you saying you want nothing but pure smashing dps with no way to slow/root/stun your oponents? Sounds like raiding to me. What about light armor characters....wait, thats right, they dont need CC either. Snipers for example, screw snipers, there is no need to keep someone at a ranged distance TEMPORARILY, just more dps, right? Tell them just get over it, do more dps, and snipe at close range or something? They just take a beating like tanks, and arent expected to be compensated with anything? I hardly see that being viable at all what so ever, if anything stuns/roots...etc are just tools for strategy. Use stuns tactically, for example - Marauder charges a sniper, does the sniper want to stun early to get the jump start on dps? Or wait til he charges, then stun him KNOWNING his charge wont be up for 15 seconds. Anyone new to pvp is likely to have no legitimate strategy besides "charge in, kill <enemy>, win." At least this post gives you a basic idea of one of many strategies, like "bait his cc breaker, to maximize full stuns afterwards" I'm sure you've ran into PLENTY of noobs derpin around in a warzone and using their stuns mindlessly, if you havent noticed they are probably quite useless and fun to fight. As being a complete pvp/arena junkie from previous MMOs, I would say that this system is great for what it was intended for. IT NEGATES CONSTANT CC CHAINS...PERIOD. It's a bit buggy, yes it could be improved a bit, but thats to be expected, especially with a new massive MMO.

  9. I'm having a sun tzu quoting day:

If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles.

    Sun Tzu

    aka: l2p

This is what it comes down to. Stealth is in no way overpowered. They have the "suprise buttsecks!" element, but other than that it really comes down to how you react to the situation and USE your advantages, instead of whining about theirs. If you REALLY think that class is so op compared to all other classes then why not BE op. You have the same option as they did, to roll this so-called op class, do it. Just dont complain about it

  10. I personally love Mara because it's one of those classes that seem to shine more when taken the extra time to learn abilities/strengths of it. The upside with Juggs is being able to provide different important roles as needed, unlike the 3 Mara specs - DPS DPS and MOAR DPS.
  11. Interupt em and they still heal, focus them and they pop defensives and instant heal.

Seems we now know where the QQ came from, grats on your accension to godhood, may the PvP matches be a snorefest to honor your need to be unkillable.

Sounds like someone is mad about surge nerf or something. Go away with qq posts like these, healers are fine. Healers arent "godmode", every class has their weaknesses, find it, abuse it. Dont qq about not being OP, abuse your classes strengths.

  12. Play another class if you dont like the number of keybinds. If keybinds are seriously an issue with "too many buttons" just try another class out instead. There are many different classes, explore them and find out what you like instead of picking up a class and complaining about a certain aspect of it. Not calling you out, just find a more enjoyable aspect of the game, thats all it comes down to. I love not having macros personally, because it forces you to think a lot more, therefore raising the skillcap. I'm all for competition of players, not half automated classes.
