  1. Okay so I've read many of threads as far as mathematics go and tbh I don't comprehend a whole lot of the algorithm part of it. What I'm looking for is a basic rundown of gearing up my tank assassin for end game raids,fp's,ops,etc.

    I'm curious as to know which is better as far as stats go and about how much I should go into each stat. Is it better to go with defense for avoidance or shield for mitigation? Mainly just need some help as far as which gear I should be focusing on. Any help is useful but really just looking for an order of importance with stats. Thanks for sharing!

  2. It's not that they are able to beat ANY class 1v1.

     

    It's not that they don't have a counter in any form.

     

    It's not that they are the best at EVERY WZ objective.

     

    It's not that they are the best ball carriers in the game.

     

    It's not that they are the best at killing the huttball carrier.

     

    It's not that they are best node/door defenders in the game.

     

    It's not that they are one of the best node takers in the game.

     

    It's not that they can hit for 4-8k Force Lightning every 8 seconds.(With a 1.5 min CD it is a 30m 8k damage auto-crit ability that slows its target and heals themselves for 12%. And people think ravage is OP?)

     

    It's not that they have all the utility of a tank. 2 stuns. A pull. A taunt. An aoe taunt. A guard. A vanish. Stealth. Self cleanse. CC immunity. Force speed. A mez. A ranged aoe slow. Self heals.

     

    It's not that they do almost as much damage as a squishy dps.

     

    It's not that they are unkiteable.

     

     

    The REAL issue behind why Tank Assassins are overtuned is simply because they can do all of this at the same time. Why would you pick any other class to play? A class that beats ALL others 1v1, and is the best at EVERY WZ objective? How is that even remotely balanced? What is the weakness of an assassin? Why is there a class with no hard counters?

     

    I don't care what they change, but something needs to be done so that they aren't the best at everything that matters.

     

    It's called focus firing stop wasting your time trying to solo him bec you can't solo a tank that's why they're called tanks! More pew pew and less QQ

  4. Pre-50 PvP is totally different than at 50. You won't be very effective with defensive stats on your pvp gear at 50.

     

    why is that? i understand that expertise probably becomes more of a main stat at 50 but will defensive stats like shield rating and chance really be complety useless? ive actually been planting a bomb before and had an op shoot at me twice with his blaster and i managed to deflect both shots while planting the bomb and succesfully planted it,uninterupted. so shield is definitley something i like and prefer to keep but i dont understand what would make it less effective?

  5. Thank you, people seem to want the best of everything. I've tried playing kinetic spec (shadow tank spec) while in full dps gear. I couldn't for the life of me kill anything that fast. Hey look there's a healer, he can out heal my steady dps.

     

    One on one I can sometimes out survive my opponent but my dps is laughable. Sticking with infil (middle tree) I'm able to put out some serious damage, getting my attack from behind ability (name eludes me) or assassinate (played assassin first for a long time) to crit can destroy some players, especially healers. Throw in what he said plus the extra CC we get half way up our tree we can put out some serious numbers.

     

    I can take down enemies quite well now one on one, healers aren't as much of a pain, and hell I've been able to take down 2 bad players or defend a turret long enough (blowing my defensive CDs) to allow my team to come and help me.

     

    I get a massive kick out of facing tank speced assassins for the fact a lot of infil's damage is internal, which is only reduced by about 3% from that tank spec.

     

     

     

    Mark of power + Charge Mastery = 19% Internal Damage Resistance Sucka! Tanksins FTW

  6. I play a tanksin 31/10/0 and i absolutley love it! Im currently level 46 and go for nothing but defense shield and absorption,yes the dps is a little soft but my survivability is better than any. i have yet to come out a 1v1 situation with a loss its hilarious watching 4 guys pound on me while i murder one of them then stealth out. Shock, Wither , Thrash, Shock, Spike,Stun, Force Lightning (repeat) You can live forever on just this. God forbid you get some heals GG :D

I hate the people that run around thinking theyre so good bec theyre killing people but theyre doing in the middle of effin nowhere and have no idea that pvp is objective based and that you need to be doing something,anything! I play an assassin so im practically the stealth version of barry sanders, and it kills me to see people try and walk at about 20% movement speed while being ***** by all 8 of the other team while im jumping uncontrollably on the top rafters yelling to pass the ball and they just keep a walking, then when you finally get the tards attention they say "uh i was stun locked" b.s *****hole noone likes the tuna here!
