  1. I was in a group that was fighting 10 stack Dreadtooth. After the 50% health mark for the boss, my character suddenly dropped dead even though she had 100% health. I wasn't attacking the boss during its electrified phase, I didn't have the Dread debuff, I was actually playing a healer, and I didn't step in front of the boss nor did I stand in red circles, get hit with the rock toss, didn't revive and run back or get resurrected, nor did I get DT's bleeding dot on me. It wasn't late in the fight where DT just kills everyone after so many shrieks nor did the tanks turn the boss toward the group. The death notification said I died from a Shriek that was around 2700 damage.

I've killed DT multiple times over the years since 2.0 and have several characters with the resurgent title. I've also had one stack DT randomly kill people like this, myself included, where we simply drop dead, but only since 7.0 launched. So with all that being said, is Dreadtooth currently bugged?

  2. Like the title says, GSF isn't fun for me anymore. I just got done playing a domination match where five of my teammates finished with zeroes in every category except for deaths, but because they were camping on a satellite, they were "contributing." We lost, of course, and while I'm fine with losing, it's disheartening to be trying my best only to look around and see multiple teammates who aren't trying and haven't been from the start. It happens in every match now regardless of server or time of day. Yeah, I know it's a game, this has been going on for a while, all that, but it's a waste of my time to constantly be getting these teammates who are only there for their participation trophy. I don't have faith in Bioware to fix this issue, so rather than subject myself to this repeated annoyance, I'm either going to do something else with my SWTOR time or cut back on SWTOR altogether.
  3. It's a funny coincidence that you'd be online at the same time as this other character, but that's really all it is. I named a character of mine after a member of a band I like and ran into someone else who named their character after a different member of that group. We acknowledged each other, but that's about it.
  4. The main ones that do it are the conquest driven guilds, that only allow a select number of alts and the statement if you don't do xxx amount of conquest a week, you are out of the guild.

    So . . . Sanctuary?

Also when i play my low level alts conquest is what helps me level up

Maybe it's just me, but I can't imagine someone getting a ton of levels from conquest.

I recommend a trial period for the changes in conquest, and if it doesn't work out to the players satisfaction and they can show cause, then conquest exp and points should be restored, credits is a different story.

    Good luck with that.

  5. Players can earn rewards by doing the following:

    • Logging into PTS
    • Completing a Class Story on any Class
    • Complete all expansion Story content
    • Reaching item rating 322 with one of your characters and complete the PvP, Heroic, and Flashpoint Weekly Missions
    • Completing all of the above

I have a question about the 322 thing. Do I need to be item rating 322 or higher while completing those weeklies? I just got to 322 after finishing the heroic, pvp, and flashpoint weeklies for 1/18 - 1/24 and am wondering if I'm done as far as the rewards go (I've done everything else) or if I need to do the weeklies again now that I have 322 gear.

  6. Now let’s talk about why achievements are not currently transferring via Character Copy. PTS Rewards are back! Players can earn rewards by doing the following:

    • Logging into PTS
    • Completing a Class Story on any Class
    • Complete all expansion Story content
    • Reaching item rating 322 with one of your characters and complete the PvP, Heroic, and Flashpoint Weekly Missions
    • Completing all of the above

  7. Why are they trying to fix something that is not broken?

I'm not trying to be one of the people who sits on the fleet waiting for a chanc eto be snarky in chat, but trying to fix something that isn't broken seems to be the theme of this expansion. The old character sheet was fine. The old inventory and ability windows were fine. The gearing system is a step backward with too many currencies flying around. Gear matters again in top-level unranked PVP; that playing field is no longer leveled. I think the only thing I like about what's on the PTS is shared tagging and having a second combat style.

  8. On Vulkk's page about the PTS rewards, he says:

To get the title “The Cutting Edge”, you will need to complete every major story mission up until the new and still unreleased expansion, this means everything up to and including 6.0 Onslaught.

Here is a list of achievements BioWare provided for you to track:

“Revenge of the Archon” or “Taking on Toborro”

“Facing the Shadow” or “Confronting the Shadow”

    “Complete Chapter XVI of KOTFE”

“Complete Chapter IX of Eternal Throne”

“The Race to Refuel” or “The Failsafe

Is this true? I'm asking because the character I've been doing everything with is on Objective Meridian, but after the cut scene, I'm dumped outside the flashpoint's entrance with no way of progressing. I've done the usual things like trying to reset a phase, resetting the mission, logging in and out, etc. Nothing has helped. The console next to the entrance is inactive. I'm simply stuck. I've completed everything up until that point except Oricon, and if I don't have to progress further, that would be great as I could focus on other stuff.

  9. This is my first time on the PTS. I created one character from scratch and just copied another. When I go to the character select screen, I see my created character, my copied character, and a second version of my copied character. However, the second version has a gibberish name like when the devs make you rename your character. If I try to log in to any of them, it says I've been disconnected because a character copy is in progress. How long does the copying process take? When it's finished, will I just have one version of my copied character?
  10. I have some questions about the group finder bonus mission.

    1) Is it a daily? For example, if I do TC via GF and get the bonus mission, can I get it again before the next reset if I do SM Queen via GF? I believe the bonus mission is a daily, but I'm not 100% certain.

    2) If a group has collective story mode lockouts for Queen, TC, and Monolith, will they get the GF bonus mission if all eight members stay in the group and queue for the fourth op? I'm referring to the members of the group who haven't done anything in GF at that point for that day.

    3) If I've already done TC and gotten the GF bonus mission, does that prevent others in future groups from getting the bonus mission? I don't think it does, but a guildie was saying it does and seemed insistent.

If I'm unclear on any of my questions, I'll happily clarify. Thanks!

  11. It definitely is "No." In fact, the mere fact of taking the "The Hunt" mission from the mission console, without even pressing "Launch" or "Play" or whichever it is, is sufficient to close those unfinished conversations.

The part about accepting "Chapter 1: The Hunt" cutting off the conversations is incorrect. For example, I'm logged in as my Sith Juggernaut who has accepted but not started that mission, yet she can still talk to Pierce, Vette, Quinn, and, for what it's worth, HK-51. She's already completed the conversations with Broonmark, Treek, and lightside Jaesa.

  12. Is there an efficient way of getting the seeker droid achievements for digging up enemies? I've been doing the main seeker droid quest and checked my progress on those achievements, and I have "Here There Be Monsters," but I got that back in 2018 and am not even halfway to "What Lies Beneath." Any advice?

For reference, they're under Location --> General --> Seeker Droid. The third achievement is called, "Terror From Below."
