OK so we all have read that Pyro will be changed where the free railshot can only be procced every 6 seconds. Now it will be pretty much guaranteed to happen every 6 seconds. But my issue with this is the heat issue. That's 6 full seconds that rail shot will not be able to vent 8 heat. Now combine the dps drop because of the change, along with being overheated rediculously soon which also means you can't do anything other than your free shots. Am I missing something?

I'm an assassin, and personally I like the project and just shadow's in general their animations better. I feel like project has a more bursty aspect to it because that 2 seconds that it takes to hit chains right ontop of your next attack. I love when damages hit at the same time and overlap eachother giving it that wtfpwn feeling. Like gunslingers with their two 3k hits that mesh together and makes the numbers look ssomething like -337524 lol and then you are like ****!!

If they're going to nerf the hybrid spec then they should fix full madness. Currently you run out of force constantly. It's not really even that viable in PvP or PvE at the moment because you spend half the time unable to do anything but force lightning people (as the cheapest force ability you have). They're great up until then. Part of the reason people went Hybrid wasn't just because of chain lightning + wrath, it was for the regenerative abilities as well.
I mean, a full lightning spec will basically never run out of force, but do absolutely paltry damage. A full madness spec will constantly run out of force, but do great damage until then.
Personally I don't think it needed changing at all, but I guess it's true BioWare just listens to those who whine the loudest instead of looking at actual PvP. Sorcerers are hopeless in 1v1, everyone knows it. The real problem with this nerf is that they haven't balanced anything, they've just crippled one of the only good things we did without balancing out the things we already did incredibly badly. If a class is strong on one side and weak on the other, you don't cut off their strong arm and say "Balanced!", no... you even the two sides out so they're equivalent. But I don't think anyone is foolish enough to think they're close ot even at the moment.
Take a wild guess how often you'll see Chain Lightning, all 2.8 seconds of it, anymore.
just respec madness. and get over the fact that ALL classes run out of resource

one time i had a sorc tell me that he runs the other way when he sees me in the WZs also "Dammit.. all you have to do is glance at me and a third of my health is gone" this sorc has been in BM far longer than i have and had a 720k dmg voidstar one time (he was on my team this time ) I dont think that they were really OP ever. heals or dps.....

I dont see why people are freaking out over the marauders, most people who reroll marauder wont know *** they are doing first off... second how is marauder the wtfpwnz0r any class in the game? I have ZERO problem with a rage marauder's smash as an assassin, even in easier in deception.
Just pop force shroud after their very first hit then they wont even get you down past 85% health LAWL.
If its that easy for deception clearly the definition of squishy then other classes should be able to beat a rage marauder.
the only real threat is their smash, which is a joke,
DONT let them run away from you then leap on your head which stuns you and lets them smash your face... you only have to be 5 meters away from them to be away from their smash... a good ranged shouldnt have much problem.
They wont smash without their stacks for extra smash dmg..
essentially LOS them if you can lol, dont let them get away from you when they run away
I see very little threat from marauders now, and unless I am missing something SOOO important then they will still be a poor choice for pvp
I am speaking 1v1 specifics, if they have a healer you are going to be focused on their healer while they are smashing your head so you will prob lose unless you have a healer then youre fine. If you cant count their CD for force leap and smash and cc right b4 its up it buys you loads of time.
IDK what to say about operatives but it doesnt look too great for them seeing as in deception they are easy enough to kill already because their stealth is even more broken than assassin's and i can ALWAYS see them while dueling (no we are not in the same party while dueling) so they never have the opener, and even if they get it, oh noes they hit for for 4k!! oh thats it, ok finish them off.

75% is the magic number for surge...
as a darkness assassin (31/0/10) high amounts of crit is not required (because of the build), and you get enough crit from your Willpower

for leveling i used a shield, never messed with a focus, cus i used dark ward and i never took damage as shields can work wonders in PVE but for pvp I use a focus although I have been seeing a lot of great shadows and assassins using shields and doing very well in PVP

I run 31/0/10 and always have. I mainly PvP with in a 4man premade which always has a merc healer.
I typically open with Wither, then Shock until I close distance if Force Pull is down. Thrash to proc Energize and then shock again. After 3 stacks of Harnessed Darkness, Spike (or Electrocute) to set up a Recklessness cast of Force Lightning. Thrash to build another Energize and Shock to consume the last charge of Harnessed Darkness.
I use the basic attack if Force gets low and use Wither/Discharge on CD keep them slowed.
I use the Battle Master Survivor Ear and Implants with the Survivor armor pieces and the Champion Stalker enhancements with Crit/Surge.
Run a Stalker Focus since shield protection is broken for PvP.
If you run PvE get Dark Ward from the talent tree and use a Shield Generator

pretty much the same rotation except i couldnt understand if you were saying you used Force lightning with only one stack of harnessed darkness? which would be a waste as you wont do max damage and no heals.
and i use a stalker set with power and surge mods and enhancements.
the stalker set gives me 3 charges of recklessness for amazing burst.

force lightning can you say 2400 ticks?!?!
then quick shock to use up energize and recklessnes = my highest shock in darkness 4803

yea we are pretty well off right now, although I was a little sad not seeing some changes other than how our skills look and sound.

im a deception assassin and i agree these would be pretty nice changes except for the voltaic / clairvoyant increasing their resource usage, i like it, but lets be real.. I dont think we would ever see that implemented, as that would be way OP lol. But the rest of those would be damn good. I agree with the avoidance as do you really ever see dodges? (like you would in other games?) I see parrys from sorcs and sages only (***?!?!) on my Assassinate ability, hows that supposed to make sense?

These are my "off the top o my head" specs, and i do damn well
~26% crit
~75% surge
melee bonus damage is 409
force bonus damage is 730
expertise is like 550? im going to go for 500 to gain some more power
you want as much power as you can get your hands on
crit isnt all that important
i have 1.6% alac (gives me an extra tick of Force Lightning )
idk if you want any other infos?

i dont trust that "ignores 9% armor and 6% damage" i have never noticed a difference and Ive tested it for about a week... I dont think these two truly work lol.. the duplicity just makes your maul hit harder if you havent noticed lol... i havent seen those two talents change anything but i can SEE the chain shock i like the added burst cus it wtfpwnz
