  1. OP, I'm sorry you, and others, are having performance issues. I would suggest contacting technical support since there is a team working on that, and being able to submit your tech spec and dxdiag dumps will help them more easily track down the issues, hopefully.

BioWare has already stated that 1.3 will have additional performance optimizations. It hits PTR tomorrow, feel free to check it out, and if you still have issues, submit bug reports on it.

At the same time please try and realize that not everyone is having performance issues with the game. This means that even if its something that BioWare can fix, it might be hard for them to track down and fix. This is why bug reporting and contacting tech support is so important if you are serious about wanting it fixed.

With large diversity of combinations of hardware, there could just be some weird interaction that makes things run slow, so without the right information its never going to get fixed.

It seems 1.3 not only did not address the issue. But added in some server lag along with the unresolved FPS lag. Game still runs like ****, as expected.

  2. "just be patient guys" BW is handling this appropriate and effectively as usual. I will continue to play on my server that has a total population of 10 for the next month! But really, a big shut the **** up to those brown nosers on this forum ;).
  3. Millions of character transfers? Are you delusional ? This game has barely an active 60k subscribers or so. There ARENT millions of characters waiting to be transfered. The amount of people being transfered from those servers alone probably equates to around 200-300. And that's being generous.

Overall, way to fail again Bioware. Sucks to suck.

  4. This is the same **** I heard when 1.2 was on test. "Omg, 1.2 has vastly improved performance". Patch comes out, FPS is even *******r than before.

But then again, who cares? The game is practically dead with a peak of 15 people on the fleet during prime-time on my server, which is considered one of the the MORE populated servers. Ain't that funny? "We don't need server merges"

  5. Nah. The next section should advise people that the above fixes can not fix stupid.

I did what was suggested in this forums and the difference in performance is tremendous. So common for people to blame a developer for a crappy engine, etc; when the very problem is with the players own computer.

Its ******* like you that prevent the large player base that play this game from getting a fix. I average 220FPS in wow in populated cities (stormwind) and around 185 in BGs. I have tried this game on both my desktop (GTX570, 16gigs ram, i7970) and my ASUS G73SW republic of gamers. And guess what? Both have issues with stuttering ingame and sudden FPS drops anywhere when objects have to be rendered (PvP). Please tell me my hardware isn't within specifications. A 7 year old gaming desktop should blow this junk out of the water.

Oh would you also like my 3DMark scores as well? Or maybe some other benchmarks?

BTW I did all these tips prior to this being posted and blaming my poor FPS on the game's engine. I actually did hours of research and tried dozens of fixes to no avail. So kindly **** and look at a much more informative thread that covers far more

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=327922

Good luck actually getting these fixes to work :)

  6. Still no update on performance improvements. Oh BW, and you wonder why your game is dying.

Oh and to all the Biodrones posting it's my specs; keep in mind that a thread regarding the awful optimization of this games engine has over 10k posts of users experiencing the same issues. Averaging 20-30fps on the fleet may be acceptable for you clowns, but not me :jawa_biggrin:

And I guess that would also explain my 200FPS in populated cities (stormwind, ogrim) and even higher FPS in BG's in WoW. But yeah, silly me. Must be my computer.

  7. My specs:

    9850 quad 2.5ghz

    4 Gb ram

    radeon hd 4550

    no sound card

I run this game fine on medium to low settings. The only time I ever had a problem was when my graphics driver updated and I had to roll it back. Maybe you should stop thinking that you're system is amazing and run it on lower settings.

MY system shouldnt be able to run this game on high with 16gigs of ram GTX 570 and an i7 core? Really? So that must explain 30fps in the fleet in 800x600 Windowed mode in very low settings? Can you explain the stuttering in a resolution and graphics setting that an obsolete computer from 9-10 years ago should be able to run flawless?

Kindly shut the hell up, its idiots like you that prevent a good amount of players who experience these issues getting a fix.

  8. Well considering I run my computer on 16gigs of ram, i7 970 CPU, and a GTX 670, I'd hope I would be able to get a constant fps of 60 or above in populated area or pvp zones. But that doesn't happen, 20fps Avg in WZs 30 in the fleet. It's funny because I get the same drops when the game is in very low GFX in 800x600 res. But must be an issue related to my computer according to BW
  9. So, it seems alot of people have forgot about how terrible this game runs on high-end rigs. Does BW plan on improving this awful aspect of the game? Seems like they threw this on the back-burner and have no plans on addressing it anytime soon. Anyone else still experience the very annoying stutter and fluctuating FPS issues?
  10. Yes, re-roll on one of the most populated servers. I just started a Trooper on The Fatman after getting a Gunslinger to 50 on a dead server, moving to another server to level a Sage until that server died...but Fatman is literally like an entirely different game. There are people in general chat, 100+ people on some planets and the Fleet, you can actually see other players...it's how every server should be, tbh.

God forbid, I can only imagine how terrible the FPS is on the server considering the load and how terrible this games engine performs. FPS Stutters anyone?

  11. Get out while you still can. This game is going nowhere from the looks of things. Just take a look at 1.3, no real content is being added, just a stupid LFG tool. Much good that will do since most the servers are dead and it isn't cross server.
  12. So what did you like about 1.2? The terrible customization for the UI? Or maybe the lack of content and rated WZs (You are probably a casual pve'r if you think this game is great)? Or maybe the jumping around the fleet for hours waiting for queue pops for WZ's or in your case operation groups?

But don't worry, 1.3 will have a non cross-server group finder! No rated WZs, no world PvP, no game optimization (performance issues are STILL being ignored), no relevant content. You keep telling yourself this is a great game fanboi

And if you are trolling, you are successful

  13. Lets face it, the majority of us are playing on servers that are dead. One of the reasons I can see for Bioware not merging servers is because inactive people suddenly become active during new patches or events. I myself noticed over 200 people on Tatooine during the first day of the Rakghoul Plague event. Nevertheless, this should not keep Bioware from merging servers. Even with cross realm Warzones coming (if they ever do), playing on a dead server where world PvP is dead, isn't any fun.

I believe that the majority of the servers should be merged, while a few low pop servers are kept up. Once this occurs transfers should be free for the first several months, so that if their merged servers experience a queue, or they don't want to deal with the population, they can move to one of the lower population servers.

This unfortunately will result in having almost ghost-town servers, but at the same time it's not that much further off from where we are now.

Thoughts? Trolls? Comments? I'll take them all.

If they charge for server transfers, I will unsub immediately.

  14. Daniel Erickson: Although there were the expected small stumbles that go hand in hand with a content release this large the reaction was extremely positive. We saw a huge uptick in concurrent players as people rushed around to see all that had changed since launch. Legacy was the biggest hit by far and Tython specifically saw a large influx of Sith Pureblood Jedi recruits.

Oh man the lies just get better and better. Extremely positive and this game do not go hand in hand. Just look at the forums.

Oh and no mergers? RIP TORtanic, and hopefully EA :)

  15. So when is performance going to be addressed as a "known issue"? I know that you guys are aware of the poor performance issues players with high-end computers are facing. Is there an ETA as to when you expect improvement? It's been 4 months and not only has it not been fixed, it hasn't been addressed. Also, when is rated pvp coming out? As a PvPer I find myself sitting in the fleet doing nothing but waiting for queues to pop now that Illum (our only world pvp planet) has been thrown on the back-burner. I know these questions won't be answered but I thought I'd just throw that out there ;).
  16. I've tried the ramdisk, it hasn't really improved performance. If anything it made my loadscreens shorter. I have really bad stuttering issues that not fixes it really, run the game in the lowest res and graphics and I STILL lag in the fleet lol.
  17. There IS a reason and I am not trying to be rude I swear, your computer is sub par. This game has very low system requirements compared to many modern games. Crysis 2 is THREE years ago, running that is unimpressive.

    Oh yeah?

    i7 970

    GTX 570

    16gigs of DDR3 GSKILL

    PSU1000watt

    Sabertooth x58 MOBO

What else do I need to play this game well on my sub par rig? Please enlighten me

  18. Ok, this is my third thread (others got deleted due to profanity). BW, is there any reason why I am still getting 20 FPS in Warzones? My rig is good enough to get 55FPS av in Crysis 2, but apparently not good enough to get 40FPS in windowed mode 600x800 in VERY LOW GRAPHICS. I GET THE SAME FPS REGARDLESS OF ANY SETTINGS!

SO can you please explain to me why I am STILL getting terrible FPS? I have 3 RIGS all HIGH-END, none of them get above 30FPS AVR in warzones, or any area that has to render other characters.

So please give me an explanation as to why I can't play this game at a decent Fps.
