I agree, I would like it to be something relatively hard/time-consuming to obtain.
In swg mandalorian armor required a lot of farming/time or $ to get and it gave you a sense of accomplishment when when donning a suit you farmed all the Binary Liquids/Protective Liquid Coatings(main components) for.
But in reality they would gain more profit having them as rare drops in cartel packs.

I have a question pertaining to performance on TOR and computer specs.
I have Samsung RF711-S01
Intel® Core i5 -2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz
RAM: 4GB
nvidia GeForce GT - 540m
The game runs without any issues when questing, space missions and doing heroics.
However when I'm in flashpoints or fighting world bosses and there are more than 8 players in my general vicinity I get really bad FPS issues. I keep settings on low, my drivers are up to date, avira anti-virus, defrag, ect...
My question is: Would upgrading my RAM to 8 GB from 4 help with my FPS Issue? Or should I look into investing in a PC with a better CPU?

I resubbed for end-game armor customization & transfers
I was pretty let down when i spent money transferring the mods from my champ gear to my mandalorian armor only to find the set bonus didn't transfer.
As stupid as it sounds I really enjoy looking different from everyone, it gives me a greater sense of immersion & realism.
I know some people think losing the set bonus isn't a big deal I just don't think a player should be gimped because they want to look different from other people.

Hello swtor community,
Just had a question I haven't been able to find an answer searching the forums.
Will there be any new social gear introduced with 1.3?
I'm all about having a custom look but only a couple of the current social gears stand out to me.

What about faction imbalances? Similar to what happened with Ilum, the more populated faction will be able to take these bases, giving the already over populated/stronger faction more of an advantage.
I remember camping Ilum as an Imp, Running around in circles trying to snatch up armaments and occasionally seeing a republic character get zerged the second they showed up. This wasn't fun even being on the winning/overpowered side.
It would be better to put several "neutral bases" on different planets. The smaller populated faction would get perks such --- reduced time to capture a base
- base defenses consisting of npc's or turrets
- expertise buff - scaling the underpopulated faction's expertise to champion or BM expertise/stat level if they are under
- immediate quick travel between captured bases or bases under attack
Maybe a mix of some of these perks to give the other side a fighting chance, or anything that helps facilitate "hit & run" tactics for the losing faction.

after tarro blood the BH story kind of goes down hill IMO, I agree with the OP. I'm getting the all these theme-park linear mmo's, games are getting dumbed down and made easier to draw in main stream gamers.
I think another part of it is that I will never have that euphoric feeling I had when I played my first MMORPG. I may play gw2 when it comes out but I have been keeping an eye out on the korean mmorpg's currently in development. specifically archeage.

Coming from a complete sw fanboi ( i played swg from 04 till the end and I absolutely loved it, I also plan on reliving Jar Jar Binks mania in 3d this friday)
What have I enjoyed out of swtor pvp.
About 5 minutes out of the 10-12 hrs I have spent in Ilum. The very rare time there was a balance between factions and an epic fight, lasted 5 minutes before the word got out and the place was swarming with imps.
Out of possibly 70-80 warzones I have played there were about 3 games I would say I had a blast in.
-Huttball coming back from being down 5 to win the game.
-Another huttball game, it was tied and we got possession probably .5 seconds before the match ended.
-Alderaan - came down to the wire another close game.
Trying to get the blue matrix shard on tatooine, taking the blimp a half hour to find a rack of level 35 pubs camping the jawa crawler ( lucky I was lvl 50 and was able to get the shard). <- the most messed up part I travelled in the blimp with a lvl 30 pub I could have 2 shotted at anytime but I wasn't gonna be a d-bag and I let him travel unharmed. He repayed my generosity by messaging his pub friends to jump me at the crawler) republic scum.....
Overall my experience in end-game pvp has been a let down but there have been those few occasions listed above where I have gotten a glimpse of the games potential.
Add Cartel items as super rare OP/FP drops
in Suggestion Box
Posted
For instance, white crystal could have a .005% of dropping on the last boss for an OP.
Just in general having a larger loot table for FP/OPs they dnt have to be cartel items specifically. Items that aren't just gear. This gives an added bonus to the people grinding away at PVE.
Also, this makes FP/OP more appealing to non-subscribers who have limited access to them.
Which would raise subs.
