It is most likely a hardrive issue. The game is trying to load textures and your HDD can't get them out fast enough.
A $130 500 GB velociraptor or an ssd would fix this issue for you, or since you have 8. GB of ram you could also make a ramdrive.
But yes your system is showing its age a bit. Upgrading your GPU would be a decent idea, but don't waste your time on any of your main components besides the HDD, a new build would be a much better investment.
You realize that a HDD has no effect on framerates; it only effects to load screen times. All the HDD does is store the information for the CPU to access. The CPU handles all of the changes on screen, with the GPU rendering images.
OP, there is a patch that is enabled on your CPU called a TLB Patch/fix. It was set in place in order to limit the CPU processing speed by about 40%. This effects Phenom I / II processors. You can disable it in the bios or download a program to do it for you.

I agree, although there is some pieces of gear that are tied to the lightside/darkside alignment. It would break gear for non force users that use those pieces. However removing alignment requirement from items such as the light/dark sub level 50 relics could work.

The same thing just happened to me, except mine is with a Bounty Hunter. Random strings and numbers on both sides of the choose AC window.

If it would be possible as either a CM item or even a chain quest reward ( which I think would be pretty cool). I would like to see the X-34 speeder added to the game. It is the speeder Luke rides across tattooine while searching for R2-D2 in episode IV. recommodations are as follow`s
1: have pvp missions from quest givers
2: have pvp awards say wz comms or even say pvp gear or even slot`s stuff for your armour and weapons
3: have way stations like the republic one in dune sea except they are conqurable
4: valour awards for doing it
5: if you die during a pvp quest you have to restart it to stop farming
please added or subtract from idea

Well I think the devs have plans to fix Ilum at some point. And this request was basically the whole idea behind Ilum.

I am looking for an active Republic leveling guild. By active I mean; regular datacron hunts, guild flashpoints, guild pvp runs (both wz and world pvp), and just a mature active group of people.

So I sqw people talking about them in general saying it is a purple bar near the EXP bar but i don't have a purple bar can someone explain this to me?
I would review the FTP limitaion menu here . I think FTP are restricted from having a Legacy. In a nut shell, Legacy is your last name for characters server wide, it gives you options to; species unlocks, character unlocks (both per character and legacy wide), as well as some quality of life upgrades.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that the legacy xp is shared with all characters in that legacy. You gain legacy levels which give you access to more unlocks. A percentage of xp you gain from missions, killing mobs, etc is put toward your legacy level.

So as in the title, I'm stuck on my friend's spaceship. We started playing together and we finally got to the point where we get our fist spaceships. He's a smuggler, and we got in his spaceship for the first time. On the ship, I can't even see him, there's no door, just the space. I can even jump through it and fall in the space. I cant sue quick-travel, nothing seems to work. I'd be grateful is someone could help me out. Thank you
Are you FTP? Because I believe that you guys do not get fleet passes. In that case, I would que for a flashpoint and when its done it will ask you if you want to return to last location or flashpoint exit.. Click Flashpoint exit. Unfortunately this will use one of your weekly flashpoint grants.

I made a second character yesterday. My first character I'm up to level 24 or so, and got my second to 11. On my second though, I noticed 2 things.
1. Training to drive a speeder mount can be acquired at level 15, with my first having to be at 25, which I still haven't gotten to yet.
2. The legacy tab opened up on the top.
The way it explains itself in the tab doesn't entirely make sense to me, something about a surname and such. I have heard people say you can get a speeder at level 10 with legacy. I was just curious how the whole legacy system works. I don't understand how it matters if I can unlock it at a lower level anyway since if it still costs 35k to train it regardless, I won't have that kind of cash. My level 24 still only has 40k credits and I didn't get that much until recently. Does the cost go down too? What are some of the other perks of legacy and how does it work in general?
In patch 1.5 the legacy is now granted at lvl 10 I think. Also speeders can be trained at lvl 15 instead of 25. Here is a link to the patch notes

Can we get an announcement or news? It seemed that you were delaying this until after F2P hit. Now it's here. Are there any obstacles to you giving us some news on this?
As much as we all want this...(along with hood toggles). Give them a week. I hear servers a full and I suspect even more people will be logging in by the weekend. 1.5 hasn't even been live for 24 hours.

Last night, I had to go, so I logged out of swtor, but I didn't "quit". I came back an hour and a half later, and I saw about 4-5 o the North American servers full!
Hooray!
I would have to agree with the others, we will have to wait a month to find out. However this is Bio-ware's second chance. If they can roll out new features and updates within another 6 weeks, I think they will have more subscribers.

I logged back in for the first time in a very long time excited about free play. I have roughly around 2500 coins to work with. I wanted to know what unlocks should I focus on first if I wish to continue to play free play and still be able to enjoy the game. I was thinking artifact gear unlocks, tool bar unlocks, galactic trade unlocks and something else that I know am missing. Any info would help. Thanks all happy hunting.
If I was to guess, I would say expanding bank space. (I believe that is limited, although I am not 100% sure. Also if you pvp or pve, weekly passes will be a must. And I'm not sure if there is an option to expand your credit limit, but if there is that, to me, would be a must. You will have to double check on these but those are some suggestions.

I 'm a new sub and looking forward to a great time with the game. I'm playing a Jedi Knight/ Sith Warrior on The Shadowlands. I've been following the game since the open beta, but just now being able to sub. Nice to meet you all!

Social network pages, Google+ In particular, have posted the date for the FTP option to go live. I have seen a lot of people interested in the game but don't know a lot about the FTP. I encourage all of you to help bring new players to this game by posting and answering questions on these post. I have been answering a lot of peoples question that I think might eventually lead to them joining us. Bioware is trying to make the game more available to different groups of people and I say we do our part.

Been a member since 2009 and played was in 4 or 5 server wipes for Beta. I have had an active sub since December 25th, 2011. May not play as much as I used to, but I'm not going anywhere.

It says in the patch notes that the legacy system was introduced in 1.2...
Beta is prior to 1.0, btw.
The system was expanded upon in 1.2. This system existed before that as a last name and another xp bar only. They wanted to give us the ability to gain legacy levels while they fine tuned the system itself.

Even to have the Head-Tails (they are called Lekku's just so you know, for future reference) come down the front of the body when the hood is up, would work in my opinion. As posted before, it worked in beta where your lekku would come out of the hood as if their were holes made in the hood. This has been asked for for awhile, I have yet to see a comment from the devs on it though.

Bowdaar is a Wookie who is a Smuggler Companion.
