  1. Oh I forgot - what yall are doing is the classic bait and switch.

Stop creating a problem and selling us the solution - this isnt a free service. People pay you, contractually, to provide a service. If you produce bugged or broken or poorly designed content/infrastructure - its your responsibility to fix it, on your own dime. Stop selling us premade solutions to your premade problems.

    Get some Honor.

  2. This person is just dying for attention and y'all are giving it to him. This is not an issue at all.

What this person is attempting to do is much worse than it appears. By spamming the forums to make it appear that there is an issue where there is not, could potentially gain the attention of the swtor team, thus potentially leading to a nerf in an otherwise fine portion of the game.

Irregardless if someone is or is not "botting" th, it doesnt mean it needs to be nerfed. Plenty of good and normal people run th as often as possible, and it provides a healthy form of income. Thats balance. Your attempt to drive something balanced by making it appear to be operating maliciously is the only fault here, and your consistent posting on the forums is the only empirical evidence presented thus far.

It sounds more like the possibility that you botted for the last year on th, secured a solid billion or so credits and then want to have the funding to the skill decreased so u can sit like scrooge on your easter egg. Of course just like your post, there is no evidence to support this.

Stop wasting peoples time and reading space and find something worthwhile to do. Youve already reported it, and the people that receive those reports are there to deal with bug and exploits. TH is neither, but if someone is botting, they will deal. U dont need to do anything further than that.

  3. Im glad each and everyone that recently posted have found this guide useful and cleared the Championship.

As far as the pet fight, it appears u need to pay attention to where your companion is standing in reference to the circle of protetion the pets have. Also i highly suggest having your companion on "Healer" spec for the 6th boss fight with the pets. They will instantly top you and themselves off and do plenty fine dps.

Glad to hear back from all - and yes completing the championship on multiple alts is only for the most dedicated for titles and such, definitely not necessary unless you want Bowdarr on an alt.

  4. It has been pointed out in several threads, that with the new companion system in KoTFE, we get new companions.

However, there is an issue in that many of these companions are cross faction.

The conundrum is that companion customizations for those are BoP and in inaccessible areas, thus a majority of their customizations are locked to one specific faction.

Can we get a vendor that provides access to cross faction customizations?

    Thanks!

  5. The game is just fine, and doing better now than it has ever in the past actually. There have been tons of doom and gloom threads throughout the years - but the game is continuing to advance regardless of the vocal minority of naysayers.

Sure it would be cool to have 1 east coast, 1 west coast and an overseas server...but guess what - some people enjoy their hermit style of gaming, many want to avoid the masses of not so great gamers and stupid general chat that reduces iq by the second.

There are also issues with consolidation, the primary one being guilds losing their decorations, ship arrangements and such.

Lastly new resources have been reallocated to this game from others, and there is a plan already for the game through 2018. In 2012, the doom and gloom said they would make it to 2014, in 2014 they said no 2015, in 2015 they said no 2016, here we are. Say no 2017, but guess what 2017 will be here for season 2 of kotfe without a hitch and it will continue on to new horizons in 2018 regardless of what doom and gloom a vocal minority may suggest.

Bottom line is there is enough revenue to keep this game profitable (subs a plenty and whales for cc and multiple sub accts). Its also supported from all angles, disney, lucas arts ea, and so on.

Its here for now, and unlike Star Wars Galaxies (my personal favorite) there isnt a licensure issue - that is the only thing that will kill something this big. There are plenty a players. Size of fleet doesnt dictate quality of game. Besides the fleets on the populated servers being more than usual, an active game means people playing the game and not sitting on fleet anyways.

  6. Been playing around with a few tests and such, hope to post some more tips here! Hows everyone else making out? Did those who were having issues eventually clear it?

For those still having problems, it really helps to:

    1. Increase your companion affection and have them on heals,

    2. Use your heroic moments, if you have a full legacy the cooldown on this is ridiculously low

    3. Use the Kolto Stations only on hard fights! They are 1 time use, do not respawn.

  7. Hmmm. I can't seem to get the Sprint Champion achievement. My closest run so was on my Sorc healer with Lana as DPS for all 10 rounds. I did it in 17:03 (if we could just get rid of the announcer time I'd almost be there).

I could respec to dps, but I have mostly 220 gear and none of it has accuracy so I figured having Lana dps would be better. Should I go dps? If so, Madness or Lightning?

For sure, I do recall some sort of actual feedback interaction regarding this somewhere in the last couple of days, lets hope it gets adjusted

  8. Let me tell you a story about someone who got to round 9 without a companion because...well...I thought you cannot summon it since I had no icon to summon one.

I entered Eternal Championship deciding to not look for any tactics on the internet. So, I start round one, two and I notice this thing is not easy. I like it! I get to Nocturno fight and fail around 5 times. I believed my failure is my gear. I have non-augmented Defiant set (216). So, that is where I get stuck and decide it is time to look for some suggestion on the internet. There, I find Youtube video of Dulfy with 'some' dog companion fighting her way easily. So, I am shocked. Not only did I not know such companion exists, I assumed it is something you get when you enter the arena thus conclusion is made: I AM BUGGED.

I search my toolbars to find the icon to summon my dog. Yep, I am bugged. Finally, I get through Nocturno as a healing spec. Each try took me 15 minutes.

Then...and then I get to round 10. Still alone. I manage to get the boss guy jump out of droid. However, every time the droid heals up. So, 5 times I bring droid to 49%. The guy jumps out and droid heals. I still blame my gear and decide to search for more videos...aaaand then I find a video of guy easily killing the boss with LANA (what?). I am shocked. And then it got me. I press N. I see the list of 20 companions waiting there to be summoned even my lvl 35 Pierce. I slowly click and summon Pierce. He asks me where is the action...I show him the boss. We kill the boss in 4 minutes ;(. I felt like crying out loud!

There. ;p I felt like sharing. I am still ashamed.

p.s. I was out of the game for quite some time only logging in to play trough new chapters...but still...

Point is: read this because your 'summon companion icon' might be missing. Just open your contact list. :rak_mad:

Thats pretty awesome, and the fact that it can be done without a companion most if not all the way is a good idea as well.

We could have true solo challenges and alternate theories on boss strategies without companions. Especially fun for those who find EC too easy, have them do it without a companion.

And yes - key point to note, make sure u have your companions out otherwise!

  9. Regarding accuracy: Is that so? Afaik only world bosses and operation bosses have 10% defence. Flashpoint bosses usually have 5% and anything beyond 105% is wasted on a flashpoint.... I would have to record a fight with parsec to say for certain...

Honestly, its a good question! Anything over the listed amount for any specific encounter will still work to reduce, so if its 105% and you have 110% it will still help - but would be good to know if these are in fact 105 or 110. I would suspect it to be 105, since it would be unlikely new players would be rocking 110% at this point, but you never know.

  10. What kind of stims are you using in it? I am doing it with my tank right now (using a damage companion) and I am wondering whether my usual fortitude stims are good or whether I shouldn't rather use presence stims, to add bang to my companion. Or whether a critical stim wouldn't be better after all.

Has anyone ever tried to use a presence stim and seen how much of an impact it makes?

If you wonder why I have time to post during an eternal championship run, that's because I have run out of medpacs and am standing in the middle of the arena while companions craft new ones. I strongly recommend Advanced Polybiotic Med-Units, since they heal both you and your companion, not the Advanced Polybiotic Medpacs you would usually bring to group content.

I kinda had to RE them first, though.

Thats a good suggestion regarding the companion heal. Honestly, as far as stat stims it shouldnt matter too much what you use. Obviously, it will likely help to have max accuracy (110%) on dps toons. If youre tank or heals and relying on your companion for damage, then yea presence would surely help more.

  11. Well actually. not really. Because Conraad gets more dmg when Chomper is in reggen state. so its much faster to get him in reggen state and do some dot dmg on Conraad in mean time.

It depends on the player. A newer player with lesser gear and familiarity will have a harder time. A Geared familiar veteran will find this to be the path of least resistance.

  12. Hey all - we crafted up a nifty guide for the EC (Eternal Championship) and it also included most of the class guides as well for players new and old to get help.

It can now be found here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=881834

It does contain a bit of spoilers on the entire run through so be prepared. its now in the spoilers section, which makes sense since it clears the entire event in one go!

    Enjoy and hope it helps!

  13. Very nicely done. I will add that in round four do NOT attack chompers first, instead take Conrad down to 3 or 4 percent. Then attack chompers until he goes into regen. Finish off Conraad and then the fight is over. This shortens it quite a bit for those wanting to get a fast finish.

    Nice trick!

  14. You can burn Nocturno down to about 55% safely before killing Drake. This makes the last phase a little easier.

Also, I don't bother with the belt at this point. This lets me get a lot of damage on Nocturno while they are casting the enrage buff. From there, I use mines that were left over on the ground, as well as my own stun and companion stun. ( Companion stun is really awesome for this part since it lasts so long. )

For the adds, I like to kill them with AoEs/DoTs. It is a long time before they cast the buff on the rancor, so you don't need to focus them if you can do a moderate amount of damage, letting you focus on the boss.

If you stand directly on top of him, the knockback will not put you into the electric field. You do have to be ready for the mortar though, moving to one side then the other.

Also of note: The walker can still take damage while it is recharging, giving you more time before it is up. Obviously you want to focus all damage on the boss, but something to keep in mind just before boss hits 50%.

Thanks for your input, im sure someone will find it helpful as well as everyone else's!

  15. So i cannot get past round 6 with the 2 monsters where you have to be in melee range i tried the dulfy guild but i just cant beat it.

    220 gear augmented

    Sorc

    Comp at rank 20

I just cant idk any suggestions?

What companion are you using, and what spec are they in. This is pretty straight forward as Sorc.

As a general suggestion, keep your companion on heals and force them to attack one target.

You, as a sorc then draw aggro from the other pet and keep them separate. When you have to run out of the circle to get away from berserker, just dont do damage to the pet til you get back inside its circle.

You can keybind attack command for companion to ensure it stays on one target. With a level 20 companion, u should never need to attack their target.

Once their target is down, have the companion draw the brawler away while you finish off the second pet, then kill the brawler.

  16. Key note to remember: This is just a guide and as such there will be multiple ways to approach and overcome this content. Feel free to suggest your insights and methods and even notes to add as previous posts have to help others get through. Its dynamic and always modifiable. These guides are Dulfys as stated, and hence were pulled and written pre live release.
  17. Thank you very much for this guide! I tried the championship today for the first time but was stuck on boss 6. Kiting worked for some time but then I could not get the second beast to follow me and with both beasts my companion got killed soon.

I have mostly 216er gear on my dps sage and level 36 Lana - I will try to find out why I am not doing enough damage to get the aggro. I am not interested in doing OPS or HM flashpoints but I would very much like to finish the championship.

Hmmm? Youre very welcome - yes that boss fight can be a challenge. I always use direction commands for my companion which can be bound. You can direct which mob they have to attack, and then you can draw aggro from the other, regardless if they are in tank, heal or dps spec. Hope that helps!
